There are a lot of emotions that accompany a hospital admission... here’s a glimpse into our day yesterday as Mary got settled in here at the hospital. Thank you all for you love & support!

I feel like they both are. I have a chronic illness, very different to Mary’s and I often get really short with people because I’m ill and tired and often so done. So I feel like it would take a lot on Mary’s part to work really hard on their relationship too. They’re so perfect for each other and I’m so happy they have each other. Peter is a huge supporter. They are both so strong ☺️

Oh Mary, my heart breaks for you. Peter, you are such a fantastically supportive husband. Praying for you both.

It feels so lonely when you have to go in and out of hospital, I think it's very hard. When you just want to get well enough to walk the pooch and enjoy the sun on your face. Mary you are amazing, good luck, hope it's not too long before you get home. ☀️

Hospital admissions SUCK!! Period. There's no other way to put it. But I absolutely LOVE your positivity & strength through it all! I (and I'm sure so many others who have lifelong medical conditions) draw off your strength & positivity. So thank you for being you (and Peter too)!

Poor Mary. I've been sick enough that I was puking in the sink and peed my pants, and then ended up with explosive diarrhea to immediately follow. It was horrible! I was 12 (21yrs ago) and I still remember. I hope you feel better!!

Mary my heart is with you. Keep remembering that you will be well soon and back in your cozy little room recovering before you know it. Maybe Peter could take a picture of that cozy room and have a 5 x 7 made for you and you could keep it by your bed. Know that I'm praying for you everyday. Thinking of both of you often. I stumbled on your channel a few days ago. I have never known anyone with CF so I know nothing about it, but it sounds horrific for you. Know that I am praying for the 3 of you (Ollie included!). Just keep the Lord close with you. BTW... when Ollie retires, will you keep him? He looks incredible and very much a part of your pack.

Hold on, Ms Mary!. We've got you, and are holding you in our hearts and thoughts.

I have never wanted to just go through the screen and just hug someone so badly as I did when you were crying. Hang in there and you are doing what you can for what you have been dealt with. Praying for you.

Love you both, as does God. ❤️ Whenever someone's feeling extra-bad and has to go to the hospital, or if I need to go myself, I like to read Psalm 121, especially as written in the "Psalms in the metre of David" book that I have. Here's the full text: "I to the hills will lift mine eyes, from whence doth come mine aid. My safety cometh from the Lord, who heaven and earth hath made. Thy foot he'll not let slide, nor will he slumber that thee keeps. Behold, he that keeps Israel, he slumbers not, nor sleeps. // The Lord thee keeps, the Lord thy shade on thy right hand doth stay, The moon by night thee shall not smite, nor yet the sun by day. The Lord shall keep thy soul; he shall preserve thee from all ill. Henceforth thy going out and in. LOL @ the frog story. When I was young I had a cat that followed me everywhere. She brought me her prey. This is kind of creepy but funny. The mice were always dead so I would bury them under our porch that was 8 feet high. I created a tiny mouse cemetery and would make crosses out of Popsicle sticks and put "Mouse 1", " Mouse 2" etc... I had a sign that read "Mouse Cemetery" Hahaha! My brother found it one day and he ran in to tell my parents. Hahaha! He was 4 years older than me and was like "OMG Mori is burying mice under our porch with Popsicle sticks and has a sign that says "Mouse Cemetery" Make her stop!" My parents giggled and said to leave it alone. LOL Hope that made you laugh Mary. LOL Life is full of funny moments. (BTW I later did the same out of Lego on my dresser with friends pictures who died and his reaction was the same. BOL)

tonya hemer There are no dumb questions, only dumb answers. Instead of lashing out, try to educate. Odds are not everyone is familiar with CF and maybe the person who commented was unaware. I agree with what everyone else said here, we never know when our time is up. For all we know, it could be over tomorrow.
