I just purchased a mold set from Eras Gone for my .31 cal. 1849 pocket revolver. Excellent mold! I am SO buying this Kerr bullet mold...as soon as im done posting this for my Remington New Army!
Great video and bullet mold. Vaughn Concrete should be thankful. Free advertising from your video.
Mark, my Kerr casts really well. I heat soak the mold on my Lee pot, then cast. No wrinkles, no missing areas. THat is a really good mold. THanks
Mark, What a great bullet. It loads easily into my Confederate Griswold and a Pietta New model Army. Great News It works well in my Ruger Old Army. Been looking for a bullet like this since 1975. Keep up the great work. You people need to buy this guys products and keep him going.

Just got done convincing my wife to let me buy one of these molds, thanks Mark!!! 03-08-2020: I recieved the mold in a timely manner on Saturday and went straight to prepping the mold and casting which went really well. Today I tested the cast bullets with my Uberti models of the Remington new model army and 1847 colt walker. The results were definitely interesting. You have provided us a truly universal bullet Thank you again.

Just got my kerr mold to day...molded out about 60 of em...cant wait to try em...thanks a bunch
Just got the mold last week. I will be making paper cartridges this weekend. Looks like it’s going to be a great shooting bullet just like the Dragoon. Thanks for making these available, greatly appreciated.
Thank you for posting
Excellent bullets. In the future I'm going to buy a Remington .44 revolver.
Wow. Very nice. Thanks Mark.
Mark, nice video and a great new addition for shooting in .44 revolvers. Loved the BRO hat.

That’s a great looking bullet!
Thank You for the video!
Really getting me into these older weapons and ammo, I've always wanted a SAA or a S&W Russian/Model 3. I like traditional firearms as well but this kind of firearm is growing on me.
Many thanks for posting this, I thought at first there was a Kerr being reproduced! This looks like a very good bullet to use in the Colt 1860, I look forward to trying this one.

I wish someone would reproduce the gun! I suspect it would cost as much as LeMat, however

awesome
Great!
That’s nice one maybe best yet.
I bought a Johnson & Dowl mold Maybe this would have been better since I could use it in my Walker too. Next order I will.
I’d love a repro of the Kerr revolver

You and me both! If it was ever made it would probably be a $1,000 gun, like the LeMat.

Eras Gone Bullet Molds might be worth it
Hello Mr. Hubbs, I own a 2017 era Uberti Colt 1860 Army and am looking to either buy one of your .44 Johnston molds, or this English .44 Kerr mold. I would like to use paper combustible cartridges. I was wondering if you had any experience using combustible cartridges on a Uberti 1860 Army and if so, do the .44 Johnston cartridges typically fit without modification? From what I've gathered the Piettas need work, but I was wondering the Ubertis need to be modified as well? Thanks!

Both the Pietta and Uberti will take some work to use paper cartridges, the Pietta much more than the Uberti. If you want to leave your Model 1860 as is, I suggest the .44 Kerr for paper cartridges. You should be able to load those without any modifications. Thanks!

@@erasgonehistoricalmolds2400 Thank you for the reply! I'll order a mould as soon as they come back in stock. Keep up the great content, lots of folks really enjoy this.
This may be a silly question as I know you are focused on historic designs. I am wondering what the best bullet to use for home defense in a Taylors and company tommy 1858 new army. My concern is traditional designs over penetrate I want a lead round that will expand and dump energy. Any suggestions ( other than traditional cartridge guns)

Just try down loading the powder charge a bit. Use a corn meal filler over the reduced powder charge, then seat the ball. If your real careful you can try and put a small mephlat / flat on the nose of the bullet like on a 45 Colt 250 grain bullet.
Wish some of these molds were available. Can’t find the Johnson and Dow mold anywhere

I like the eras bullets quite a bit. There are never any molds for sale. I have been looking for a few years now. The adds should stop if the business has gone out of business.
