The emperor knew exactly what he was doing, he knew that she wasn't a vicious woman he wanted her for himself. He knew Fu Heng wanted to marry Weilou

I hate the Emperor for stealing his girl.

Even tho, ying luo and the emperor has a happy ending, i still prefer fu heng and ying luo 😣

就像劇終皇上說的 他是皇帝不懂什麼是愛情 所以他就算喜歡上魏瓔珞 身為君王不能有愛情要雨露均沾 他也不想承認自己愛上魏瓔珞 才會這麼迂迴

因為乾隆沒有遇過像魏瓔珞這麼有個性、這麼讓人捉摸不定的女人，甚至敢挑戰他。乾隆不自覺被魏瓔珞吸引但又不想承認對她有好感，潛意識大男人主義作祟想要征服魏瓔珞，於是才會有一連串對她的刁難。但乾隆也在這樣的過程中慢慢正視自己對魏瓔珞的心意，從原本想要征服一個女人，到最後是自己被征服。整部劇我的感想是這樣，很基本的愛情心理學，女人都該學魏瓔珞。

'According to Yingluo's personality, she would rather go through life or death with you together. Do you know? Since the moment you nod your head, she will never forgive you.' I think this line right here shows why Fuheng & Yingluo could never be together. On the surface, the Emperor disallowing their marriage out of a selfish, unacknowledged desire to keep Yingluo for himself DID keep them apart, but that's only a physical distance. Yingluo is a selfish girl; she knows it, and she sure as Hell makes it clear to others, including Fuheng. She's got goals to accomplish, things that need to be settled, and if she has to cut people out of her life in order to get things done, then that's what she'll do. Fuheng doesn't work like that, he just doesn't. She told him about her sister and her plans for revenge, and he told the Empress & Emperor; he promised he'd wait for her to let go of her grudges to be with him, then married Erqing. The actions he took to protect her trampled over the very person he fell in love with, and it's a massive disrespect to her. Another massive indicator that their romance wasn't meant to be is when he found out Yingluo became the Emperor's concubine. I felt bad for him, but what was he thinking? He really expected her to just sit around and wait, knowing that she'd NEVER do something so passive. She's got things to do; she doesn't have time to do nothing. It's why she & the Emperor work out as a strong, married couple. They're both similar to each other, and there's a respect & understanding that really isn't present with Fuheng & she. That's my personal take. The Emperor still sucks, but I can't 100% place blame on him for the relationship not working out.
