After watching Tour de France for almost 40 years, it never ceases to amaze me how the peleton moves like a swarm of bees: contracting and expanding, riders weaving in and out, squeezing the formation in tight turns, braking and accelerating, yet still staying cohesively. It is truly a spectacle to watch each and every time, and I absolutely love. I do not think people even realize the difficulty of riding at lights out speeds in such formation. My respect to the riders!!

I haven't followed cycling that long, even didn't really know, for example, who Cavendish was, but the story that I've gotten from watching this Tour is we are seeing the exit of a great sprinter, and the emergence of the next great sprinter. And it'll be a trivia question one day that they were in the same race, even though obviously their arcs will largely come in different eras. Anyway, Bniam Girmay has certainly been inspiring.

I've just been a big fan of Bini. Very humble guy. Also, I watched this live and I thought he had no chance on this one. He had no lead out, he was out of position within 1.5km. But, if you go to 4:00, he sees a team mate. Takes his wheel as a lead out. At 4:09 he taps his team mate to give the go signal, team mates blasts off and Bini takes the dub. Funny that Intermarche is apparently the team with the smallest budget in TDF and Bini isnt even their main sprinter. Wonderful team.

Bini is truly untouchable in this Tour de France,

every year one of the sprinters has the hot hand--this year it's Girmay! Very well timed and executed sprint. Nobody else had a chance.

Biniam Girmay the African Rocket did it again! I love it! This is the most interesting Tour de France I ever watched, so interesting.

I thought he was a punchy hilly sprinter like Matthews, but now he's looking more well rounded. Has great instincts. Love the rabid Eritrean fans, too. Nice to see.

At 4:09, you can see Biniam tap his one remaining teammate on the back and tell him it's time for the lead-out. Cavendish tried to steal the wheel but Biniam didn't give it up.
