I commend him. He speaks the truth. Not debating on whether or not it is a sin to actually have gay sex but to say that to have the attraction is not a sin and that the church needs to have more open dialogue about 1)how to deal with the attraction or 2) that maybe there are things to reconsider about how the church interacts with a gay couple/maybe our view on how things are written with context in the bible doesn't mean the same as how the church currently feels. I considered leaving the church tbh. But I refuse to let people tell me I can't love Jesus because I have this imperfect part of me.

I wonder if the men in the bible committing homosexual acts were even homosexual or participating in those sexual acts for other reason: power, worshiping idols, or just pure lustful? Hmm most of those men may have had wives. Just a thought! All verses in the Bible purely speak about the sexual aspect of this which makes it more difficult for folks who are actually gay because to them its not just about sex if they have fallen in love with someone 🤔

I think the real answer is homosexuals aren't real and its only straights and bisexuals. That's what the Bible was referring to. A common argument is that animals can be homosexual but that actually isn't true, they can participate in homosexual acts but they will still do heterosexual acts.

If homosexuality is natural and can not be changed, the bible is not true. Is homosexuality biological? If so then Is the bible inaccurate? At this point I believe we have to say live and let live and ignore the word of God. OR because we can not repent from homosexuality, Jesus died for our sins and we are allowed to walk in our sins (homosexuality) because there is no way to repent from homosexuality and the blood of Christ covers our sin filled walk (license to sin), is this possible? Which must mean that we are misreading the bible . OR, another scenario - pick up our cross - we as homosexuals are called to not act on our sexual inclinations, live celibate - "pick up our cross and follow Christ". Be this as it may, I have been living celibate for five years and its getting better, I am comforted being filled by Christ. Know this; We are all living in a war zone until we leave this earth. Is it possible that we just do not understand the complexity of psychology, believing / hoping that homosexuality must be biological? For now, Every day is a battle, pick up your cross and follow Christ. This life is a vapor, ignoring our fleshly desires here and now is worth eternity. Obedience is faith

That’s a pretty ridiculous false binary you started with. If there’s nothing wrong with homosexuality, the Bible can’t be true? Maybe give some kind of argument instead of claim to have all the answers. The point of the Bible is to reveal Jesus to all people, let’s not make an idol out of sex, celibacy (described by the Bible as a calling/vocation, not something to be coerced into), or marriage.

HERE SOME SCIENTIFIC FACTS ABOUT HOMOSEXUALITY: + The WHO, World Health Organization, stated clearly, that homosexuality not a disease or disorder, but a healthy natural sexual orientation. + It is most likely innate (determined by SNP in several genes and by antibodies (NLGN4Y) during pregnancy), as the opposite sex is never sexual attractive to people born homosexual. + Evolution scientists stated in several publications, that homosexuality exists since sexuality exists, since 385 million years. + They also stated, that having homosexual members in the own tribe, gives several evolutionary advantages, which explains the permanent share of 4-10% homosexuals of the population. >> So, the question would be rather: why putting an ethical limit on homosexuality if its natural, healthy and even with a natural sense? >> Especially now as more and more homosexuals marry and adopt and raise kids that else wise would have no parents.

@@nordscan9043that is absolutely verifiably false. The people who love to compare everything to Rome clearly don’t know anything about the culture. The Romans would not have permitted the kind of relationship Justin is claiming is moral. The Romans only accepted very specific kinds of male-male relationships- anything lifelong, self-giving, committed, or loving was not permitted. Marriage between two men was completely unheard of. It was temporary sex in exchange for status, money, or mentorship with an adolescent only. We aren’t in the 1970s where one could say that we just don’t know enough about Rome to say for sure, but the historical resources are so abundant nowadays there’s really no excuse to even believe that
