I am 81 and have been into makeup my whole life since 13 years old. Loved all your tips they are great thanks.
I am 54 years old with hooded eyes. I tried these techniques yesterday before I went to work and I had four different people tell me what beautiful eyes I have. I have been watching makeup tutorials for a while but they have all been 30 year olds giving tips on makeup for mature skin. Thank you Dominique !! You are beautiful inside and out!

EXACTLY!!! I’m 42 & have mega deep-set eyes & all my life I’ve struggled! So thank you for advice for those of us that need makeup to feel good (me) vs. the gobs of tutorials of 18-23 yr old! When I was that age, I was like “why wear foundation?”....I was lucky. Now I need help from women like yourself. I literally need someone to teach me how to do a full face as if I were a 5 year old. No joke!

You are beautiful but to me nothing is prettier than natural look. I used to wear makeup whenever I just stepped out the door, two years ago I started microneedling, that little device changed my skin in a way that I am not wearing makeup any longer. I have tried almost everything to look younger, anything from face exercises, vitamin C serum, Fraxel, collagen supplements, retin A etc. However, nothing made any real difference compared to the high-quality derma pen I purchased for under 100 bucks. Within 3 months of use, my skin has improved DRAMATICALLY. I don't look like I'm in my 20s again, but definitely not 61 either. My fine lines have disappeared completely, and my nasolabial folds are way less prominent. People often underestimate the power of wounding and the revolutionary effects it can have on the skin.

+1 for kora beauticaIs. I've been doing microneedling since it started 12 or so years ago. Nobody believe I am 55. They all say I am in my 30's or early 40's. As you know, as we get old, our skin gets thinner therefore creating wrinkles. But the wounding kept my skin still thick and youthful. Your comment will help so many women to restore their skin..

This made me chuckle! We are all right there with you, sister! My only saving grace is I've been teleworking for 20 years, and don't have to wear makeup unless I'm going out (pre-2020 lol!).
Honestly, the people saying they like the “wrong side”, it’s not that it’s truly bad. It’s just not meant for older faces. That’s how I learned to do my makeup in my twenties and now that I’m 32 I realize I hated how I looked with makeup and have stopped wearing it. This video made me realize it’s because my face is slowly starting to age and I have to use different techniques. The right side may not look that bad but in comparison, the left looks more youthful and less crusty. I have been looking for tips to do makeup now that I’m getting older and I absolutely loved this video because I started to hate that I looked older with makeup. I’ve seen some of y’all with the right side makeup and I’m telling you, it doesn’t look as great as you think. I was laughing watching this video because I was thinking “omg that’s how I do mine!” (The wrong side) and it helped me understand my facial structure better. The only thing I didn’t like was that she put concealer right under her eye. I found another technique that works better. But it looked fine on her.

I've bought a lot of new makeup (foundations of all sorts, eye palettes, concealers, primers, quality brushes etc) and have my go to for a few looks e.g. light and no makeup makeup days, a little something but still fresh looking, a medium soft glam look for a dinner out or birthday BBQ/party with friends and a something special look for weddings and special glam nights out. So much fun. Only thing I'd do differently to Dominique is because I have blondish lashes, I do a very light coat of mascara on my bottom lashes with a mascara that is quite 'wet' so it coats ever so thinly. It's practice and at 32 and with the info out there on YT and the amount of different coverage looks you may be after, its a plethora of good stuff out there. Know your skin tone (pink, golden etc) and type (dry, oily etc). Do enjoy! And do splurge on yourself!

OMG, this is THE BEST full makeup tutorial with contouring I have found on the Internet, including TT, IG, YT. I am 42 and just purchasing my very first contour kit. I feel frigging GORGEOUS after following your video. TY!!!
Both Sides Look beautiful on You. But You are right. The right Side creates a Younger Look 😯... I am 47 now and I am thankful for your tutorials
so bizarre, but I like the "wrong side" perhaps because I am an 80's girl :-) I love your videos. All the best X
You are an artist and scientist, incredible!
This was so wonderful! I've sure been doing my makeup wrong for a lot of years! It's a trick to get the eyeliner on under the lash! I've been practicing to keep from poking myself in the eye! Never thought thought I would use false eyelashes, but you look so good wearing them... I bought the lashes from the link. I did my eyes and was immediately impressed with how my face was lifted. So much good stuff! I find myself looking at every woman's eyes who is on TV!
Never heard of you until now. Glad I found your channel, Ms. Dominique. I'm in my 30s and I admire beautiful women who are older than me. You ladies really inspire me and I always learn something awesome from you all. Thank you! 💛💛💛
Holy moly! This video is no joke. While I wasn't quite a "bad side", I wasn't quite a "correct side"...until now. I switched my eyeshadow placement, feathered up my brows, ditched the under-eye eyeliner for a light shadow in the lower lashes, and moved and angled my contour and blush up this morning. It's only 11am ET and two people on a morning zoom call asked me if I'd lost weight! I'm turning 50 in January and I feel like this 27-minute video just put me ahead of the curve. Thanks!

