The English Pottery, in Japan

The English Pottery, in Japan

Firstly if you are interested in doing a nine day pottery experience in Japan just go to the website www.theenglishpottery.co and look in the shop or read the blog first. It a new immersive experience for all levels of Potters but only four nine day courses are available for a maximum of nine people!

Otherwise this channel has a selection of pottery making and hand building demonstration videos of us throwing & making pots of all types on the potters wheel whilst i'm at my job at the English Pottery in Japan.

I hope you can learn something from watching whether or not you are a master potter or a keen amateur potter.

Please feel free to ask a question via KZread if you have anything to ask.

Thanks for watching!

Steve

The wares look nice, but it's very irresponsible to put lustres on surfaces that will come in contact with food (plates, bowls, mugs). This is never recommended. They are NOT food safe.

Love this! I'm a potter in Utah and sick with covid. I just marathoned all your videos. Thank you and keep them coming. One question, did ypu end up firing the mold you made so that you can make more of these flowers? They'd be beautiful in as garden ornaments too.

Thank you Carol1 please share my chanel. A hint with underpainting colour. If you use an opaque clear glaze it diffuses the bright colours giving a smoother finish. Fire at 1240 for the glaze to get a decent finish. I use a Linda Bloomfield recipe. The rest of her glazes are not great but this one is easy to make! Good luck!
