THE FASTEST MASERATI EVER MADE? Maserati Granturismo FOLGORE

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

I felt really honoured to be personally invited by @maserati to their Folgore Day and to test drive the beautiful Gran Turismo Folgore. Italy is one of my favourite places in the world to drive, and this car just tops off the experience. Grazie Maserati ❤️

Well done Becky for highlighting the special feeling that Maserati gives even without the mechanical sound…yes we want that sound but not a computer generated version so just enjoy the sounds it makes…EV’s have been decided as the way forward so we must get used to different experience. Next job…try the Grecale version…it is just sad that buying one in the UK takes bravery and optimism with the depreciation aspect and patchy servicing but…does it add something that other cars do not have..charisma! 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂

A great review, but I feel the lack of V8 sound in the heart of a Maserati, is going to be its downfall; plus the residual values will fall further on any EV, perhaps it would be best to get into once that initial price drops when purchased as a used car.

Someone has to buy it new. For the moment it doesn't have a single competitor in the sporty 2+2 GT electric space which should work in Maserati's favor. The only other 2+2 electric coupe is the Rolls Royce Spectre which is a very different car and twice the starting price.

  • @animal355

@@jpl8878 oh that Rolls Royce is a waste of money, I mean who will spend over 400k to sit it whilst it’s charging up next to a Nissan Leaf or a Renault Zoe. It’s a status car, I can’t see many owners of those dropping their wealthy standards of not cavorting with the commoners. And yes there aren’t many competitors for the Maserati, and those wealthy that can afford to loose cash will rush to buy one first so they get the bragging rights in Monaco. But like the Rolls they will depreciate quickly. It’s the unfortunate curse of the modern EV. Technology moves so fast it looses its value very quickly.

🤮 aside from my distain for electric vehicles in general, the entire world moving head first into electric cars without any real environmental impact study or proper research into sustainability is frankly scary! We are switching from one fossil fuel to another (in all the minerals etc required to build batteries) without having any idea if there is any where near enough of this stuff to actually keep us going. Not to mention the enormous damage done to the environment by the mining required to get a hold of them.

Yeh, because shale fracking and oil extraction in general does nothing bad to the environment. Plus those minerals would still be mined regardless of whether electric vehicles existed or not. Becky how can you drive an environmental offender and I am 1000% sure you have the wrong idea about electric cars. Because everyone thinks that these electric vehicles are good for the environment but that is a big lie. Because no one thinks to access the materials needed to build these batteries, you actually have to cut down 100's of thousands of trees and dig in the ground and these huge holes will never heal and it kills wildlife, pollutes lakes and forces humans move. THINK now Becky and I take a village called Vittangi which is one car outside my town Kiruna in northern Sweden. Here, a graphite mine will be created to mine 120,000 tons of graphite per year, the area to be dug will initially be as large as 348 soccer fields. The EU has previously hammered through that the EU should become self-sufficient in countries that lack graphite, and Sweden cannot stop this. I think that before you think it is so positive about these electric cars, go to the countries that mine these substances. Also go to Nunasvaara, outside Vittangi in northern Sweden and see how this beautiful nature now that is there with all the lakes and animals that are there and think how this will be destroyed. It would have been better for the environment and the earth if they instead allowed environmentally friendly synthetic fuel that does not destroy nature. If you keep talking about electric cars, you need to read up and find out if electric cars are as environmentally friendly as they claim. Fuck all the lies about how good electric cars are. Then lest we forget, think when changing the batteries in this Masarati or other electric cars of this size or larger will cost AT LEAST £40,000.
