To me Nickelodeon has fallen the most, even if Disney channel/CN have. I think Nickelodeon started to fall when great shows around 2000/2008 ended like Danny Phantom, As told by Ginger, All grown up, ICarly, Zoey 101, Victorious and especially Avatar the last Airbender. After those shows were gone, the replacements were not as good. So the viewers could really feel the void of the past shows. Nick either done spin offs of the past shows which weren't treated well (The Legend of Korra and Sam and Cat were okay, but Nick didn't care enough for them), or lame live action shows.When this happens you knew Nick was going downhill.

yeah I really don't see that much of a problem with it. I mean, sure, it was kind of kiddish, but I can tolerate stuff meant for kids, so I'm fine with it.

How to save Nickelodeon 1. Limit the sitcoms to only 2 shows. 2. Make the cartoons to which people can relate to. Make the main characters down to earth kids. Hey Arnold was absolutely amazing and it was very down to Earth. 3. Make sure the Cartoons have Catchy intro music. 4. Make cartoons that have a mystery vive to it. 5. Replay the old shows more often. Such as Invader Zim, Hey Arnold, Rugrats, etc... To be fairly honest, I don't think kids don't really care about Cartoons like they did back in the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s. They are too busy with the internet and with Iphones.

The only cartoons I really watch are Dexter's Laboratory and Courage the Coweredly (At least I think that's how you spell it) dog. Which come on at late night boomerang. Of course I hate the 2016 reboot of the powerpuff girls.

Limeberri Fun Fact: Noggin *WAS* Nick Jr. Nick Jr was launched on February 2nd, 1999. But after a couple of short years, it was REBRANDED in 2003 to Noggin. Noggin was pretty much the same as Nick Jr, but it featured more acquired programming from other networks, and less original stuff. And on that fateful day, September 28th, 2009, Noggin *REVERTED BACK* to Nick Jr. Same thing with TeenNick. Started out as TEENick in 2004, then in 2006 became The N, then after the 2009 rebrand, it turned into TeenNick.

I think the problem with the sitcoms, especially those by Dan Schneider, is that they don't have heart anymore. If they try to have sincere moments, they're ruined by jokes or just feel hollow. Like remember when Josh said he was done with Drake and the emotion we got from that? The reason Drake and Josh worked is because you felt their bond and you knew they loved each other. Schneider seems to let the mean spirited jokes of this series overthrow that important aspect with each show that he does. The last one he did to really have genuine moments like this was iCarly, and this coming from a Victorious fan. Also, Nick had a show called 100 Things to Do Before High School which is almost identical to Ned's Declassified. However, I consider it better because of it's emphasis of the heart of the show and you actually see the families outside of school, which is something Ned's Declassified rarely did.

Nickelodeon will never learn. They ARE bringing back the cartoons like modern day spongebob and Loud House. BUT the sitcoms are dead though

Yeah, I agree with you. Most people tend to blame Nick's fall strictly on Spongebob and no other factors and how Nick wants to desperately make the next Spongebob-like success. That actually is PART of the reason Nick is falling, but another big reason is the over-reliance of live-action sitcoms, and it's mostly because they are far cheaper to make and require less effort to put into. Will Nickelodeon change and get better? Eventually it will, but it probably won't be any time soon, based on it's current patterns.

Was Harvey Beaks cancelled? That was a great Nick show. If it wasn't cancelled, then why does no one talk about it?

Nick at night and Nick Jr have fused with the main part. Nick Jr section is in the morning, regular Nickelodeon in the middle of the day, and Nick at Night at.....well night.

Could you please make a video on the Nickelodeon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? Just giving your opinion on the characters, the episodes, and the story arcs. Also the show does have a few mysteries like the whereabouts of April's mom, the warrior who cut off Tiger Claw's tail (which is going to make be clarified in an upcoming episode), etc. Also you could make some theories on the show and I have plenty of them.

4:57 For the love of god, people, if you would just watch Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles... It's no Avatar, hell, nowadays it's mostly hit-and-miss. But trust me, start from the beginning and you will *not* regret it. Its closest comparison is the original Teen Titans (which makes since seeing as how Ciro Neili is the main story director on this show).

Nick still has tow amazing shows for me teenage mutant ninja turtles and loud house.

