Let me guess - you wrote this comment before you watched the whole vid? Exactly because of the game being held behind closed doors, donation campaign was launched to help the Marines. If fans were allowed to come, there'd be no donation campaign and no donat money. So the Marines will get that money regardless of the fans.

I know this wasn’t the case when the video was published, but Marine have now sold over 23,000 virtual tickets at £10 each. Almost a quarter of a million pounds through ticket sales alone

This story is so heartwarming. I hope Marine enjoy themselves in the moment, and put up a good fight.

The room that served as Spurs changing room in normal times, hosts weight watchers, our quiz, weddings ( my neighbours), christenings and anniversaries. Extremely grateful to Spurs fans and the team for the gracious way they treated the game.

Well imagine the scenes if Marine wins. Athletico Madrid lost to a 3rd division Spanish side last week so you never know what might happen. We all love an underdog

I live about 10 minutes away from the ground. Massive respect to Spurs for helping out the club in one of the most deprived areas of the country!

Marine are my number 2 side. They are a great little club and Spurs fans can be proud of themselves. I think everyone who supports a Premier League team should adopt a local non league side as their #2. I notice The Athletic isnt stumping up with any money, though....

Proud of my club for all the support they have given to Marine

Some of you may have noticed, but Marine have door numbers hung on their outer fencing, so they know who to knock on to retrieve wayward balls! I know this isn't quite the case, but imagine hearing a knock at the door and opening it to Harry Kane asking for the ball back....the quirky magic of the FA Cup truly knows no bounds. Such a shame that several Prem teams openly disrespect it nowadays. It's a sore sight for older fans such as myself who were brought up on it, the final at Wembley used to be by far the biggest fixture in english football. Support your local, support non-league.

Europa League has some pretty shoddy sides from the likes of Gibraltar whom are part time players. Also Birmingham in Championship qualified from group stages in Europa so there have been mismatches

Also Enfield Town when they were drawn at home against Barnsley in the FA Cup years ago...their ground was too small and ill-equipped for such a game so it was played up the road at White Hart Lane and about 30,000 Spurs Fans turned up to support Enfield. Bit of a shock for the ~200 Barnsley fans who'd made the trip down to London 🤣

Apparently PE Teachers are doing a good job in managing football clubs, another one is on the way to bring his club to top of the EPL table.

Stuff like this just makes me love football even more. Thanks

As someone who lives local, my mum grew up in crosby, nice to see such a small club I’ve knew about for so long get into the third round but not only that but to see them get one of the big 6 premier league clubs. Fingers crossed for a massive giant slaying tomorrow, it would be amazing, shame there are no fans but hopefully the club can grow from this cup run in the future.

Ah.. when I used to play Championship manager 2007, during pre season, I always used to play friendly matches with Marine, Met Police and my teams used to steam roll through them and my players used to get morale boost and some become match fit.

This is a great video - I’d love to see more non-league stuff in the future. I think the style of animation is possibly more conducive to videos like this than tactical analysis.

I remember this match, and like most fans in the states, had no idea who Marine FC was. I google Earth'd thier stadium. OMG it was like watching a small high school game here.
