For all I know, I might have played in the Fall at some point. So have 80,000 other people
even a 20min version of this would be too short, what a tune, superb, many thanks
I've always loved this song and I've always loved this video, but what I have always loved the most is the fact that the legendary Kid Congo Powers from The Gun Club and The Cramps is completely, randomly, inexplicably dancing around with the band like your drunken dad at a wedding.

And you can still listen to this pile of shit? You need to get out more. The Fall was not a band, it was a drinking club run by a dull bully, who could not sing, surrounded by sycophants who could not play cards let alone a musical instrument.
This was the song that finally got me into The Fall back in the day. Still one of my favourites of the band.
Haven't heard this in well over thirty years, and it just popped into my head, thanks KZread!

Personally, I started liking The Fall in the last decade, so I'm too new to be in the old crowd. I just love this song. I saw the Fall twice before Mark E Smith passed away. Both times, I was really impressed by the talent of the musicians. This song showcases how The Fall always had talented musicians. 🤷🏻♂
I just discovered this genius for the first time and I felt the same way I did when I first listened to The Smiths.

Clair Duffy Saw him at the last gig at the Hammersmith Palais, 2007. I managed to lean over and shake his hand. Very unusual for MES to be pressing the flesh with the audience? The encore, if you can call it that, was hilarious: MES and a couple of band members saunter back onto the stage. MES growls something into the mic along lines of 'Thanks for allowing us into your security area, we're going back to civilization'. MES leaves the building. Brilliant. A total one-off.
