I am gonna be honest ive tried to dabble with stoneworks in the past but always ran into problems of 'everyone already owns everything' even when a new world is opened, that being said with a entirely new world again, and a much larger one I hope I can actually get into this server for once properly and have high hopes for this new world. Maybe even get some old friends together and start up our own colony.

Well you see, it sounds great in theory but in practise this new world after few months will probably have the same issue as you mentioned here. There is a hype for new world which means a lot of players will play on it in the beginning which will lead to many many new nations that will claim everything that they can leaving nothing else for new players. Not to mention that new players that will try to make their own nation might just be unlucky to spawn next to a group of people from Rathnir/Eldham that already know how does the server work. These "old" groups will just simply outnumber and outgear any new players. So in the end, this new world will fix this problem only temporary and after some time things will get back to what we are used to right now.

@@urbaniak5576 To be fair this is probably true, but I feel it at least would give me a better chance to get into a server like this which I am very interested in, even if it means essentially becoming part of someone elses nation for protection later. And at least with a fresh slate there is far more balance, balance that will inevitably change but its far better odds then trying to do anything I would like to get into right now. Furthermore I doubt the 'old groups' as you say will entirely stick together at all, too many peoples, towns, and nations for any form of true cohesion to be maintained in the move plus all sorts of people that want to try their luck at new and better or just different things. Plus anyone that decides to just leave instead of restart entirely on a server like this. Will friendgroups or at least a good amount of people that have been playing and working together stick together and shine over others? certainly, but I doubt we are gonna have anything close to even 50 players out of any given group sticking together without issues.

This is why, despite the greatness of servers like these, personally, I resent them. There is little to no freedom to control with a frickton of rules to play under which is why I highly prefer No rules and No hacks servers in which everything is up to you. Mainly, Purity Vanilla as the biggest example or Uneasy Vanilla. But of course, It will come with downsides. While ruled servers are more organised and have a more intertwined and active community, lawless ones are small and often unactive. I still yearn for the day one of these servers gain mainstream attention so that full blown wars and discourse could happen over miles of lands and built nations upon a truly unruled and most importantly, no hack minecraft server.

I probably had my best and most fun moments defending my small peninsula nation in Rathnir (we lost) sad that its gonna be gone but also relieved

every time they update the server with something new my friends and i come back to it, but after a months or so it just gets boring again. i love the concept of this server, and i really hope that this helps make the server more fun

I wasnt on much myself, but for the little time I was on with my friends as we were under Ravenguard, it was a fun experience. Hopefully this new server will be as much if not a greater success than its predecessors.

i'm a bit late to the party but being there in person was really something, hearing the announcement was a pretty massive reveal but certainately the right place to do it and very memorable also Nice video and shots, the video was excellently made :)

This might explain why @RefFireRexRFR hasn't really done much for the Hiarlli Federation with all of the Ideas that I've been putting in the Comments section below his past couple of videos. He might still be Balancing KZread with whatever Schoolwork he might have on his plate, but he might also be Taking his time with this Announcement being released about Abexius and is just waiting to Implement them once Arriving on the New Server. Can we get some o7's in for Rathnir and Eldham, before they become Worlds for Minecraft versions of HoYoverse (which would probably be Stoneyverse)?

I've died, lived, and cried on this server, I even played with someone called iboxpostal on a rather nation called kaistollia (later changed to something else) in the town of meteora. I loved this server.

I like the idea of a new world for SW when I played the severs were mined out and the bigger map will allowed for more nations and more events to happen along with giving new players a chance to develop

I played a bit of stoneworks. It’s great in theory, and there’s lots to explore, but besides that it’s dead af. I just got my own pc too I had been waiting to play until then. The builds are cool, there’s a handful of ppl of usually on always. But all the city’s and land is just empty. It’s so desolate it’s depressing almost. Some of the cities are really cool and have some history. But a lot of the random structures are just unfinished random buildings with no history at all. A lot of ppl get interested in stonework’s but very very few ppl actually play it consistently enough for stonework’s to be worth playing anymore. It’s sad bc you can tell a lot of ppl used to love rathnir. Now it’s just a bunch of holes and empty buildings and random shit everywhere. I found the founder of a religion and even his town was empty, he was the only one there. It was peak hours too 5pm. It was really cool to see all the stuff they left behind though.

