Michael Joseph Jackson was born on August 29, 1958 and was an American singer, songwriter, and dancer. Dubbed the "King of Pop" he was one of the most popular entertainers in the world, and was the best-selling music artist at the time of his death.Jackson's contributions to music, dance, and fashion along with his publicized personal life made him a global figure in popular culture for over four decades.
The eighth child of the Jackson family, Michael made his professional debut in 1964 with his elder brothers Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, and Marlon as a member of the Jackson 5. He began his solo career in 1971 while at Motown Records. In the early 1980s, Jackson became a dominant figure in popular music. His music videos, including those of "Beat It", "Billie Jean", and "Thriller" from his 1982 album Thriller album which is the best selling album of all time it is credited for breaking racial barriers and transforming music forever. The videos all have close to 700 million views on KZread and if KZread was a thing in the 80s these videos would probably have billions of views. The popularity of these videos helped bring the television channel MTV to fame. Jackson's 1987 album Bad spawned the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 number-one singles "I Just Can't Stop Loving You", "Bad", "The Way You Make Me Feel", "Man in the Mirror", and "Dirty Diana", becoming the first album to have five number-one singles in the nation. His "Bad Tour" became one of the most successful tours in History. He continued to innovate with videos such as "Remember The Time" and "Scream" throughout the 1990s and in 1991 he released the "Dangerous" album which had hits like "Black or White" and "Heal The World". He forged a reputation as a touring solo artist with world tour's such as the "The Dangerous Tour" and "The HIStory Tour". Michael Jackson's “You Are Not Alone” was the second single released from the album HIStory: Past, Present and Future, Book I, and became the first single to ever debut at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, topping the chart on this date in 1995. His 1995 song "They Don't Care About Us" has almost 700 million views on KZread and was a massive hit in Europe. Through stage and video performances, Jackson popularized a number of complicated dance techniques, such as the robot and the moonwalk, to which he gave the name. Michael's 1997 "Blood On The Dance Floor" remix album is the best selling remix album of all time. In 2001 Michael's last studio album "Invincible" was released and had hits like "You Rock My World" and "Butterflies". His distinctive sound and style has influenced numerous artists of various music genres. Michael died June 25, 2009 at age 50 from a cardiac arrest while preparing for his comeback tour This Is It which would have started in July of 2009 and would have ended in March of 2010. He would have turned 51 years old in only about two months.

He is the blessed one who made the whole world know about the pains and effects of vitiligo. And his dance moves are unbelievably smooth. So many people imitate those moves but you'll still know when he does it. His songs are incredibly powerful.

He let the whole world knew what childabuse really means! As a little child he was abused, beaten up and used by his own father to perform!! That changed his live AND lyrics forever. He loved children and would never ever hurt or abuse them!! Thats more important then his vitiligo. He never sung about that ;-) Sorry for my bad English.

I see it as the things THAT changed were only his nose and chin- which he admitted to in his book and also in interviews that he had a chin dimple. If you look at his pictures prior to nose surgery, you can see that his facial features, such as his cheekbones and the v like shape that appears on his chin when he smiles was always like that. Not to mention his lips. It's just that he aged and lost a lot of weight nearing the end of his life that his cheekbones became more defined. Not to mention vitiligo and lupus gave the illusion that he changed drastically...

When I started studying the life of Michael Jackson, I was not yet a fan of his at that time. And only after learning about his bright, but full of suffering and trials since life, I became his fan. Of course, also thanks to unique songs that can penetrate the farthest corners of my soul. I agree with those who say that the whole world should ask Michael for forgiveness. He was the kindest, most humble, most caring and loving person in the world. I believe that he has now found peace and freedom that he did not see during his lifetime. He changed the lives and hearts of many people for the better. With his inner fortitude and courage, he really motivates me not to give up under any circumstances and to move forward towards my goal

He was drop dead gorgeous at age 21...poor guy..never had a child hood.. from 5 yrs old all he knew was rehearsals.. perform.. travel .. hotels.. practice dance for nxt performance...he was a genius in his art..but totally not ready for life off the stage..he could not go anywhere without body guards...its no wonder he succumbed to changing his looks and moved to drugs when anxiety and sleep problems took over...such a sad ending to an incredible talented man...one of the most incredible smiles in the entire entertainment industry
Even if I don't care about his looks, he was always a good looking man. Like honestly, he was kinda 30 and he was looking so good, he always looked like a 25 year old. And in the early 80's, just look at his PERFECT not changed face. He was always beautiful, and I think he should've know that. His nose isnt strange like some people say, and though his face changed a lot, people who were MJ fans, never changed their mind about him. We always loved him. Like he loved music, he made great music and his singing and dancing skills were fantastic. I only can hope it was a fake death, if not, RIP King of pop. His music was never pop or something, it was lovely❤

He looked best in his early 30's. But then I think most people do. If only he had stopped with the plastics then. Such a talented boy, youngster, and man, and then a father. RIP Michael, you deserve peace.

He should have stopped getting surgeries after his first one. And even then, he apparently only got his first surgery because he broke his nose.

@@HoobriBoobri Because he DIDN'T try to become white all his life. The reason he became white is because of a skin disorder called vitiligo which causes patches of skin to lose their pigment or colour. He used dark coloured makeup to cover up the light patches until the vitiligo had spread to more than 50% of his body. Then he used light coloured makeup to cover up the dark patches. He then received treatment to further remove the remaining dark patches of skin from his body so he wouldn't have to cover up so many dark patches of skin that were left. He never lost all of the dark patches of skin on his body. The reason he appeared to be all white was because of the makeup that was used to cover up the dark patches of skin that were left. Michael Jackson was proud to be a black man. If he had a choice in the matter, he never would have gotten vitiligo, and therefore would never have been forced into using dark coloured makeup and later light coloured makeup to even out his skin tone.

@@c.syde65 thanks for polite answer, but i answer not offensive to you: I clearly see, like Michael Jackson, who was proud to be a black man, all his life tried to make his nose and other facial features similar to those of a white man. This fact alone makes this whole story about vetiligo untenable. By the way, I have never heard of such progress of this disease and its course. However, this does not matter, given the deliberate white change in the anatomy of his face. Sorry, but it's obvious. And it seems to me that white and black people love him so much that they agreed not to notice the obvious, so as not to argue and conflict. A very strange situation.

i've loved Michael since I saw him perform 'I Want You Back' on the Ed Sullivan Show when I was a senior in high school. Later when I had my daughters they grew up loving him.

i was born 1973 and i grew up listening to MJ and i miss him so much.
I don't care WHAT he looks like, what i love about Michael Jackson is his talent, mind, personality and heart; people worried about the wrong stuff who care what his nose looks like, i dont. I rock with the brothers music and vibes. Theres no denying Michael had confidence issues, but that aint his fault. Looks don't matter AT ALL. And even if they did, Michael was born a beautiful person and left this world a beautiful person. All eras of michael jackson are beautiful in their own ways.

It’s not like he even looked bad, even in his final years. It was just a bodily evolution he concretely-necessitated in reaction to his illness and personal aesthetic values. Coon or coconut Oreo (not that such a thing really even exists, because human personality is that diverse) the poor man was not. I wish people would stop saying that and post-humous-ly bullying him, like he didn’t suffer enough in his life.
His talent for singing and dancing never changed

@3:45 is how I will always remember him. MJ is who made me fall in love with music. I was born in 1983 and grew up listening to him... I still have all his albums. The only celebrity I actually cried over their passing without ever knowing them personally. But I felt like I did. Miss you MJ! ☹️
