She's so great.

Big beautiful voice, Taylor Dayne's straight forward power and passion grabbed her many top 10 hits in the late 80's. This was her first big hit followed by Prove Your Love, I'll Always Love You, Don't Rush Me, With Every Beat of My Heart, the #1 hit and beautiful ballad Love Will Lead You Back, and I'll Be Your Shelter.

Here voice isn't just powerful, IT IS GORGEOUS!!! Her and the 3 ladies from the Group, Expose' were the greatest female voices of that time!!! Taylor Dayne is one of my female idols, and role models!! She is indescribable!!! so Amazing!!!

Fun fact : Taylor Dayne was on a recent season of The Masked Singer, she was “ Popcorn”, and I knew her voice as soon as I heard it!

Taylor was one of the few singers I remember hearing that they were classically trained by studying opera before finding fame in rock music. That kind of training gives a singer a real powerhouse of a voice.

Love Taylor Dayne! I highly recommend Love Will Lead You Back, a ballad which went to #1 in 1990. I get emotional every time I hear it. Fun fact: Taylor appeared on The Masked Singer last year. Still rocking today!

Taylor Dayne's *"Prove Your Love"* has always been my favorite from her! This woman's voice can shake the walls!

Out in 88, I loved it then still do. A terrific singer. Can't understand why she wasn't more popular. Still performing sounds great, looks great all good for me.

This is the first Taylor Dayne reaction I've ever seen & I'm excited to see it. I still hear her hits played on the soundtrack at work...she's not forgotten. 80s Queen!

I loved this song so much in college. I'll never forget my boyfriend at the time was very into classic rock, guitar rock, etc... but, he said Taylor Dayne was the only pop star that could actually sing. Lol. BTW - she's out on tour now, and still looks amazing.

I'm so glad you discovered at her most popular late 80s/early 90s blue eyed American pop/soul singer Taylor Dayne! She's an exceptional vocalist and performer who is so underrated. One of my favorite bits about her is from comedian Tig Notaro, who shared in one of her standup sets meeting Dayne on several occasions, each time professing her appreciation of Dayne and her music with the exact same statement. In funny & endearing return, Dayne repaid Notaro by surprising Notaro while she was onstage doing a set, where Dayne sang to Notaro. Both clips can be found on youtube. Her 2nd album in 89 had 2 more big hits " with every beat of my heart' and " I'll be your shelter". Her Barry White cover of " can't get enough" did pretty well in 93. Since then she's had huge club hits, but not so much radio play

Later in my Navy career, my sub was in Portsmouth, Va for an overhaul. Me and some of my Nuke buddies found a club in Virginia Beach called September's in the late 80s. When Taylor came on, the floor was packed! Such great memories.

This was a great 80s song (1987, to be exact), big in dance clubs, and was in fact her breakout single. 35 years later, she's STILL going strong, and her voice is just as fierce as it was here. She had lots of other big hits, including "Prove Your Love", "I"ll Always Love You" (no, not a cover of the Whitney song), "Don't Rush Me", "WIth Every Beat of My Heart", "I'll Be Your Shelter", and "Love Will Lead You Back", which was her only #1 single. Taylor Dayne is one of my favorite female artist, alongside Stevie Nicks, Heart, Joan Jett, Tiffany, Susanna Hoffa and the Bangles.

Being surounded by hits growing up like this was a pleasure as a 80s 90s teen. Music seems to be better when go back into time.

Taylor Dayne, to me, has always been strongly reminiscent of Tina Turner, in her vocal power and range.
