For Potters and beginners this film is an introduction showing life as a potter in Japan. The Potter is not Japanese but English.. as the name of the Pottery indicates, but the craft is shown and the feeling is expressed in the pots. The Potter prefers to show not talk endlessly about his work, thus only a few notes scattered around for you to read. It shows bowls and tea sets made from the beginning to the end and he hopes you resonate with this humble, poor but gratifying craft.
Future projects will be hand building a platter ( June 19) and throwing a large bowl, making mugs, a better way, mixing glazes, designing a tea set......... learning to draw and design, and many more.
