@Alaska Music Jesse betrayed him and this resulted in Hank getting killed. You can argue that that was actually deeper and it was actually the result of Walt's actions, but in his mind at the time if Jesse wouldn't have helped the DEA to find Walt and his money, Hank wouldn't have shown up, so he wouldn't have died. In the end Walt might have understood that Jesse didn't plan on hurting Hank in the process and the fate he ended up having was worse than death, so I guess in Walt's mind Jesse went through more than he actually expected, so he saved him because he still cared for Jesse and because he had his revenge.

Disagree with your analogy. Walt was always a good person and badly taken for granted. His son admired his tough cop uncle more than his own dad. His wife took him for granted and paid more attention to pampering herself. His brother in law treated him like a wimp. His former colleagues used him. His students ridiculed him and his carwash boss treated him badly. Then he got cancer. Poor guy couldn't catch a break. Suddenly, he was respected and needed in the meth business. I loved seeing him become powerful.

Seeing how Walt slowly went from being a good man to a killer was sad. Walt wasn't a monster, -or maybe he was and I was just blinded by his good intentions. Jesse was a lost soul who got more and more manipulated by Walter. All in all the series deserves all the hype, it's a roller coaster of emotions all tightly packed together with a bow on top. It's a great series, even 10 years after its start. Seeing Walter laying on the floor bleeding out just summed up the hole series I think. It's a masterpiece.

ozymandias, granite state and felina were amazing as ending to the series, and i personally loved how them all accentuated something that was showcased everytime throughout the show: walter's superhuman ability to change the course of his actions at the last possible second: he was about to put up a fight at the desert before realizing it was hank approaching in his truck to arrest him, he surrendered on the spot. then jack and his gang arrived and then he was on survival mode again, speeding to get to his family before news about hank´s murder got to them. when skylar slashes his hand with the knife he realizes he just lost his family for good, so he thinks fast, snatches baby holly and leaves, as the means to free skylar from suspicion by making authorities think that she's another victim from walter (which she basically was, anyway). in granite state, he comes at peace with himself and decides to give up and calls 911 to surrender (once again), then he sees the tv and watches gretchen and her husband downplaying walter's contributions to grey matter. once again, he thinks at the speed of light and sees the perfect opportunity to make his cash get to his family by using grey matter as money laundromat. his plan finally into motion, he talks to skinny pete and badger when it comes up that blue meth is still being sold on the streets, and with jesse pinkman alive, walter has nothing else to think but that jesse bargained with jack and associated with him, so he, again, thinks of a plan to get revenge at them all once and for all, he gets the M60, appoints a meeting with lydia, poisoning her in the process, and goes to jack´s labhouse to kill him, his gang and also jesse for being a traitor to his eyes (it has to be pointed out that walter also intended to kill himself in jack's hideout, at the press of a button, since at that point he already had nothing else to live for). when he arrives at jack's and makes jack bring jesse into the room, so he can be also killed when he activates his sentry gun, he then realizes jesse is far from being jack's associate and instead he's more like his slave so he changes the course of his actions, for the last time, deciding to save jesse by staging a fight with him, dropping him to the floor and away from the hail of bullets he's about to unleash.

I always hard time understanding EXACTLY what a show or movie is trying to say, but to me this show is about awakening yourself, living life full throttle like Walt did, and doing what YOU want, even if thats become a world meth kingpin. I dont see Walt as the villian, he only ever did what he felt would move him forward. Idk id like to know what you think the point is.

The success of Walt's drug manufacturing technique became his drug of choice. He was addicted to his ability to turn out such pure product. Seeing someone else trying to produce it was like him watching someone trying to molest his children. He just couldn't let it happen. He also had a personality flaw that a lot of "regular" folks have. He just couldn't be wrong about anything... even when he was. The ending? He tried to right some wrongs the only way he could... his way.

Tyna Darco Idk how many times you've watched the show, but rewatch it again and pay attention to how Walt changes and the things he does. In the beginning, he sees money on TV from a meth bust and immediately becomes interested to use his scientific brilliance to cook methamphetamine and become a criminal, rather than taking Elliot's offer to come back to Grey Matter. He lies to his wife about practically everything, and then tries to act like the victim when confronted. He gets the opportunity to cook very large quantities of his product in a super lab by working for Gus, making millions, but complains and wants things to go his way all the time and could never mind his business, which almost gets him killed which resulted him ordering the death of Gail. He poisons Andrea's son as a move to provoke Jesse to murder Gus in order to keep himself alive, then when Jesse figures it out and almost kills Walt, White then deceives Jesse into believing it couldn't be him, turning the situation around by saying Gus sent Jesse to his house to kill him. He doesn't mind bullshitting Jesse often. He drove into traffic with his half paralyzed brother in law to keep him from snooping around the laundromat. He bombed a nursing home. He murdered Mike. He murdered 10 witnesses to save his freedom. He made a horrible video pointing fingers at Hank as the real Heisenberg as blackmail. Walter White was the villian bro, at heart he always was. The red flags started going off in Season 1. In season 2 when he let Jane die, is what set that snakey, devilish tone for him for the rest of the series.
