Honestly, with Pearl as your butler, your task instantly become 10 times easier to do and keep secret. Because if you had been on your own and running away from every mob, people might have caught on. With Pearl ready and willing to defend you and do everything you asked, it never even seemed odd.

The main thing I like about the gimmick of this season, is how much it encourages people to mingle with the other groups

It was such an amazing series of events: -Bdubs incorrectly pressed succeed last session and is forced to defeat the enderdragon this session as punishment. -Bdubs needs allies to come to the end with him and tries to recruit Gem -Gem's task is to lie, so when Bdubs asks her whether she's interested, Gem has to lie and tell him she isn't. -Gem fails her task, because, quite frankly, it was pretty much impossible, and decides to be a menace by convincing people to kill the enderdragon for her. -Impulse, who has Pearl as his butler and can't kill any creatures, decides to accept anyways, because he thinks it'd be entertaining to force Pearl to kill the dragon for him. -Gem arrives at Bdubs, who was close to giving up on his task, just in time to give him the best news he could receive at that moment: "I'm gathering an army to kill the enderdragon". Bdubs immediately accepts, perhaps a little too eagerly. -During the fight, Pearl gets badly hurt and Impulse isn't allowed to kill anything, so they stay back as Bdubs kills the dragon, making absolutely sure it couldn't be argued Bdubs didn't complete his task for not landing the final blow.

@@bobthebox2993 not to mention that four people came to steal the kill and none of them were able to. -Martyn walked right off the platform -Jimmy and Scott were both thrown by the dragon. Scott survived but didn't want to get close to the dragon again. -Lizzie angered an enderman, which kept her occupied long enough for Bdubs to get the last hit on the dragon. (I think Scott and/or Pearl might have also helped her with a water bucket or a boat? I'll have to rewatch to confirm).

Impulse keeping the secret from us as well is honestly such a good idea because I watched other POVs and I have zero clue what his task is (or it's been debunked by a yellow life lol)

I did not guess the task, but shout out to your Editor! Last week while on the Camel with Scar, and this week with Pearl, I like the use of their Time Lapse Music.

The editing for that fight was AMAZING, syncing with the music and everything!! I haven't even watched the last few minutes I had to stop IMMEDIATELY and come say how great it was!!

And it was so awesome that Impulse and Pearl were together on the camel so that Mumbo wasn't alone with one person. Although people are doing the BigBrain start of doing just weird things in general so that people don't know what their real task is.

The way everything seems to just fit together this session. Pearl and Impulse on the camel with Mumbo, BDubs needing to kill the dragon (and then Gem recruiting an army to do just that)... It's all blowing my mind!

You hid your task really well to the point where I couldn't even guess what it was! Not killing the zombies that came after you and Grian, not killing the creeper behind Gem, and even convincing Bdubs to land the final blow on the dragon were things that seem innocent enough on first watch but become quite obvious in hindsight. Being involved in the heart foundation thing was also kind of a smart move to throw the yellows off of your scent, intentional or not. Now that the dragon is dead, I suggest the task of obtaining an elytra! Simple as that! Although that is not to say that it'll be easy...

I figured the task out immediately the moment zombies got spawned at trader's scar and he didn't attack the zombies at all, he was just staring at them. Well, that is assuming that "don't attack any players or mobs", counts as a correct guess for the task "don't kill anything"

Man, you got lucky with the "pearl is your butler" save.

Task Suggestion: Afk Session! Convince 3 different players to protect and intertain your audience while you are "afk" for 2 minutes. If they hand you over to another player or just leave you, that person doesn't count

@@himynameisfin I think it has great potential to be kept secret from yellows. It's a task where the player themselves has control over when they do it. If there are a lot of yellows around, they can just decide not to enter the property.

