I had TB in 1981 when I was 7. I was treated for a year as an outpatient. She I worry about it coming back, or having lung problems as I age? Thanks

I just found out my father had tb back in 1958 and spent a year in the hospital, he is now 87 years old. I heard once you have tb you always have it. Should I be concerned for my family and myself?

No, it's only contagious when you're actually sick. Once you're treated and cured, you don't have the infection anymore. Back in 1958 it would have been treated with isoniazid, PAS, streptomycin, ethionamide and possibly clofazimine, which probably would have been an effective cure.

Not in my experience. Low grade head pain, Night sweats, drench the bed type followed by chills. 9 months of pills can fix it.

Please help. I live in Portugal and I have TB. When do you know its really bad? I wake up and I cant breathe. I am taking Rifinah, 2 tablets and 1 Piridoxina everyday. On rainy days or if the humidity in the air is significant. In Portugal in the winter, its quite humid. I have no family suport. I am a separated mother of 4. Cant do x rays or analises. There is no money. I already know I am going to die of TB. I just want to know when my time is close and be able to prepare myself for it. Thank you.

Dr. Huey TB is infrequent in the US ? 15 million cases each year in the US is infrequent ? Yes active TB patients can spread TB by someone else drinking from their cup ! Remember food is a vector ! You make TB sound like catching a common cold ! You should know better ! I find you video lacking quite a bit !
