I was introduced to the viaduct by a friend. I will never forget.
I love how in the UK things are looked after and repaired to maintain use as opposed to the states where everything just gets obliterated and replaced. Your buildings and structures have so much history and character. Most we get of that is in the original 13 colonies. Nothing like this. And things are not nearly as old for obvious reasons. Thanks for showing these awesome places to us!

There'll be buildings in the US older than a viaduct erected in the 1870s, but yeah the UK is dotted with old structures, some that make the 1870s feel like yesterday.
Nice to listen to someone who enjoys his topic, without taking it too seriously. And glad it has been kept open, what a feat of building in stone, and perfect arches. Thank you

As do we
The fact that it looks like it was meant to be in that landscape, is just amazing!
Saw a pic of the viaduct in Modern Railways, got interested, and found your informatieve vid.
9:38 "Those who came before" get out of my head. 😭