Fabulous. Keep them coming. I was so impressed with your mom's read of Atlas Shrugged, a fabulous book, I'm 76 and had a lazer peal, facelift and lifestyle lift. And now I can do it without help.

Loved this video. I used your techniques yesterday and today. I loved the look. I've been fighting those short eyebrows since forever. I'm soon to be 69 years old, I can use all the help I can get from your tips. Thanks so much!
Amazing technique. I'm almost 40 and I'm trying to begin putting on makeup according to my age, and this was the simplest and greatest tutorial I've found so far. I did all the "wrong" side make up, so my face looks VERY different right now. Amazing!!
"Oh my goodness, she's right!!" - That is what I just said to myself as I followed the way you told us to do our eye makeup. Just before I watched the video, I thought: "Here's another one of those mature look makeup tutorials"... because none of them were really anything different than what I already know, but yours is so amazing! It works. THANK YOU!
A lot of great info in this vid! Thanks a lot. One thing that helped me personally and pretty drastically was a little gadget I purchased from eBay. It lifts my face instantly, although it last for about 2-3 days it's definitely worth it, it didn't make me 20's again but at least made my nasolabial folds much less prominent.

So very refreshing watching this channel. A woman who is not secretive about all she has learned about beauty and fashion and instead willing to help other women with her expert information. Just me alone she has helped so very much in so many areas of beauty. The good she is doing is immeasurable and I hope the good comes back right at her because she is truly one of a kind. Amazing lady and I wish for more of her but doubt there are many women out there with such confidence. God ble4ss you and thank you Dominique for all your inspiration and knowledge.
I am so happy I found you today! I am 48 and I have been following very young MUA (teens and 20s) since the advent of KZread and my makeup looks almost identical to the "bad" side. I couldn't figure out why what looked great on me 15 years ago, now looks not so pretty. This is life changing. SUBSCRIBED!
I never would have thought to put the darker color on my lid until you have shown the contrast. Thank you!
26:00 "The power of makeup - it is profound." Boy howdy! in the flow of my life, I don't "need" much makeup - mascara, a bit of brow. No longer need lipstick or blush when the mask takes both off. But this tutorial shows me the ART - I will play with these things for FUN. See what I can surprise myself with. THANK YOU
I have thoroughly enjoyed every detail you have covered in this. I am 47 and am so excited to practice these tricks! Thank you so very much❤

Amazing tutorial! Loved being able to see both the right & wrong way of applying makeup at the same time! Thank you!
I worked for the biggest French cosmetics companies including Lancome since the late 1980s and have learned many sophisticated techniques. The high blush above the contour and avoidance of intense light eyeshadow on the lids are two mainstays for me. But you have taught me something with the eyeliner and shadow and lessening the brow "tip". I also love that you didn't do the outrageous contouring featured in many tutorials today. Great job!
This. Changed. Everything. I have heavy down turned eyes and was never able to make eyeshadow look good. I wish I had seen this 20 years ago!

This is the BEST makeup tutorial ever
As others have said, I'm 53 and the pandemic broke my makeup habits. I went from fear of leaving the house without makeup, to now barely using any makeup because the result makes me look older. Now I see why! I'm grateful KZread showed you in my feed, and thank you for the revelations here. I love to paint. I now see how I can think of my face as a paintable surface where I can lead people's eyes where I want them to go.

I appreciate how you took your time to place the makeup well on both sides. Too often, with comparisons like this, the "bad side" is slopped on so it's hard to truly appreciate the "good side". Thank you. Great tips!

As I watched Dominique, I thought the same thing !!
I honestly cried by how happy I am to have found a very simple, step by step on how to properly do my eye makeup (the rest is just a nice bonus). My whole life I have been doing my eye makeup exactly like your not as great side and it's been frustrating me even more every single day. I am in the early 30s and due to a little weight gain and genetics, my eyebrows/eyelids seem to have puffed up and drooped so much more that I basically don't have an outer corner. The recreating the spot for my outer corner is life changing. Thank you so much for posting these. I can't tell you how much they help even us younger ladies
The best tutorial I have watched.