It doesn't help that it often feels like you hit several walls when you try to build up your own community due to people who try to force you to conform, and you can't do anything about it because they are absolutely decked out with enchanted netherite armour.

i had the server in my server list, getting used to seeing 200+ players online, but i noticed that it only had 30 players on which was super weird. this probably explains everything. not only is it not welcoming to new players, but i think this change probably lead to the death of the server. probably nobody rlly sees a point anymore in continuing if everything is going to be frozen. in addition to everything else thats been said. i was definitely one of the lucky ones when i first started. i made my far lands chunk thing in a country that was super chill, and people seemed to rlly like it too. im guessing most of the people who first joined didn't get a good experience.

Been ban from stoneworks for 3 to 2 years always tried to appeal but I guess administrative peoples don’t take second chances not worth spending money

I think there needs to be more done to keep things up to dates and there shouldn't be any issues for those who try to get on but I have tried and I got nothing it said I have to pay money to play which idk anything about and yet I have had offers who asked me to join there nation but how can anyone get on when so many get on and never enough room for others? as soon as you get that figured out then a new world is needed but until then I say keep fixing it and keep us waiting longer until there is absolute no need for any changes or that the current issues are fixed.

@Curvyfeets damn... one announcement of change, and all the tryhards leave out of spite... just yet another good reason for stoneworks to make damn sure each and every person is "up to code" so to speak. This new "world" will be their final chance to get the old magic of stoneworks back. But without players in the process... well, no sense starting a new world when no one is there to to claim land in the first place.

Lots of og's that left are returning for launch. Many just don't want to continue for it to just be archived. And I don't blame them. I still feel that the reset is a great asset and tool to regenerate the dead server.

Tried to get into stoneworks with a bunch of my friends, we took over an abandoned down and began building it up to create our own micro nation, started building intricate defences. Then mid way through some dickheads in full netherite came out of nowhere with elytra and one hit killed us all so we had to regather our inventories. Then after that we were confronted by some people who were part of the nation we were in and demanded for us to take down our walls, something we did not want to do. Then mid way through negotiations our nation leader is banned from the Discord because of something he apparently had in his profile bio but they refused to elaborate any further or let him back in even after he changed it. Safe to say we had a not so great experience, Anarchy servers have treated us better than we were treated here, good riddance.

I wish this could support Android.

So, in the end, I was indeed correct in my assessment of their enevitable fate. Rather , Eldham will not survive the test of time, which is an honestly bittersweet conclusion to a world trapped in over a year of stagnation & decay. Even though I was treated like absolute Dogshit by your own community, something I will never truly forgive for the rest of my days... I gotta say Stoney, I have to admit, I believe you have made a good call for its future. There needs to be a new, larger world to replace the stagnation of the world's that came before. It almost reminds me of my very crucial decision to carry on the Khordosai Project itself, for my project to continue, I had to make the difficult decision to Abandon Stoneworks in its entirety, so I can continue my worldbuilding project on my own terms. If literal children on a minecraft refuse to show their neighbors some proper respect, then I will seek to complete these ideas on my own terms. After all, the best kind of revenge is doing the complete opposite of the one who hurt you in the first place. But if this new world is going to survive, I urge you to consider the harsh lessions from Kylornes' Failure , so you can avoid the same mistakes that had robbed me and many others of a chance to Start over. For in truth, and something kylorne has taught me well, you only have one shot to get things right when it starts. Sure, I may have my gripes about the clearly nonexistent support I and many others got over the years, but the idea of stoneworks does offer some inspiration on its own. Because of this, I'll say one last thing before I leave Stoneworks to come to terms with its fate. Their chance to renew stoneworks is drawing near, and stoneybwill only have one final chance to get this right. Make it count, lest it suffers a very similar fate to kylorne.

