As Japan's ODA (Official Development Assistance) implementing agency, JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) has been providing various cooperation to developing countries, and has a long history of cooperation especially in the field of agriculture, including human resource development. JICA believes that Japan's experience can be used as a reference for agricultural development in developing countries, therefore JICA made 5 short videos which titled 1. History of Japanese Agriculture, 2. Development of Rice Farming, 3. Agricultural Extension and Support, 4. Land Improvement and 5. Nutrition Improvement, in order to systematically introduce “The Evolution of Agricultural Development in Japan". This video is one of them,“1. Japanese agricultural history”. We have also made and released Japanese and French versions, so it would be greatly appreciated that they can be widely used as a tool for human resources development in agriculture and that many people who are interested in Japanese agriculture can watch this video.
