    I don't know why, but I remember as a kid that the plain Lay's were always used as a side to something, like barbecue or sandwiches, and it was the WAVY Lay's with the ridges that always got served at a family gettogether or a party paired with some sort of dip, usually a french onion. Anyone else had that experience or am I just an outlier? xD

    I can’t relate but my household is usually a healthier house compared to the average American family. Only had chips on get togethers and it was usually Doritos lol.

    Fun fact: Brazil doesn't have the crunchy cheetos, they only have the puffs. whenever my partner's family from Brazil comes to the US, they eat crunchy cheetos at every possible opportunity. i was overexposed at after-school programs as a kid, so i don't like them but they're enamored with them

    Not chips per se, but Chester's Hot Fries really do it for me when I'm craving a spicy snack. I tend to eat the entire bag in one sitting once I open it. Also, how could you forget Tim's Jalapeno chips? The best flavor of Tim's by far.

    @@mel.0dy Pringles _taste_ amusing sure, but the fact that they're made from powdered potato flour gives them a fairly unappealing texture after a couple of seconds in your mouth, and even the taste starts to lose its appeal after about half a dozen.

    @@maybemadelyn Yes, Ian is gay. It’s interesting how few of his subscribers know and it’s a testament to how entertaining his content is. Ian’s videos are so full of personality and passion so much so that not many people care to know much about his personal life as they are enamored more so by his character. In short, I have never felt inclined to know more about his personal life because it seems irrelevant as his videos are already so candid and such a good representation of his person.

    Ian, I definitely think you should look into the “Miss Vickies Jalapeño” chips. They are salty with a nice crunch, and a little bit of a kick. These chips satisfy my taste buds every time I get them.

    Whenever most content creators try to branch out it feels forced and ends up pushing their audience away. When Ian branches out, it's always delightful. I'm also curious how you feel about the flamin' hot variant of cheetos. They've been a favorite of mine since I was around 13.

    Its cause this has always been kind of a variety channel. Ian just makes videos on whatever he wants and people follow cause he makes them just weird enough to be interesting, but not so weird as to alienate people. he found the right balance

    Fritos classic had to be an A- it’s very good and the corn flavor is really nice and tastes like a very good bagged up tortilla. A+ for my experience and A- for being kinda overwhelming.

    As a chip enthusiast I appreciate and support this series, my personal fave are the Lays Poppables white Cheddar both crunch and a nice flavor, followed by the Cheetos Crunchy Sweet Chili Heat

    I was only able to find All Dressed chips in the Northeast US for a short period of time a few years back, and they were SO GOOD. The GOAT. I wish more people in the US would try them so they started selling them down here. We def have Ketchup chips and Dill Pickle chips here.

    Also, Ian, you can buy snacks peer-to-peer internationally with Shop-and-Box. The shipping can be a little pricey, but nothing is more fun than when you can ask someone to buy stuff for you from their local stores and you get to try foods from other countries. I can vouch as I have done this before. I got cool candies from Japan!

    I'm a Christian so I would say a religiously charged chip would taste like a kettle chip but laced with honey. Perhaps light and with a slight taste of cardboard like Jesus's body/wafer but also with a slight taste of a kettle chip and honey. ...I like kettle chips. I don't follow politics so I don't know about that taste.

    I highly recommend Martin's brand chips. There's a ruffle style dipping chip, a cooked style chip, a BBQ one, and a sour cream and onion one. They are primarily based in the northeast apparently but they've made their way down to Northern Virginia somehow.

    Paqui's chips (specifically the ghost pepper flavor) are the ONLY chips I've ever had that are actually spicy. I'm not talking "hot cheetos", "cheddar jalapeno" spicy, I'm talking SPICY. They're so good and so addicting, and you should sample them in your next video if possible!! Side note, Paqui is the brand that does the one-chip challenge!!

    I really want more kettle chips on the list. Hell maybe even a dedicated segment of kettle chips alone since they're really a genre of chips unto themselves. Cape Cod and Kettle Brand are the two that instantly come to mind, but Lays and others also have good footholds in the kettle chip market.
