THE EVOLUTION OF AFRO ROCK BAND, OSIBISA
As the World Health Organisation and the United Nations Foundation adopt the iconic UK chart hit Sunshine Day by the godfathers of Afro Rock Osibisa as the anthem of Summer Will Come, a charity initiative that's raising funds for the Covid 19 Solidarity Response Fund, Charles Aniagolu speaks to two members of Osibisa, Gregg Brown and Angie Anderson, about the WHO initiative and about how the band has evolved forty five years since they first recorded Sunshine Day.

I am a follower of Osibisa from the early 70's,at that time i was in love with the album cover, there were elefants with wings flying,it was just differant ,after listening to the first song,i knew they would of been large in the music world,Sparticus from Grenada,Robert Bailey from Trinadad 35:10 and Wendell Richardson from Antigua in the Caribbean who teamed up with our African brothers and formed this am😊azing band,i still listen to them, right now.💚💛❤️🙏
Good Afro Rock Music. The Gud old days. Super Grupo
one and only osibisa
My uncle was playing this song every weekend
Fantastic Angie. Seeing you play percussion in Osibisa a few months ago as shown, was excellent. You were awesome and so was the band and its music.....looking forward to hearing more if Osibisa ❤😁👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Great band
They performed in kolkata city of India.. What a hit show was it.. May be around 1979
The Osibisa concept is completely high jacked. This new line up is nothing close to Osibisa. Mac Tontoh and Kiki Gyan will be crying in their graves!!