That dragon fight was SO HYPE! Great clutches from everyone (RIP the Big Dogs)- also couldn't guess the task, but it was heartwarming seeing Skizz get repaid :D

Honestly, I feel like for this specific task it would have been BETTER to know it for the dramatic irony with the dragon fight. That's part of the secret life fun, watching everyone's perspectives to see all the stressful moments of completing their tasks! If I wanted to wonder what Impulse's task was I would have watched Pearl or Bdubs or Gem first (I did, I watched Pearl and then came straight here to see since it seemed from Pearl's episode like he wasn't doing anything weird and I wanted to see what it was and what it was like hiding it from Pearl. The other times people have had tasks involving staying close to other players it's been fun seeing the stuck-close-to player deal with hiding their task from their shadow!) As it was I kept wanting to skip to the end, which I shouldn't want because Impulse's videos are great and entertaining and it's fun to watch the whole thing.

Task idea: you don't have a task this week. You can come up with whatever lies you want as a task.

I can't remember what any of those things were, but I remember being like 🤔 did he actually watch Naruto? I could honestly see it going either way. I know I love Kakashi and I love Etho and there's something weird in my brain that goes on that causes me to like each of them more. Lol like as I grow to like one more, I like the other more, too, for no real reason. These days, kakashi doesn't have anything going on, so it's mostly etho making me like kakashi more. Lol that skin does a number on me somehow I say all that to say that even if he doesn't care about Naruto, it's interesting that his personality is vaguely reminiscent of kakashi imo.

here's a task idea... two of them in fact and both should preferably be given at the same time. Task1: Declare yourself King of the Secret Life server and get at least 5 other people to agree to be your vassals/knights (bonus points for getting a yellow and a red to be your vassals/knights without them calling you out on it). While doing this you must also make reasonable decrees that are also rediculous. Task2: Create a resistance. If you are caught performing resistance based tasks then you fail. One of these would fit Grian instantly and the other... dunno who it'd go towards but as I said if possible they should both be given out at the same time.

I guess impulse is the only player on this server to actually keep their secret a secret

I love the idea of putting Pearl’s build theme while hanging out, so cool!

actually a really good task!

Tips for dragon killing -- 1. All pillars, even the tallest ones and the caged ones (which Impulse showed) can be hit from the ground with arrows, though the very highest couple can be awkward. If you want to be safe though and have enough arrows, this is the way to go -- don't try to pillar or climb up. 2. The safest way to do melee damage to the dragon is to get to the fountain before it gets there. It will never strafe (shoot dragon's breath at you) while it's trying to perch, so you are safe to go there and wait for it once you see it making a beeline in. 3. Once you are in the fountain and the dragon is above you, do not ever jump. Instead, go to whatever side the dragon's head winds up on and swing at the head. After you deal about a quarter of the dragon's health, it will fly away. You can also hit the body if the head is too far; it will just do less damage per hit. In rare cases the dragon may be completely unreachable without jumping, in which case you're safest waiting for it to fly away and try again on the next perch. You can also jump up on the fountain edge while crouching and hit from there, but you will get launched sometimes if you do this. 4. If you can't get to the fountain ahead of the dragon, the safest is to just wait for the next perch so you can (but see the next point). But you can also sneak in without getting hit. To do this, approach from behind the dragon and jump into the fountain, all while crouched. As dangerous as it might seem, this is way, way safer than trying to melee the dragon from outside. (You saw Pearl and BdoubleO go flying). 5. The only time a 1.20 dragon will ever fly at you and hit you is immediately after it leaves a perch. You can avoid this by being far enough below the dragon's flight path that it can't touch you. Easiest and safest way to do this is to dig down a couple of blocks into the endstone. You can come up after the dragon passes overhead. Once you know what to do, it's entirely possible and not even very difficult to kill a dragon while taking no damage at all.

Man, i love the way this episode edited. The "secret" secret task, sad and hype music, also the perfectly cut moments. Good job impulse!

I had a feeling it was about iron. Maybe ‘iron is your favourite block’. Randomly stopped to grab iron ingots, complimented Jimmy’s armour. All red herrings.