Nick was never dying. Nick changes throughout the years because the audience's preferences change. Let's face it, most nick's viewers are little children ,not teens or young adults that want shows with nostalgia. Nickelodeon doesn't care about the quality of the show, but instead it cares about the attention it gets. Neither do the little children care if what they're watching something good. The only thing that makes them want to watch something again is because it's funny (allways generally speaking). So that is why Nickelodeon is not dying, but instead stops making good quality shows. Because Nickelodeon's high priority is getting more money, just like every other company in the world.

The best judges for this are the kids born in the somewhat early 2000's to early mid 2000's. The right age to have watched all those good cartoons and shows that came from the 90's or 2000's, and all that progressively worse stuff. Those kids watched the fall of Nick. Like me. By twelve, I gave up on Nick, and really just watched CN, because all of my shows were gone

I really loved Nick so much, but now, I head straight to Cartoon Network without a second thought. Nick is really going downhill, and I want them to think about their carelessness. So basically, I completely agree with you.

Avatar was the best cartoon they ever made. Nothing will ever top that show

Legend of Korra, Avatar, and Invader Zim wasn't mentioned? Also i'm not much of a fan of Live Action Drake and Josh and Ned was pretty damn good though.

Not with Avatar...but with the legend of Korra. Nick was 100 percent behind Avatar because it was so popular. With Korra after book 1 the show went downhill due to the writing, animation, and timeslot change. So Nick stopped caring/promoting the show. And it's sad because book 3 was just as amazing as book 1.

Who else loved the thundermans early episodes?

Nick was awesome in the 2000's and early 2010's, in 2010 it was awesome with icarly, btr, drake and josh, victorious, good spongebob, tuff puppy and other stuff, kids these days will never know how good nick was

I'm only into a few of Nick's current shows myself, but I think it's biggest issue that wasn't talked about in this video is that they give lousy treatment to shows that aren't instant successes. The Loud House got very lucky. Other shows like Harvey Beaks (which also wasn't talked about in this video and only had a couple pictures seen at the end) weren't instant successes and got lousy treatment. Maybe there's a reason Nick doesn't have more good shows. Maybe creators instead go to networks that will give their shows better treatment.

I honestly feel like nickelodeon is trying to copy Disney Channel. the sitcoms are so similar, I don't even know which chanel is which sometimes.

Harvey Beaks and Miraculous Ladybug exists, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles doesn't have to be groundbreaking to be good. Actually, it kinda is groundbreaking for the best CG animation I've seen on TV.

SpongeBob is pretty much the only thing I watch on Nick the loud house I watch sometimes but SpongeBob is my childhood

There are only 2 shows I can tolerate on nick now. 1. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2. Harvey beaks. (Side note: I also like the SpongeBob SquarePants reruns.) #TMNTrules

The Loud House is pretty good and my life as a teenage robot is pretty good. Even the cartoon network old shows, like fosters home, and all that. I absolutely love Ned's declassified. All the older shows is good, some new ones are okay.

I remember many of Nickelodeon's early 2010s cartoons, but I also remember the some of the late 2000s shows. I understand that many people do not like the 2010s shows.

I don't care about Nick anymore. The only four things that I like about it are Power Rangers. The upcoming Hidden Temple movie coming this Saturday. I'm not sure about Kids Choice Awards, has it gone downhill, too? And the Hey Arnold Jungle Movie that is coming next year.

One reason why I think the shows on nick are failing is because they're intending to make it for kids, instead of making good shows that kids can watch. I feel like making it intentional for kids takes out of creativity because none of the writers are kids. But a good way to make shows would make it funny for even adults, just leave out strong subject matter and language, so it can still be viewed by kids.

Man I wish there was more of a mention from Harvey Beaks. I actually enjoy it more than Loud House and wish it wasn't canceled to soon :(

I completely agree with your video, I used to spent hours watching nickelodeon it was literally the only channel I watched, and now it's the channel i avoid, wish they started launching good cartoons again...love your videos!

My favorite channels growing up in the 1990s and 2000s were Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, Disney Channel, Toon Disney, AMC, Turner Classic Movies, Fox Movie Channel, and Encore Westerns. All these channels except for TCM have been ruined.

I think it had something to do with the actual downfall that happened in 2005. That is why Nickelodeon is on a crisis. I fear it may lead to the company's civil war if it gets worse.

I actually enjoy the current TMNT show. It has a great combination of the comics and the original series without taking itself too seriously like the 2003 series did.

I remember a time when Nick was my go to channel. They should rerun their older shows.
