Very interesting perspective! I'm trying to be more real with my own vlogs, but at the same time, it takes a lot more work to make something that people are interested in watching when it's not those crazy storylines and stunts that Dobrik and Neistat are famous for. You have to give up a large viewership and a large portion of your salary typically if you make more "real" videos. Humans don't really want to see that (on average). That's why "reality TV" is the way it is as well.

the sad reality is old KZread is dead - it rewards very specific types of creators and where money goes, attention flows. You lived through the best of it and now it's gone. With mandatory ads before & during every video, KZread has become the corporate AD machine TV wishes it always was.
