Watch 'Alpine Rivers: The Cradle of Life' here: • Alpine Rivers: The Cra...
This is a nature documentary, which leads us into the fascinating world of deep mountain lakes. We conquer ice palaces of unsuspected beauty. In the freezers, in which elves, fairies and mountain trolls once did their mischief, we move, using a special breathing technique and with special cameras in search of nocturnal hunters, whose eyes are equipped with residual light amplifying receptors.

This mountain range crosses Europe in a wide arc for 750 Miles - the heart of the continent. A place of magical beauty, a place in which elves, fairies and mountain trolls live - according to legend and fairy tales. Krampus wanders around there too. Beware naughty people Using specialized and specially developed cameras, rigs and equipment; recorded in 2K cinema format - we bring you a little closer to the enchantment of these magic Mountains (yeah, I know. Disneyland. The Matterhorn. I waited hours to go on that ride.) Peaks of ice, fabled castles - the Alps have many different faces. This world is icy and dangerous, with intricate limestone caves and magically sparkling lakes hidden from sight. The Mist lifts to reveal a breathtaking world and enchanting underwater world you’ll discover with us. A Wonderland in the Middle of Europe -You'd be surprised at the bizarre creatures there. Forget the munching stoicism of the grazing cows, Edelweiss and singing children. Think weird fish, sea monsters and pink lakes. Three fun facts about the Alps 1. There are still about 5000 glaciers in the Alps - half of what it was in 1850. 3/4 of the current glaciers will be gone by 2050. If we don’t change our dirty fossil fuel ways. 2. The Lynx population was extinct in Slovenia but three Lynx couples were released into the wild in 1972 and it was a success. The lynx population thrived and their offspring, cousins, and other descendants have wandered and found new homes in Italy and Austria. Did you know the tufts in its ear act like a radar, giving it superhero hearing - making it able to locate distant prey and luminescent reflective eyes make this cat an exceptional hunter. 3. The Matterhorn and Mont Blanc are two of the famous peaks - more than 120 of the Alpine mountains are over 13,000 feet high Welcome to the world of the dark and deep alpine world. They keep their mysteries well hidden.

Truly fantastic. The imagery is amazing. This ancestral land of ours really is something to behold. Even after a war that took the lives of so many Europeans life finds a way to capitalize. Truly amazing. Hopefully we can too.
This costs thousands of dollars to make and I am having it free on my Android phone, God bless you for the great works you guys are doing it is very amazing.
How spectacularly clear the water is in the Alpines. Lucky are the drivers and other photographers of this gorgeous landscape. Thanks you for this video.

What a beautiful world without war... Living in peacefully and this place is very amazing to me...greetings from Borneo Island.. 👏👏👏👍🏻
This is one of my all time favorite documentaries from this channel. (It’s a tie between this and the one about the Moors.) The camerawork is beautiful. The subject is fascinating; who knew alpine lakes had so many fascinating animals? All of it is presented wonderfully and serenely. It truly captures the romance and beauty of each biome.
If we ever crack that "frog code." Maaaaannnnnn. How they cozily exist in areas where most other creatures are covered in fur, is truly remarkable! Turning into an ice cube for the winter months and then thawing out to enjoy the warmer temperatures, (Wood Frog), is some type of Mother Nature sorcery...

My reasons for taking to this is escaping the thoughts that entwine my mind of having to go through a tooth extraction then a tormenting total sum of a number of implants. A must indeed. Thanks for your documentary. Total escape 👍
all that beautiful, clean water. no wonder people moved there, to the freezing cold, in the ancient times- water was a scarce resource where humans came from, towards the middle east. There's plenty of wood for fire, which is what also mattered. And stone, for building strong walls.
It's a crazy feeling when you see these places in documentaries and you can actually say "oh hey I've been there!"

Man, I remember that one hidden lake in our valley in Tirol which was so glass clear, it was surreal. Even though we went up there during summer time, the water still only had 5°C. Watching this documentary makes me want to go visit my family home and walk the almost hidden trails through our woods again.
