It was only a question of time, Africa has great sprinters aswell as long-distance runners. Only cost, tradition and infrastructure is why there aren't more Africans in cycling rn.

Not at all. His bike handling, tactical awareness and road positioning are all lousy, and as a result he's very good at being in the thick of crashes and splits in the peloton.

We are getting to witness history being made, and this is just the start of what will undoubtedly be a legendary career. Roglic is one of the most unlucky cyclists in the history of the Tour... He struggles with something every year... and unfortunately, he's going to be older every next :( I think that he will not be competitive anymore... he lost his only chance to win in GC 4 years ago 😟😟

He can still get on the podium, but he keeps crashing so frequently. Something is wrong with his concentration. And people have been pointing this out for a long time.

Man I feel so bad for Primoz. Sometimes it's his bike handling that fails him, but so often it's just other riders. I guess if he was more diligent about being at the front, but man it just feels like the universe is against him.

Van Aert should have won this and the guy who blocked him and almost ran him into the barricades was relegated for this action. Despite this, Van Aert managed to come around from behind this block and still almost got the win. This puts an asterisk next to Bini's win and makes the term "dominance" an exageration. Van Aert was robbed and the relegation does not make restitution for this.

The commentary is perhaps more suited for people who already know well what's going on in the tour. I am a lifelong cyclist and have more than a passing interest but don't watch the race live. These recaps are kind of ... challenging to follow. Honestly they almost turn me off the TdF more than interest me. A bit more clarity in exactly what is happening would go a LONG way, it can be really choppy logically at times.
