The first part I can actually understand. This is fiction after all, and as long as you go in with the mindset of "This is a horror game, it's sole purpose is to scare me" everything is fine. But to play the game thinking it's fap fuel........... *there is something so deeply fucked with your head that you are beyond saving. @@potatortheomnipotentspudI mean, in this case, "horror" is the sub-genre. This is an eroge, not a "game-game". Like, Amnesia: The Dark Descent is a horror game. Alien Isolation is a horror game. For contrast, Resident Evil 4 is an action game with horror as it's sub-genre. This is, first and foremost, an ero(tic) game. It's entire purpose is to be arousing/gratifying. Because there's an audience for guro (grotesque) content. It's just... not, like, folks who say "even though it's messed up, I get a weird high from it. It's emotionally jarring nature peaks my interest." No, instead, you get folks like, "Now THAT'S how you treat a woman" and "Why are you getting so offended by this stuff? If you don't like it, don't look at it. It's not real, so it doesn't matter if I fap to this shit" - which they will ironically say immediately after the first statement. And also, it's not true. It's a lie. Lots of content makes lots of different people feel different ways. It doesn't matter that it's "not real", because the part that the person is getting off on is the grotesque and violent nature of the content... therefore, it being "fake" isn't in question. How THEY interpret the content is. Which is also why lots of people try to defend... OTHER genres of anime ero(tica) with the same argument, despite the fact that they LIKE the content BECAUSE of what it depicts. "It's not really a 12 year old" and "it's not really an animal" and so forth... yet, why did they decide to engage with that content? Being fake doesn't matter, psychologically/treatment speaking. How you personally think about the content does.

As a Visual Novel Connoisseur myself, I have 908 wishlists on VNDB despite only have played 61 Visual Novels(-Д-). Also, when you want to find your perfect "the one Visual Novel" and end up adding more VNs to your wishlist that don't fit your criteria from what you are searching for, but look interesting can be act like a dopamine itself. Actually it is the same for almost any media out there

A month late to the video, but... isn't there quite a few inaccuracies in the video? The box's curse requires 7, not 8 wombs, the island is controlled by 7 houses, while Yasaka is the 8th house they aren't really considered a noble house and is shunned by the others. Kyouko and Kurou wasn't driven by revenge either, and these isn't some sort of late game plot twist either, it's just explained outright.

It's amazing how you can smear so much mascara before you put it on. True talent. 10/10 oscars!!

After looking into this novel. I disagree to wanting to cheer these two on at the start. This woman is insanely obsessed, manipulative and just in general creepy, if I were that man I would be scared of her. She is so absolutely disturbing to me and I think it really gives me personally the sense to prepare for horrible stuff later on so they did well. If anything I would've cheered for the guy at the very start to manage to get away with his daughter and with this dude marrying this woman; I would've personally cheered for him to have gotten away

My favorite visual novel ever was "Saya no Uta", or "Song of Saya", and while it is bloody... Probably not realistically like this, it is extremely gory in its core, and the themes it touches are extremely gory too. But damn the story, how it made me feel, and how the characters were portrayed... It's not at all a masterpiece, objectively, but it is for me.

I grew up on horror and gore, but seeing what it's done to you and how I've been reacting to extreme gore scenes lately. Eroge are Japanese games that have erotic scenes mostly used for categorizing visual novels, it's an umbrella term! Eroge tend to be used under the visual novel umbrella that can include tags such as SRPG, action, comedy, romance, drama, horror, psychological.

Oh nice to have played this one before the vid, and yeah do agree rather brutal, love some solid horror though and this delivered in spades. The story and characters also kept me engaged throughout, liked the urban legend angle a lot, that's what initially drew me to it, but how it built up our main cast only to watch in dread as they spiral towards depravity was great, as was the twists and turns throughout. Especially so with Kurou's little foray immediately after the wedding incident and how that ultimately plays into the grand scheme of things. Also was very pleasantly suprised by the antagonists, mainly Ryuusei with how it took what I thought was a one note irredeemable bastard and made me feel for and somewhat root for him in the third act, which was greatly appreciated considering our main protags were now quite dreadful to follow along. It was quite an immpressive matter of story-telling with our protags journey along with that of the seemingly antagonist. The ending especially tied it all together incredibly nicely with some lingering mysteries that I'm quite certain I pieced together, not to mention a beautiful ost, a very solid 8/10.

Okay, I'd heard of the Kotoribako before, but the whole feeding it wombs bit is new...

i'm so glad to see someone talking about nie no hakoniwa! i genuinely loved the setting and the main heroine, the historical aspect of it was very neat. i had a few gripes with how frequent and drawn out the h-scenes were, but hey, its an eroge, i can't exactly fault it for that. solid 8/10

This is irrelevant to this video, but I just finished SubaHibi and it's such a great game, I encourage everyone who hasn't played it to give it a try.
