Of course he will play them to get free or something at the end, but if they are going the Thunderbolts route, I can see why they would make him more of an antihero.

I loved the creepy, saccharine GRC commercial that then cuts to the GRC truck opening with a heavily armed force. It's sooo similar to how the US govt will have "peacekeeping missions" with guns.

I'm surprised Hector didn't see the Wolverine easter egg when Zemo and the gang were walking past the different bars. The camera panned up to show a bar called The Princess Bar which is the bar frequented a lot by Wolverine under his Patch persona.

Depends upon whether or not he can accept that this particular super soldier just wants to be left alone, and doesn't want any trouble/doesn't want to be an icon/etc (and of course, that he's been off the scene for decades already, so it's best for everyone that he stay that way) ^If he can, there's no reason to go after him imo.

Zemo stole the show for me. My favorite character through the whole season.

Sam idolizes Steve Rogers at first but later he gained newfound respect for Steve and knowing what Steve had done up to the end of Endgame, so much respect for the man. And they're friends! Sam is so honored to be Steve's friend but at the same time, he knows Steve does not ever put himself on a pedestal and Steve is not above anyone.

I don't think it's very fair to say that it is only Sam's show. Bucky has lived in the shadow of Captain America first and then Hydra, I think this show helps Bucky become his own person. This is as much Bucky's show as it is Sam's.

That Soundcloud-Klau theory gotta be there at the top together with whatever the heck Mephisto did in WandaVision :D

Something that Walker said last episode really bugged me. He said, in the interview with GMA, that Steve had guts (which is what he claimed he also had). But to me, that proved that he didn’t know CA. Cause it wasn’t that Steve had “guts” it was that Steve had heart. And in this episode, I think you can see even more the difference between Wyatt and Steve’s CA, the difference between guts and heart.

Madripoor is actually in East and Downtown Atlanta, right up the road from Avengers HQ, and Wakanda. Pretty easy trip.

From all the episode reactions I've watched, only Agustin guessed right the Wakanda bead. Nice one sir!

I agree. Everyone's focusing on easter eggs and cameos when the heart of the shows is always the character development for the main characters. This show will do the exact same thing to Sam and Bucky like WV did for Wanda and Vision.

I really loved hearing your thoughts about Sam and Isaiah Bradley and how Sam feels like the heart of the show. I would be shocked if we didn't get a scene where he and Isaiah sit down and have a serious talk about everything and I'm really looking forward to that. I think it's going to be a huge turning point for Sam. I'm kind of surprised you guys didn't say anything about Zemo's continuous goading of Bucky in this episode and attempt to force him back into the headspace he was in as the Winter Soldier. I didn't realize how dangerous Zemo could be to Bucky just on a psychological level but I think this episode did a great job of making Zemo just fun and helpful enough to mask some of his clear machinations with regards to Bucky specifically. I wonder if Zemo's endgame is to try to get Bucky to kill himself because he wants him to believe that he isn't capable of change or is Zemo actually going to try to take him out the way he clearly plans to take out the Flag Smashers?

Hector's SoundCloud theory would be next level product placement for Disney 😆

Sam's Captain America catchphrase should be "When do we start?"

While I'm sure the Wakandans would have *loved* to get custody of Zemo themselves they were probably at least pacified he was sentenced at all. It makes perfect sense they'd be watching him like a hawk in his incarceration - either to make sure he stayed there, or even itching for an excuse to take him to Wakanda (like if he escaped, for instance). And I hope they get him. He's been out a day and has shot an unarmed man in their own place of work in front of our protagonists. He's not a friend or misunderstood in any way: He's Baron Zemo. He's a stone cold murderer with an agenda.

To add to the point of "Captain America and the White Wolf", if Bucky is to move on I think that he'll ditch the name "Winter Soldier" because of everything attached to it. Taking up the name White Wolf will allow him to be proud of the title because of the good that comes from it and really wear it like hes a new man. With no one to utter the name "Winter Soldier" it will eventually pass from knowledge and people wouldn't be able to peg him as a bad dude on sight like the night club scene with Zemo, and Sam.

i think we already see the ending, the clip where Sam said "we make a good team" to bucky, where they use the shield together. I think that's the point where Sam accepted the Captain America mantel, but he is a team with Bucky. I love the idea of Isiah pushed Sam and Bucky to have peace by acknowledging He killed the man's son.

Zemo did a Roman Sionis and wore his mask for a whole 1 minute 😑 very underrated villain though. Great addition to the show!

I think another thing to nudge Sam towards being Captain America is how he handles the Flag Smashers. I think he's going to be the first person to show them compassion, and try to bridge the differences they have. Because that's what Captain America needs to be.

The fight scenes of this show looks more darker and serious, which gives like the best vibes of daredevil and John wick into one.

i've seen a few reactions to this episode, and there's one tiny moment that i think people didn't notice in the scene in the club. zemo offering up bucky with the implication "he'll do whatever you want" is...............yikes.

It's such an uncomfortable moment... Bucky's been a slave for decades and then Zemo offers to sell him again (like his only function is as a weapon for the highest bidder) 😬😡😢

The retconning of Zemo is amazing.

Loved the recap. My thoughts: 1. I dont know that any of these shows have to “tie up plot lines” since this is part of a much larger universe. Theoretically Marvel can just in perpetuity keep these storylines open to drop them in larger movies since many of these storylines intersect with these characters. 2. I agree that this is Sam’s show and I think the show ends with them in the museum that featured Cap and the Winter Soldier and it will have Isiaiah Bradley’s image put in the museum with his honor restored and his heroism recognized thanks to Sam. But I wonder if he’ll be able to do the same for Sara Carter which could lead to some interesting plot lines moving forward because from her getting in the car she seems to have found some real power in Madripur so maybe she doesnt want to come back to the states. 3. The plotline of Zemo ending up in a Wakandan prison could tie in to the series Ryan Coogler is developing for Marvel that centers around different characters in Wakanda. Having a bad guy like Zemo there would be pretty cool. 4. The interactions between Sam and Bucky continue to be great. Adding Zemo to their interactions were seamless. What do you think?
