Marty's Ability also brought out the best in Dave, I think that Dave liked the challenge of trying to best Marty in the Plank Spanking Race and it lead to an amazing few years of guitar work.

@@Tradefy Yes, absolutely. And Dave's interview where he said after hearing Marty play he panicked because he realized Marty was a better guitarist and that's when he decided to focus more on the music rather than the rockstar lifestyle . Marty may have saved Mustaines life ! I love that story !

Daves voice in 2000s was fire imo, totally recovered from drug abuse and then he had spinal injury and then his voice drastically changed.

Well, now you gotta do Megadeth's "She Wolf" from the live DVD "Rude Awakening". You'll get a guitar solo battle and you'll even get a drum solo for the ages!

Come one! Only geniuses like Mustaine and Friedman can write such a song. A masterpiece like that can only be created by them and there is by far no other band in this fucking world that can come close to this! I heard this solo for sure a 1000nd times and I still get goosebumps.Outstanding!

Dave Mustaine was born in La Mesa, Ca the first city east of San Diego and for a very long time lived in Fallbrook,Ca just North of San Diego before moving to Tennessee for his daughter as she’s an aspiring country music singer.

An old friend and I are in a Megadeth live performance video with this lineup. That is my only claim to fame, lol.

I saw them live during an Ozzfest in 1998 and they sound amazing live!!! 🔥

Hadn’t seen Megadeth in concert until last year. Was a great show! Right up there at the top of the list and I’ve been going to rock concerts since the early 80s. Always regretted not seeing them back then but would definitely go again if they come near me again! Check out Rainbow “Mistreated” live 1977 in Munich. It’s 12 minutes but what a great performance! There’s so many great singers but Dio is my favorite.

God I saw the lineup with Menza and Friedman when I was 17. Testament and exodus were opening and I just remember men amongst men type performance.

The fact that Dave can play these riffs while singing is insane. A legend

The solo to this song is considered one of the best metal solos written and it really is, originally written by Marty Friedman. Chris Broderick does a good job here though. 2 songs I would recommend: Wake Up Dead In My Darkest Hour 🤘

This solo is widely regarded as the best solo in metal. And it is, in my book, at least. Friedman is guitar god.

I like all the members who have played the solo. They have all brought a different flavor to the solo. That Rude Awakening lineup is the most underrated in my opinion.

🤘🏼I saw them at a small venue about 10 years ago. They played the entire “Rust in Peace” album. The 25th anniversary of it. It was at Stubbs BBQ in Austin Tx. 🤘🏼🔥Anthrax and Slayer played as well.

You should just get it over with and watch the entire "Rude Awakening" concert video. Truly amazing.

Really love your reactions on this channel. Dave Mustain is notorious for being difficult to work with, and at 61 he got a brown belt in ju jitsu. I'm sure I spelled that wrong, but I'm sure you know what I mean. Almost honest would be great to react to.

This is my favorite Megadeth track. That guitar at the beginning is one of the toughest riffs ever written.

Well, it's not actually that hard. We played this song with my band when I was younger, and the only really tricky part is the solo, which I never nailed perfectly. It is a fast song, and I could not play it as fast anymore (because I haven't played in a decade), but I think I could still play that first riff. There are much harder riffs on Megadeth catalogue, and if you really want something even harder, you can try some Black Metal bands or Dream Theater. And don't get me wrong, Megadeth is one of my favorite bands, and this song was so much fun to play. I'm sure we didn't play it this tight, but neither did Megadeth back in the days.

You guys should definitely listen to Opeth! Maybe start with a song like Windowpane and gradually get to songs on Blackwater Park and Ghost Reveries.

Love how they stopped immediately before the greatest solo of all time and wondered where the solo was. As an old school rocker, the tension as they discussed it was immense

Hangar 18 solos are truly remarkable. You need to do a reaction of the normal version and that song might become your favorite

Suggestion for Slipknot: Duality, Psychosocial, or Sulfur are good 1st song choices.

Great reaction. It would be interesting to react to Slayer. Tons of guitar solos. Crushing guitar riffs. However, the lyrics are much darker than Megadeth or Metallica . I suggest Slayer's Seasons in the abyss, and please do the studio version. Also, do a lyric video so you can get all the lyrics.

I think how they ended the song was spectacular too.

Good Morning/Black Friday, My Last Words, In My Darkest Hour, Symphony of Destruction, Foreclosure of a Dream, Sweating Bullets, Train of Consequences, A Tout Le Monde, Elysian Fields, Trust, Almost Honest, A Secret Place, Breadlibne, still left to do.

If you're listening to a song for the first time, refrain from the live versions. Look for a video which shows lyrics as well and familiarize yourself with the song as much as possible, that way you know what the song talks about and what the artist actually meant for the song to sound like in a studio environment. Then and only then once you are familiar with the song should you jump to the live versions.
