Thanks for the video ! Well explained, subscribed!
I hope you've worked on your English since this video there were a few spots that were rough to make out and your captions didn't help
cool video bro
Midrand water tower(believe also called central water tower) in South Africa is more humble (just around 30 meters high ) but quite impressive as an inverted structure as well , was built in mid 90s
I wouldn't want to be at the top of that building if the "Big one" ever hits Vancouver...
where can i find the study at 4:13 ?
You sound like the "Crazy Russian Hacker"
I'm close to Vancouver but Don't go there too often I haven't seen it does it actually exist has it been built? All I can find online is renders of it

it exists. It's quite beautiful if you ask me because it's different compared to what Van is getting. The problem is. The engineering within was supposedly shoddy. In other words. Corners were cut like a lot of the newer condo things here.
Yo vine de Facebook aver este video 😂
I still dont understand how they were able to calculate all the engineering of this building without having a very accurate way of measuring all of the weight in construction materials, In the building process. Also it just seems like a bad idea to build this in a highly seismic area, right next to a main transportation artery.

It's the same as any other building. They estimate the loads as close as possible and then apply safety factors to loads and material strengths to ensure design stresses stay within design code parameters.
Where are you from? Your accent is very intriguing.

Don't mention the water system damage which has left many of the units uninhabitable.
yes, but if the law says you have to stay 30 meters from the road, there must be a reason! and it certainly won't be the height that will change the situation... As far as I'm concerned, this building is the classic example that laws can be circumvented as long as you know them and that money can do everything. However, it remains dangerous for the bridge and the cars that pass over it.
Bad English hard to understand
