I thought the exact thing. It looked like they tilted around 3rd point attack, because suddenly they started being impatient and messing up their positioning and engages. The tank probably had started complaining. The Sombra was playing very well before that (though sometimes prioritizing Hack a little too much, but that is my only real complaint).

im a plat 5 sombra as well. this is pretty much how id play judging by the first 6min ive seen so far. People arent aggressive enough these days. People waiting for EMP before they actually do anything

This is a tilted player. Notice how locked in he was in the beginning. When the tank started talking shit he lost all focus. I'd say turn off chat and climb.

id say its more common than getting defended by your teammates (apart from supports who obviously get defended by their team more since their abilities directly impact their team's playability) the enemy team is obviously going to have a much better grasp at how useful your damage is than your own team since theyre the ones having to survive your damage. your team will only see the number and assume tyouve either done enough or not enough damage.

Damn this guy plays a crazy sombra, felt like this guy could climb to diamond relatively easy, other than some questionable translocators and emps

ive had a game where someone complained about our mei not having much damage, in the meantime her wall saved us multiple times and her ult made it so we got good kills. damage isnt everything, its how you use your kit to win the game, not to win the fight

Thats the problem too many people focus the stats on the scoreboard. It's why everyone from Emongg to Awkward to ML7 have countless said the scoreboard is deceiving.

@@mistressofdreams6031 Well Sombra isn't even a high dps character. She is a kill and disrupt character. She doesn't spam dmg. Seems like some players don't understand how some characters work. Sometimes I think the people who just stay out of voice and turn of chat are the smartest ones since they avoid all the idiots

Whenever someone starts to trash talk their teammate in match chat I always reassure them. Always. I don’t want anyone to feel bad when they’re playing a game and having fun. I always tell them they’re fine and praise moves I’ve noticed because it is just not as serious as people make it out to be. No one deserves to feel like garbage when playing a video game.

Also being toxic towards teammates doesn't make them play better, but worse. Now they have performance stress and start making mistakes due to doubting themselves. We all have had bad games and it's fine.

@@kateplayz8984 It’s crazy how toxic gaming communities are because everyone makes mistakes even without a jarring swap between platforms yet every gamer acts like every other gamer is the problem. Getting flamed for something so inconsequential that’s not even fully in your control is exactly the type of thing I try to push against.

Honestly it's sometimes fun to be petty and hit the toxic person in the enemy team with the "actually your teammate is doing great, you are the one that's free to farm".

I did the same for a Tracer, she was doing pretty okay, but i hard focused her in order to protect my supports, so the she swapped to Phara (i was playing Hanzo) to counter me and my tank, and was doing very well. The enemy tank however was pissed at them bc of the elimination/death ratio since everytime she dived my ana i would one shot her, but what he didn't notice is that he was basically playing a 4v3 most of the time and still managed to lose everytime

Honestly watching this the only problem the submitter really had (or at least the core,) was getting tilted by the tank into playing characters they weren’t as strong with, I feel like their play as Sombra was good enough to continue to be a problem on defense, but in order to appease the tank they swapped to more obviously there DPS and got out of flow because of it IMO.

Great video, and a sad example seen of how flaming your own team leads to a loss through tilt. Guarantee that although not target of the flaming, the other three will be feeling tilted af too

A lot of times if someone flames their teammates I also try and defend them. Sure I could sit back and let them fight because it makes them start playing worse generally. But I don't get better for winning a game where the enemy team was just typing to each other all game. Remember you flaming your own team isn't helping win. And maybe instead of typing in the middle of a match or hopping in vc just to complain do something to help your team if their struggling.

Quick community poll: whats the most dangerous duo to deal with? As a ball main, ball and sombra are such a great duo when they get the timing right

Dive and brawl are alot more fun. Diving tracer sombra with our Winston, going with my rein as mei having our Lucio speed boost us

their sombra was actually really good. mute the toxicity and play what you want tbh.

The damage numbers thing is so true, I had a reaper rip on me once when I was Widow because he had like 1000 more damage. I had like 18 solo kills/one-shots after 1 round and he was just nonstop pumping damage into a Roadhog. Even the enemy team was like 'what.'

This was clearly good Sombra gameplay, especially at Plat level.

