it kinda makes sense: slugs have this .300blk syndrome where they're level for 25-30yrds, the they just drop like a rock. and with an obrez (irl, at least) the tip of the round is literally sticking out of the muzzle. there isnt enough velocity to send the round downrange more than 100-160yrds. t. Nugget feeder

It's worth noting that the Sniper Chad can evolve from SMG Users as well, often the Spray and Pray SMG user, due to them finding a lack of effective firepower beyond medium range. These are a far more aggressive Sniper, more willing to push with their SMG than those that started with the VPO Snipling.

Can we just pause and appreciate the two hipfire hits the VPO user got? That was slick, even if he did lose the fight.

As a strange chad-gremling hybrid, I would argue that the VPO is actually one of the strongest bolts at close range. The reason is simple: 366 AP oneshots a thorax through class 3 or lower armor. Early to mid wipe its absolutely killer, and later on its barely worse than any other sniper unless they run an altyn - since if you don't one shot someone late wipe, you're not getting a second shot

366 AP cannot one-shot perfect durability tier 4 armor. When rounds penetrate armor damage is reduced by a percentage. That reduction prevents it from one-shot, as a user of said round it is good but please stop spreading misinformation for new players. This game is fun and rare and already hard enough for new players as it is.

@AirsoftersAnonymous damn son you’re doin it right I only have 2 shooter borns around 140m and both done with ARs lol I barely touch the snipers in raid but I do enjoy practicing long range shots offline just to get a feel for them on the off chance I might pick one up in raid but if I am sniping I feel like alone is the way to go you can do as you please and nobody else can give ur position away if I’m playing as a duo or squad I’ll usually recommend someone else to snipe while I run something more CQB but this next wipe I wanna snipe now lol that’s gotta be so irritating not gettin the tags tho but I guess that’s a draw back to killing someone from a safer distance haha

@AirsoftersAnonymous that’s a hell of a reserve raid I haven’t tried sniping on reserve yet since it’s the last map I’m learning besides labs but at this point I’m more familiar with labs but after using my scav more on reserve exclusively I’m feeling a lot more confident about it. The vudu is the goat I use it on damn near everything that takes it and the times I did pull off successful snipes were guaranteed good timing and placement and more importantly being mad patient I remember watching a guy loot all of the little scav island on shoreline for about 10 mins before I saw him finally hit the stash and stand still for a moment for me to finally take my shot and I already knew the bullet drop from hitting scavs before he showed up so I at least came to understand that with Tarkov I just need to play much slower and take more time to observe the land and where players often frequent and like to go for snipes themselves to try and counter their spots from different locations. I’m definitely stickin with the snipers more next wipe that reserve story has me sold I would love to drop some juiced up chads there’s something about dropping someone geared who didn’t have a chance to fight even when they brought in the most expensive meta gear available it speaks volumes in such a high stakes game like Tarkov hence why I fear dank snipers and going to woods xD

@@ShynolaDaStumpt When sniping in a group you pretty much watch over the squad, and give them information like escape routes, and scout the area, and cover fire while watching for snipers and squads. It takes a team that you play with often. I have more fun playing in a team since you get more action and responsibilitys

Same, my friend had me just get right into the SV-98 when I first started playing and I still prefer them over any other bolt action. The gun's relatively cheap, you can find packs of SNB everywhere and if not its also cheap, not to mention it'll 1 tap anything through the head.

love the series, but ap rounds don't just pen 'basic armours' that shit wrecks peoples days.

@@Zakhev342 Maybe some day if Nikita tries to kill of the the long barrel suppressed SA-58 meta. I'm pretty sure more ergo changes will come but as of now a 5-7 with with SS190 isn't going to serve you as well as some hip fired big bullets. I think the use case I more suited for when you sneak up on someone close range and want to take a quiet shot with out alerting the whole map to where you are.

I don't think this evolution line checks out. the adaptation of the suppressor happens at stage 0! The vpo-215 has a really cheap muzzlebreak that also classifies as an suppressor. and is seen quite often.

You forgot the cross breed of assault weapon and sniper weapon offspring called the VSS specialist. They 1 tap players in the head at even the longest ranges. Utilizing their high rate of fire at close ranges.
