Very comprehensive history, thanks. Would like to see more of the ground grandstand/stand and standing area layout plans (shown briefly for some periods in this video) shown for a longer time, as a chronological evolution of the ground, showing their respective capacities, and evolving ground total capacity (and showing their dimensions, if possible).

was told no new renos for the mcg for the next 5 years but theres talk of moving the lights into the stands themselves around 2030 but no renos for now apart from a new foot bridge to the mcg from richmond station

great video patrick, i kinda excited for the new development of the mcg stands but its still 3 years away lol

People can continue to say that Adelaide Oval or Optus Stadium is better than the G, and that might be true by modern standards. But no other venues in the world have the history and character of this great ground and never will.

Increasing Capacity has to happen. 100,024 people at the last two grand finals would suggest an increase is desperately needed.

You forgot the Women's World Cup record in 2020

India has the largest cricket stadium in the world beating MCG interns of capacity but MCG facilities are great
