Dungeons could have sustained itself if it was given modding support and a world building mode like Halo's forge. Would have definitely seen people make some real amazing stuff.

I’m disappointed we never got any explanation for why the wither skeletons and the piglins hate each other. This would have been a great addition to the lore if we saw how their rivalry was started

Maybe the piglins took the skeletons as slaves and they started to change and broke free from their masters

While i didn't really enjoy the gameplay that much it's still sad to see it go. I was hoping they would do something with the ocean based on it's description in the game.

The fact that they worked on this for over a year is just crazy to me They should've just suck with MC dungeons. I miss dungeons 😢

Honestly this, I feel like you could’ve just taken all the cool bosses in Legends and made them the bosses for the nether DLC in Dungeons and it would’ve been perfect

Mojang be like: -Create a new Minecraft game -Release DLCs -Start releasing less and less content as time goes on -Announce to the fanbase that the game is being cancelled -Repeat

It makes me FURIOUS that they canceled this game so quickly. It had very little public beta testing, minimal marketing, a hefty price tag for how little base content there is, and little to no multiplayer communication. Its like they _wanted_ it to fail! Their "biggest update" was given a measly 1 minute trailer that didn't even have any cinematics. The Myths could have been PERFECT for community creators to make content for the game, but _no_ they didn't allow any of that. Minecraft thrives off of its community creators, Bedrock Marketplace has a ton of skins and maps (for better or for worse) that are made by the community. If they had simply used that to their advantage Legends could still be going on for years to come. Instead modders have to pick up the slack just to add their creative ideas to the game. They should have had tools to do that! But NO, they just screwed over the creative team that poured their heart and soul into this game, all because they weren't willing to do the most _basic marketing decisions._ Seriously, why are all big companies so _freaking stupid_ these days? Its not greed, its just plain stupidity. They have NO IDEA what they are doing.

@@fumarc4501 Takes place mostly in the nether, you fight off invading illagers and undead as you recruit the remnants of the now leaderless piglin tribes at the behest/control of the Seer.

I would love to see some of legends implemented into minecraft. I know there is a time gap between the games but seeing piglin factions could add needed variation in the nether strongholds.

In my opinion the worst thing in this game is that there litterally exist glitches that make save files unbeatable

Minecraft Dungeons is one of the only Minecraft Spin-Offs that got decent sucess. I am not surprised that Minecraft Legends & Dungeons died, but Legends died FAST. Legends: Speedruning 0 Players

I feel like this game should have been a beat them all, like Dinasty Warriors, Hyrule Warriors, etc. with the possibility to play as the Nether Factions or the Overworld Factions, each having for example a Legendary Creeper as a Heroic unit you can play along side the Hero. Same thing for the Nether Factions. This way, no waiting to destroy portals, you actively participate in the battles, capturing forts and keeping them under your control or recapturing them if the enemy overtook it.

I feel like dungeons handled the end game situiation pretty good, after you beat the game, you have 2(3 if you include apocalpypse +) harder gamemodes, plus, lots of gear to grind for. And don't forget about the DLCs.

They could have added more content after beating the great hog because the world becomes dead when you defeat it. And they could have made villagers have quests, battling the seer, an ender conquest, and a piglin campaign to revive the game but they gave up. Thanks mojang for another spin off with wasted potential.

I also agree. The only thing you can do in your world after beating the great hog is going to every outpost and base to purify all of the netherack there including the wells corruption and leave and delete the world

Plus you’re not even the hero. The ads depict you are the hero. A person that has a sword that can do barely any damage to structures, and only takes out the weakest enemy units efficiently doesn’t sound like a hero to me. the structures and mobs do all the work. Meanwhile In pikmin 4, the player does barely any damage, but he has items that can hinder, maim and kill enemies. Plus oatchi and spicy spray exists.

If I had to take one good thing from Legends, it would have to be the lore videos. I tried watching a playthrough, but found myself skipping to each cinematic cutscene instead. With MC Dungeons, I enjoy watching the gameplay and cutscenes. I don't have the game, but still want to play it.

Another proof that the Minecraft developers are just really lazy and incompetent with the Minecraft games. Wasted potentials such as abandoning Legends, never really listening to the fans on what to add to the base game to improve it, etc the list goes on Oh well, at least we had fun with the game while it lasted

Pretty sure that they die out because the lazy and incompetent Minecraft developers do not add great content to the two spin-off games to really improve them to be great standalone games. Instead they just release some DLCs or updates and then abandon it, which quickly kills the game

How about we don’t have other Minecraft spin offs

i have never played this game , but i found it really cool , a minecraft strategy game with you controling troops of mobs , sound s fun , after many videoes i just see it as a game where you can always come back and chill after some time , maybe a fix update would have halped alot, but maybe if minecraft community didn t show immediately hate for this game , maybe mojang would have fix it , but idk don t judge me
