In 1985 The Exploited came to No. California and I hung out with them in San Francisco at their On,Broadway show and took acid with big John. The next week we all carpooled up to Sacramento for their show up there. After the show, I took Wattie and the band to my house where the party's always were. I rode all over downtown Sacto on my Honda Intercepter motorcycle with Wattie on the back! In 1985, he was just like he is in this interview-still can't understand half what he says! :-) Fuck I love this guy! Glad he's still alive and PUNK AS FUCK! Great interview.

I've only just found this channel and the amount of band's being interviewed that I've seen late 70s early 80s is amazing, I had forgot how long ago it was, I can remember Watty having a fight with a bouncer at the Gala club in Norwich 1982 .
This is so cool getting to interview Wattie I don't know how you manage to get interview all these great bands but well done. I'm Scottish too. I saw you at Rebellion this year you were in the Empress Ballroom filming on the balcony. I was on the opposite side doing the same thing. I only started filming for the past couple of years so I'm still learning how to handle the camera in the right way for shows like this.

Great interview Erin. Living legend and a fellow Scot.

Great interview! Wattie is a TRUE legend, and he seems pretty cool to boot....I loved how he just couldn't let his hatred for nazis go! It's cool he's still passionate about his beliefs
Much respect for Wattie for owning spga, and especially a small one as if it's a fur baby. A lot of great stories with this guy. I had no idea he had 5 heart attacks. I'm sure he chose to lay off the partying. Thanks for doing the interview with Wattie. Great outfit you got on as always.

Wish I was there but, I was introduced “Death Before Dishonor”, “Let’s Start A War Said Maggie One Day…” & my favorite “Horror Epics”. I heard wild stories of The Exploited in Cincinnati somewhere 1987-88 I think… Skins and the Punk’s were at war but, later came to terms… one story I can little detail you is Wattie ended up going out that night after the bogarts show with an old friend I know that ended up shooting up that H garbage and getting their ass beating including with a 2x4 wood in the basement of someone’s house… went to the hospital and……. it was gnarly and Wattie came out like never happened… it’s a legend but, one thing is Wattie carried himself well and never bragged one bit of his past too much… little stories he’ll share but, not all the darkest and f’d up ones! Wattie and the Exploited are definitely better than any heavy metal ban from past to future cause none of them lived as dark as his life has been. What a legend. As a former skinhead I’m glad I found this band as a young teenager I have huge love for our old Punk’d and skins of the past but, the youth has a lot of learning, research and educating themselves and can learn alot from us. The best quote I’ve ever heard from a punk “Bath in Old’E English Malt Liquor & you’ll stay Young forever…” whelp… what do you know… 47 and still looking young but, a little speckles of grey.
I appreciate what you do Erin! If you stopped, who tf would be interviewing all my favorite musicians? Nobody that’s who.
I'm going to see Wattie at Butlin's Alternative festival at Skeggy this year! Long live punk rock!!! 🤘🤘🤘
Wattie actually seems a bit more chilled for him than normal haha. Will always love the Exploited, first band I ever really got into, hope that they can put out another album.

Believe me it sadly is. No police man cares about punks because they don't know what it is. Back in the 90s if you wore an exploited shirt or a jran jacket with a single band pach they would close you in and burn the clothes. Everyone forgot about this music and the only way to find out about it is if you find someone in your school who listens to it or if a friend told you about it. So yea, it is dead...

Ok "punks" can you explain me why you can judge if someone is punk? That's not really punk, you know? You comment on her hair, clothes and other things... I mean, why? She's clearly not acting because it's obvious that she loves what she does and this is the main thing. Go to judge yourself instead, for such bad comments - and that's more punk.

I saw The Exploited, here in Atlanta, around 1990 or '91. Before the show, I went upstairs to use the bathroom, and Wattie was shooting pool. I came back down, and told my friend, Gypsy, and she went up, then came back down and said, "We just got invited to the after party". After the show, we all headed to the Yacht Club, and were greeted by five Atlanta PD who put us all against the wall. I looked over at Wattie, who was quiet and looked bored, like he'd been through it a thousand times. They let us go, and we went into the bar- Sure wish I had a pic of all of us against the wall, lol.