2:48 ive always wanted the stat tracking to differentiate between effective damage, which leads to an elim, and pressure damage, which gets healed away. would add some clarity in those kinda situations.

venture really is fun, their kit feels smooth and making plays with them is so satisfying

I swear atleast for comp they gotta remove the leaderboard stats so players can stop crying about who has the most dmg.. Damage doesn't mean anything

Also, the stats are not accurate. Like you can do 99% of the dmg but a dva will steal your kill with 1%... like gtfo

Cooldown usage was feeding. Kept using dig and teleport directly into the front of the backline.

Waiting doesn't negate the fact that you're going to take a loss. It just prevents you from getting suspended for like 15 minutes. That's how it's always been. I always stay in my comp games even if I'm the only one left because most people are nice enough to just sit there and spam voice lines with me. In a way it helps calm me down after getting pissed at my team for giving up.

This vod was perfect for me. Im a sombra/venture main. And the msitakes they made are mistakes I tend to make as well. There are points were I get impatient and end up screwing like that. I feel like that moment when they stopped fanking and going in with venture was because of the pressure from the tank and not feeling a way to get in and get value. Tank shouldn't have played ori, it wasn't bringing any value to the team. Zarya or even better, dva would have been perfect choices, Zarya to help with bubbles. I've won so many ganes brcause the Zarya bubbles me when I'm diving and that way I'm invinsible. And Dva to dive together and peel against the winton

Really good sombra play but for the others you were burning through your cooldowns for no reason. Try not to do that. As Venture you have great stalling potential and that can lead to more fights for a closer game so do that. On Reaper do not teleport in the middle of them. Way too easy to die or get no value. Just remain calm and think about what you are doing and what helps the team the most

sigma is 100% my favorite tank against a venture, the shield is great for wen they come out the ground on a flank and also their ult, and the rock can b helpful too if theyre trying to make a play

Ppl like to play dva or moira, stat farm heros, and think they're good. Like yeah you have 8k heals, but 6k of that was self healing cuz you dive backline when it doesnt make sense

imo correct me if im wrong but high elims arent impressive but low elims are bad most of the time (unless ur a sniper or sombra or someone who gets picks and doesnt damage everyone) and high deaths is bad but low deaths isnt good

I played today 19k 26ast 3 deaths as moira the enemy moira had 17k 3ast 5 deaths they had like 5k more damage then me but I had like 4K more heals and my offensive stats were better with less damage so yea stats do matter but only to a degree

No matter how many "eliminations" you have with moira, it won't matter. She does tickle damage almost 100% of the time, so everytime someone kills something, you'll earn an elim by doing 0.1hp dmg. Now her heals, almost the same, since her heals are tickle heals (just a bit more than Mercy) they are kinda useless when heals are important, baptiste heals are very noticeable during important moments like on a choke point, since he has burst heals plus immortality, same with kiri, Moira? she has no impact during those moments. So no matter how big your stats are, if you only played moira then it won't matter that much compared to other characters with lower stats.

Moira kills mean literally nothing, you throw a damage orb into the enemy team it does 14 damage and someone on your team kills them.. lol, unless you were hard flanking ig

@@AwesomeAlex2007sometimes those 14 tickle dmg are what earns the kill. moira is good at finishing off low hp targets. literally, this video talks about about how dmg numbers don’t matter but the play you make. and you continue to say “moira does xx dmg - so useless.”

You can say the same about Widow no? If she's one shotting then for the most part it's 250 dmg per shot. Nothing can be healed if your sniped or picked off by Sombra. I've seen this with Sojourn as well I'll pick them off before they get any healing so even though I'm doing less dmg and arguably less kills sometimes I died at most like 3-7 time if not just 1 or 2 times and got 12+ kills. I kept took out the supports or I took out the other DPS. I think more people are starting to realize (thx to videos like these) that the stats don't tell the full story. Low healing after we lost the game? It could be bad supports but it could also be that the non-supports didn't retreat or group up after the supports died by the time the tank and Dmg goes down the supports just arrived and are now getting ganked. So now I as a support have to weigh is it WORTH rushing back to point or to just let you fall over while we still have minutes or a high % capture left to regroup. Some may complain what took so long but it just made more sense to let overextenders and those who ignore the back line to fall over as that we may all adjust.