My friends micro nation, which had around 6 people including myself, failed in a matter of weeks because of the narcissism and selfishness of players in Stoneworks, we were also unable to defy because of how insanely overpowered everyone was, and we were constantly harassed by raiders and bandits, and when we tried to build walls to protect against them the local governor got pissy and demanded us to take the walls down despite us explaining our issues. Truly not a great experience.

@spicycrusader I don't blame you. When Kylorne started, it was promising at first. The first couple of weeks, I remember fondly. Everything seemed to be going well... that was I ran into a certian someone that cause a whole bunch of ruckus on the server tudornef cough cough. Long story short, he used an edited screenshot to frame me for stealing 50k worth of goods, and he even got away with it doing the same thing to others. But me and some ex kylornics can relate to your issue. It was why it initially existed to give us a space to rp in relative peace away from the toxicity. I think the greatest mistake they could have made, and I brought up this concern, is it would have worked fine... if they sourced their participants from relatively new players. Its greatest mistake is that the staff made the insanely confusing decision to source the players from both Rathlam and Eldham. That alone would not have been the issue, assuming they did their background checks correctly. Even I understood why they did that... however, they never did their background checks at all it seemed, and that was how the toxic people got in and railroaded Kylorne in under 4 to 6 months flat by abusing the hell out of the Kylorne claim rules. It was scrapped a year into its lifetime due to having been reduced to a handful of players from the damage they had done... those like Coffeecubus have very good reason to despise stoneworks now, due to the staffs' clear inability to stop its downfall in time. They had their best chance to bring back the old magic of stoneworks, and they somehow still blew it, despite their best efforts. Those like myself are understandably still bitter over this. It is a Shame, but you can't change the past, but this is why I am a bit concerned for the longevity of this new world. It is an ambitious and bold decision, yes, but I can confirm from the experience that bringing metagamers of any sort into an rp environment is surefire recipe for disaster. I will be observing its progress carefully later to see if it's indeed worth my time. If this new world falters like Kylorne... I don't know how stoneworks is gonna be able to recover from that. History will enevitably repeat itself if they are not careful in how they approach this. Spoiler alert: I'm 85% certain it will fail, but I still can be proven wrong

I used to be an admin and I pushed for months to try and push the server culture to a smaller, RP oriented thing on the same vein as Jagdas. Talking with Coffee and the rest of A-V was a definite inspiration, although I did also take a lot of notes from the breakaway RP servers (despite their many flaws). I quit the staff team and left the server right before Kylorne launched - although it was good in principle, it was a failure on my part to reform the server culture as a whole (To note, I had no part in the Kylorne application process, I was merely an advocate for an increased RP focus serverwide). I actually opposed the creation of Kylorne due to it being an enclosure for RP which would only damage Rathnir and Eldham's RP communities. Knowing of Kylorne's failure now, my concerns have definitely been realized - the admissions process was painfully below par - write 500 words of ok-ish backstory and you're in. I partially blame myself for accepting such compromises, but I was one admin out of a dozen - I didn't have the leverage to push so hard for RP and I suspect I was somewhat marginalized due to my association with Coffee Being out of the community completely for a good year and a half has definitely allowed me to reflect on things. Stoneworks was an important part of my life, especially during lockdown. However, I don't think I'll be returning. It was an extremely toxic community, which only grew worse as time went on, and I witnessed the continual downfall of worldbuilding and roleplay which wasn't being pushed by staff. I'll probably observe this new world from afar for a couple months to see how the community redevelops, but I don't have high hopes.

@johnroach9026 I don't blame you for your sentiment, John. In my case, I do have a unique opportunity later to see whenever or not the community is worth my time. I will not say much, but I'm in cahoots with a group that found themselves intrigued by stoneworks itself, so I will have an opportunity to be able to not only have a hands-on approach to my observations, but to see if the group I am part of can somehow adapt to the culture of stoneworks itself. They are of the anarchic variety, so if any group is capable of surviving long-term in stoneworks, my money is on the group I'm gonna be with soon in March. If they are unable to do so, the I can clearly confirm that stoneworks is truly a lost cause. Sometimes, you have to see the state of things for yourself personally before you make any major decision. I like to think of this as an excursion to see how far the community has truly fallen. I guess I'm about to find out soon.... wish me luck, I guess?
