The Family Dogg - A Way of Life

Музыка

A tuneful ditty from 1969 - from an old tape I made off UK TV when they were screening some 60s stuff.

i was 2 when this song came out but my family played it constantly and listening to it again after all these years makes me feel warm inside and makes the hairs on my arms prickle and brings a tear to my eye. Such a lovely song and a real family favourite along side the classics like keith wests grocer jack. Really reminds me of my mum. Thank you so much

Never knew about Albert Hammond's involvement! According to Uncut magazine, the musicians in the recording were a certain, J Page, JP Jones, J Bonham and E John! As far as "Daughters mating" is concerned, it seems to be meaning marrying and having children, as it appears between "schoolgirls dating" and "mothers waiting".

Yes, interesting lyrics, "feather duster your vintage crown" - well someone, somewhere must know what it means! They made a follow-up on Bell called 'Arizona' which I thought was an excellent song, but not many can have bought it as it didn't even make the top 50.

family dogg - i cant use i tunes not there yet, Some of the lyrics to a way of life is tinktailor soldier sailor rich or poor mans wife... which is a yardbirds song while page in band and happened to feature JPJ bass maybe also arr. so therefore they are on it.