The way the End fight was edited musics visual etc was amazing

Here are my thoughts I was going through figuring your task out. 1. Helping Skizz get his hearts back. That's the first one I thought of, but that would be incredibly crazy odds if you got that one right after the previous task. That's not it. That's for sure. [That was even confirmed to be false lead] 2. The main focal point of the episode was going to End. That's obviously on the main path to get a good gear (especially elytras). That might be RELATED to your task, but again, I don't think this is it either. [That wasn't confirmed to be a false lead until the end] I didn't have any more guesses, so I didn't really guess it. But yeah, that's understandable. Your task was rather an easy one, but you could easily just end up in a dangerous situation if you were to be alone at some point.

Mumbo saying everyone unsubscribe at the end gotta be one of the top 10 Mumbo quotes of all time

Task idea: punch the entire server and not get punched back by at least 5 people

I love this series so much!! Decided to watch the new videos of secret life during a free period in class, then saw Impulse uploaded!!! So far, it's a great day!! Keep up the great work :D

Task idea 1: Throw a party for a past life series team (BEST, flower husbands, Ranchers, bad boys etc.) Task idea 2: Get all Secret life members to throw you an item. Any item. Task idea 3: Get 3 people in a row NOT to give you a heart when you ask them. If someone gives it to you, you need to restart

Task Idea: Ask EVERYONE in the server for their heart. If they give you their heart, you must compliment them. But if they don't, you must threaten/antagonize them. Came up with this suggestion while watching the video. It's a pretty easy one, but could lead to some troubles and alliences broken.

28:47 Historic moment, first dragon kill in the life series. Task idea: take one block or more from everyone else's house and make a new house

A really fun task would be to convince three people that a mob is called by another name, for example: a cow is a pig or a sheep is a horse, like call the mob the wrong name and get three other people to call it that as well

Such fun listening to you pitch all the hermits! And the music during totally makes it!

The editing on this was so frickin awesome!! The strategic use of 3rd person/replay cam, combined with the fantastic use of music - the camel ride with Pearl in particular was made 10x funnier (and it was already pretty funny). Not to mention the dragon fight - so epic! It really feels like you had a lot of fun both recording and editing this episode, so props to you!

This was a really smart wad of editing the video. Great session and good luck the rest of the way!

it's really funny how everybody's just not making anything they'll be too proud of coz they know it's going up in flames

Task suggestions: > Tell no lies. > (Hard) Make a functional endermen farm on the overworld. > Make spawners for 3 different friendly mobs. > Make a secret tunnel between your base and [insert random player]'s base widout getting caught. > (Hard) Start a timer for half the duration of the session, you must end that timer with exactly the same amount of hearts as you started, no more, no less. > Steal the water or lava from someone else's bucket. > You are vegan. > Fire is dangerous, do not use any itens that have fire in them or that produce fire, and stay at least 4 blocks away from any of those if you can see them, if you notice any of those, you have to run in fear from them. It starts minutes after you read this, for that time you can remove torches and other similar items in preparation. > All the wood you use this episode has to come from the bottom two blocks of trees, you have to leave the rest of the tree where you find it. > Swap a tool from someone for a better one widout then noticing it was you. > You have to avoid your allies for at least half the session.

Task idea: walk away during a random part of all the conversations you have during the session.

task suggestions: speak like Shakespeare / in old English for half of the session, then the second half pretend that you have been speaking normally the hold time. a yellow has to get both parts of the task for it to be a fail.

Task idea: rank every one in the sever from worst to best and put down a sign for their number in front of them. then say a word that repersent that number like if they were the worst you could say trash so on and so forth if they come up to you and ask what your doing you have to rank them again.

task idea: move playername's house up by 1 block. If they accuse you of tampering with their house in any way, then you failed this task. duo task idea: Build the tallest tower. 10 minutes before the end of the episode you can reveal your task and the towers height get's evaluated. (you can not call anyone out for this task) definition tower-height: the height starts from at least a 3x3 platform with only blocks and entities, placed by you above it and the height stops at the first visual gap. hard task idea: gift everyone a heart and let each person know first, that it's from you. if you get called out for gifting more than once, you fail this task. (you are allowed to break the rule of one gift per episode for this task)
