you're conflating that with the paradox of tolerance. you don't have to tolerate intolerance, but not all ideals are intolerant. the cow thing for example, you can die to protect cows, but you should kill others just to eat a cow. so let's make it very specific so that we are clear. hindus should not kill to protect cows, but to die to protect cows, is still ok (but still terrible). whereas muslims, if they really care that much about eating cows, should be willing to die to eat them (again, terrible idea), but shouldn't ever kill people to eat cows. neither ideology is being intolerant in their core beliefs in THIS PARTICULAR AREA. but if hindus start killing people for killing cows (which would make US the intolerant), then we have a HUGE human rights issue on our hands. and yes, human life is WAY more valuable than animal life. if your average animal and your average person were drowing, i would save the person all day every day

Beef is allowed in a lot of states. Its a state matter. Different states have different laws. For instance in states like Kerala, Goa and North Eastern states beef is legal. But the lynchings happen when the cattle smugglers steal cattle. Its much akin to an American protecting his/her property in a red state with guns. Cows are a source of food, nutrients & essentially livelihood. People tend to get upset if anything happens to them especially in rural impoverished areas.

This is just an oversimplification of a much bigger problem. The real problem is illegal cattle smuggling. And when police is unable to stop it, you see vigilantism grow. And vigilantes by design can't self-regulate, so in their attempt at stopping illegal cattle smuggling, they sometimes end up doing what is shown in this episode: lynching innocents. Look at fiction, Batman was a vigilante, right? But in the real world, it ain't that simple. Not every "batman" is a good detective or has enough intelligence on the situation to always act in the correct manner. Mistakes happen, similar to how TASC makes a mistake in this web series and ends up killing relatively innocent students. If a professional organization like TASC can have such slip ups, can't a bunch of vigilantes? So the real root cause of the problem is: Organized Cattle Smuggling gangs in India and the Indian State's inability to enforce the law on these criminals. Solve that and you've solved this particular kind of lynching.

I have seen a boy getting lynched in a train when the boy stole a phone... I have seen a boy getting lynched when he molested a girl on the road... I have seen a boy getting lynched bcz he did an road accident... And crowd didn't even know their names , religion, cast , race .. it just happened.... And it's happening from long time... It's just due to social media, you are getting more news in this matter... Now think when someone cattel gets stolen and theif gets caught... Same lynching process does happen with that person... He was lucky enough that a cctv footage exposed the real murder... And it happened just 6 years ago... The thing is that police does work like this in India.... And PPL like you who just started to read and to pay attention to this things now won't understand it... It's illigal and wrong but it happens on regular basis fairly.. And if it's a bomb blast then automatically doubt goes to a particular religion bcz history shows that... And then police will pick those suspected PPL ... Cows are sacred for us, and it is illegal to kill cows in India. But muslims don't respect that, they intensionally kill cows and also secretly feed it to hindus, with chicken and mutton. This is the reason for Hindus to unite and raise voice against this. Every country and religion have its own believes and one living there accept the rules there. When we gave Pakistan to Muslims, some didn't go there, we (hindus) didn't had any problem with this. But slowly when there population increases, they started these hatred things. Some of them again started demanding separate state in some places. India is a country of hindus, and had a very long cultural and religious history. And one visiting or living here should respect that. Note :- as you see in the scene, we don't kill them, this was too much. People just catch the beef smugglers and deliver them to police for judicial actions. They exaggerate this scene too much

no bro it is not illeagal to kill cow in india .. every state have its own rules ..eastern and southern states eat and kill cows and this is very sad.. central govt need to wake up and ban this killing of cow in whole india

That's not true at all.. Maharashtra is a state which has the most no of hindu muslim riot issue and killing of people which is not ruled by BJP and is not in North india.. Then Kerala is the state which is involved in the most radical Muslims joining isis in India and that too ain't in North India so pls not divide India in North or south it is a bit immature

Nope. Only media coverage of these activities has increased since 2014 because they have an agenda, that of painting the current government in a bad light. And let us not forget that such incidents of violence are not one-sided, it is just the selective amnesia that media has that makes it seem like this violence is one-sided and only one religion is the perpetrator while the other is a victim. The truth is a lot more complicated than the 5-minute oversimplification that the media or comments like yours try to propagate. There are nuances in truth. And I am a firm believer that anybody who overlooks those nuances and tries to present a one-sided narrative is either knowingly or unknowingly a part of the problem. First step to a solution is to stop making blanket statements.
