Yeah, that show was called "Top of the Heap" & Matt played the same character. It was a spin-off of MWC. MWC actually had a backdoor pilot episode of the same name which was basically a test to see how the spin-off would do.

This is what Joey would evolve into as friends progressed. "Hey Matt, we need you to be more stupid, like you were in that episode of Married With Children. Can you do that for us?" With Friends, it annoyed me that all the characters little quirks became exaggerated to the point that they became parodies of themselves. In earlier episodes, Joey wasn't book smart, but he wasn't stupid. Later episodes had him become an idiot.

@@frankbrown4780 The only comedy series I can think of that didn't do that is Parks and Recreation. It just happens when they try to keep the show funny and to be fair it worked with Friends. Another annoying thing about sitcomes is that characters can be so horrible to each other that you start wondering how can they even be friends. And again, Parks and Rec avoided that too.

These is no competition between married with children and any other serie. This is the best comedy for all time. All the new and there old ones had no comparison with this GOLDEN collection of this serie.

There was an amazing amount of talented people in that one scene. I sooo miss those times when you could still laugh at a genuinely funny show.

He was a great character. I remember when he sung Malorie's sorority anthem.. You are right about the vibe but Nick was way dumber than Joey he made Joey look like a rocket scientist.

She was my new #1 celebrity crush, putting Heather Thomas and Cynthia Rothrock (Martial arts actress) in #2 & #3 in April of 1987 when the first episode aired. 33 years and 3 months later she's still a pretty hot 50 year old. Cynthia Rothrock is 63 and stays in great shape and she has a YT fitness channel. To paraphrase Al regarding Emma Peele from the episode Kelly Breaks Out "Oh my gawd, she's 63...and she's still kicking high!!"

My favorite part is when Al helped one of Kelly's boyfriends outside but missed the opened door.

@@FoxUnitNell as far as i remember it lasted less than a season and Joey Lauren Adams was part of the cast. She went on to do films like Chasing Amy, Mallrats, Big Daddy, among others.
