Good video! I was hoping to see if there was going to be a character meta breakdown throughout the years, so even though it was just about the pros and the tournaments themselves, this was a dope video my guy

Ya know, I probably should've included that, and by region, because it does vary around the world season to season (same with weapons). Anyways, keep doing what you're doing! Im a fan and get a lot of inspiration from you

Nickmercs unloading a clip into his wraith teammate was the funniest thing i have seen all day. 37:27

that clip just made me laugh so hard lololol
i think covid might've actually helped stall apex a bit to really build up the "grassroots" support it needs to be an esport. it helped people really learn how to play the game properly, and it made personalities to really root for. hate them or love them i think something EA did well was really always have a vision past the next tournament. there was always a tournament to play that would qualify for this huge finale.

as a member of the FGC, many eSports scenes felt wayy to "proper" for me. I really like apex's stream because while they have that for the people who want and enjoy it, or at used to it, they have things like nicewiggs b stream where it's significantly less professional and has great vibes. I am really enjoying myself spectating Apex compared to league and other such eSports scenes. I personally find it extremely funny when people come to our biggest tournament streams and are like "wtf is this why are top players shit posting in twitch chat this is so unprofessional" and then actually watching eSports I definitely can understand why. But I just love professional unprofessionalism the best!

It wasn't covid. It was warzone coming out that killed apex for a while.

Covid really helped all games. The grassroots are also those streamers, idk why but they are very loyal to the game, aceu, lulu, hal, reps, and so many more
Season 0 Day 1 player here and you made me so happy with a lot of the memories. Thank you
You brought back so many good memories man. Well done! Here's hoping for the best in the coming tourney.

That hardecki squad wipe with horizon is still my favorite apex moment. I watched it live and couldn’t believe what I just watched.
if only he knew rig was gonna go TWO TIMES BABYYYYYYY WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Great video! Can’t imagine how much time it took to piece this all together. Got real nostalgic seeing Lifelines shield cover, the wingman used to make me rage so hard 😅
For me nothing come close to apex esports. Full of action and emotions. The best apex tourny was the one which bottom20 won . i didnt knew the players and i was so emotional. I was so fucking happy for them. Them signing with 100T was a true Cinderella story and im glad i was there to see. Thanks for making this video
Watching this after TSM just won the 2023 ALGS Split 1 Finals, definitely enjoyed learning more about the epic history of the scene. Great content
I'm lucky enough to actually go see ALGS Year 2 in person so i finally get to see how much better pros are than the average player
As someone who has been obsessed with the Apex competitive scene since it began, thank you. The work you put in shows and you did this incredible story justice.
Great video, so glad I started watching Apex around a year ago, been my favourite game since, can't wait for champs
Great job on this!!!! I appreciate the refresher and all the hard work you've put into it. Nice one brother
I feel like a old man thinking about that I been in the Apex scene for over 3 years and especially feeling old that I needed a Recap like this one to remember what happend in these past 3 years in Apex Comp. Its just a "wow" how far Apex has come.
Wow!! Great video, can tell the time save effort that went into this. Brought back some serious nostalgia
Thanks so much for the breakdown! Helped me and my friends get caught up. Can’t wait for the finals now!

It's about to go down
huge respect in making this, great vid!
Amazing video, only thing you missed was the different map changes for the pro league. Was looking for a video like this a while back when just getting into Apex pro, thank you so much for this.
I thought this was going to be another video about TSM and how they've fallen off/ given way to new competitors (depending on how you look at it) but was pleasantly surprised at this very objective perspective on the competitive scene, great vid :)
Great video. Only got into Apex at the start of the year and kinda found the split 2 playoffs (or which ever they were in march) on accident on the second day those were going and got kinda hooked to watching it and ever since then loved the pro schene of apex so to learn more about the history is really cool
Hal's just casually taking over the competitive apex lol, with or without TSM.
Helluva video.. gets me even more hyped for champs next week!
Hal is literally like top 1-3 in almost every tourney lol wow
These TSM dudes really kicked ass it seems, I’m just a lowly apex mobile player.
I like the channel changing more into an apex focused channel it’s nice and u keeping the same style
This is some amazing work!!!! Hats off to you Sir
so well put together viedo, thanks for this diehardgg

great video
This is a great vid
Great work well done
I think the biggest bug isnt the wraith/loba bug atm. But the replicator bug with how important shield bats are for higher levels of play
I swear, apex esports is absolutley incredible
Damn they should bring back solos as a casual queue. It was really fun
This is super nostalgic for me!
great vid man liked and commented for algo gods
Good video 👌🏾🔥
Played from Day 1 until about season 5 then left and came back around Season 11. Man those early days
The history of Apex Legends Esports is truly amazing. Now that Apex Legends Mobile has dropped, I am looking forward to a Apex Legends Mobile Esports/Tournaments in the near future, would be amazing to watch!
YES DIEHARDGG VIDEO LETS GOOO
Very good
Nice vid
My favorite orgs have always been Team Liquid and G2 but some of my favorite streamers like Sweet or Naughty are also fun to root for. I can’t wait to see how it all goes down!
Shame you didn't bring up the Command Center feature on Twitch for the official PlayApex channel. It was a game changer on how we viewers experience competitive BR. Being able to watch each team's POV of our choice and hear their comms was the biggest positive note EA/Respawn and Twitch did for the competitive scene. It's to this day my favorite feature.
TSM was so good back then 😭
On god I just said Apex needed this video.
Awesome
37:57 thx for explaining this
I’m so excited for Raleigh. I think RIG will take it with a healthy genburten but I want optic to win since my favorite roller team didn’t make 😭. At least optic is a bunch of former console boys.
I love this guy

2:06 did not expect to see Aculite Fugglet and Tomo in this video!! I loved watching those guys stream Apex back in the day! They’re still fun to watch now but warzone has lost most of its charm for me, I’d love to see them revisit Apex more often.
@JessicaJinx

Loved watching them play Apex too! Aculite has been playing a bit of Apex lately, but mostly arenas
Im fucking subbing . This a damn good video . GG 🤘🏽
F's in the chat for Prowler selectfire receiver. That puppy slapped.
Man the matchpoint system was so better than what it was before. It sets them apart from others as the top tier BR esports. Just hope they take care of the bugs/errors to keep players in Apex
I'm just listening to the Apex music packs in the background...
Hey thats me at 6:42 :KEKW: Good old days xD
33:00 I feel like there was a lot better moments in the tourney, for instance Skittle's 1 hp clutch in the final circle, but nevertheless a good video
@wolfeater2153

the highlight shown was from the split 2 qualifier rather than playoffs itself
I think warzone was a honorable mention around season 2 on apex, I know I made a switch around then
I really want someone to do this with LoL as I’m trying to get into it more as an esport. Regardless I love this for Apex!
@diehardGG

I'd have to learn so much about LoL, but I've considered taking the plunge for other games
W video
Imagine talking about competitive apex but most of them are Na event. How about Vtuber cup?, Cr cup, FFL? It has more viewers than most of tourney that this video mentioned. And these tourney really affect competitive scene especially in Apac
Finallllyyyyy let's gooooooo
I'm glad gurhl isn't casting anymore. She's just not cut out for it

Honestly. Was gonna comment about that too.
The Apex Launch was broken as all living fuck, but it was still a blast. Playing the OG fat boys was a legit handicap.
20:22 Lmao skittle
I expected something more like the comp meta and the players that made it
crazy how many names you see
Yo thanks buddy

Lifeline didn't have a her shield for mich further down the road my guy...?
Wish EA would put more support behind the competitive scene. Go reignite
