The Holistic Soul in an emergent universe, time still exists and moves towards entropy so anything material would still experience time, and as a result cause and effect and would also need to survive and reproduce in that environment. I’m not certain it points to a god or at least what we would recognize as god, but it does point to the idea that our brains didn’t evolve to take in the totality of reality but only enough to survive and that we should be thankful that science and mathematics have been able to uncover as much as they have, and will continue to uncover more in the future, without deluding ourselves to think that we will ever be able to grasp everything or even know how to view everything we do know. Embrace the mystery basically

@@joegibbskins The problem is that when you grapple with all these arguments for god ie kalam, moral, consciousness they can swerve you either way to theism or atheism. @@joegibbskins If, moreover, naturalism is correct (however implausible that is), and if consciousness is then an essentially material phenomenon, then there is no reason to believe that our minds, having evolved purely through natural selection, could possibly be capable of knowing what is or is not true about reality as a whole. Our brains may necessarily have equipped us to recognize certain sorts of physical objects around us and enabled us to react to them; but, beyond that, we can assume only that nature will have selected just those behaviors in us most conducive to our survival, along with whatever structures of thought and belief might be essentially or accidentally associated with them, and there is no reason to suppose that such structures-even those that provide us with our notions of what constitutes a sound rational argument-have access to any abstract “truth” about the totality of things. This yields the delightful paradox that, if naturalism is true as a picture of reality, it is necessarily false as a philosophical precept; for no one’s belief in the truth of naturalism could correspond to reality except through a shocking coincidence (or, better, a miracle)

I cant quite put my finger on it For years I've been such a staunch atheist or an atheist of sorts. Never a doubt in my mind that there can be no possibility of a god for any number of reasons. But recently, I just find this evidence so... appealing. It's not to say I believe in a god (or dont for that matter) but rather, the idea just continues to seem more and more... real. And your videos have played a big role in this. Used to I'd have written all this off as mindless dribble, psuedoscience, or just the ramblings of someone trying to convert But now it feels so genuine. So thought out and meticulous. So sincere. I can't just deny it. And even find myself believing it. Am I a Christian? No. Am I an atheist? I cant in good faith say that anymore. I dont know what is true, what is real, or what is possible anymore. And I have you in part to thank for finally coming around and exiting my "intellectually superior" bubble.

@playingwithdimethylcadmium2766 if I am getting this video right, the implications is that the basis of reality as we know it is emergent from a supreme consciousness or intelligence that exists beyond the physical and observable universe. Not sure how that proves atheism if it quantum consciousness proves there's an intelligence behind all life as we know it, just genuinely curious as all.

I mean the flat earthers make no sence because even a holographic universe would still support all aspects of physics, The flat earth would just be a joke and a slap in the face to any hopes of a natural world. If you believe in flat earth then you believe in a created world that dosent fit the rest of the universe, and you are closer to believing in the holographic principle, basically you believe in the matrix. Although even the matrix or holographic principles still support a round earth.

The Law myoho-renge-kyo represents the identity of what some scientists refer to as the ‘unified field of all consciousnesses’. In other words, it’s a sound vibration that is the essence of all of existence and non-existence, the ultimate creative force behind planets, stars, nebulae, people, animals, trees, fish, birds, and all phenomena, manifest or latent. All matter and intelligence are simply waves or ripples manifesting to and from this core source. Consciousness (enlightenment) is itself the true creator of everything that is, ever was and ever will be, right down to the minutest particles of dust, each being an individual ripple or wave. The big difference between chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo and most other conventional prayers is that instead of depending on a ‘middleman’ to connect us to our state of enlightenment, we’re able to do it ourselves by tapping directly into it by way of self-produced sound vibration. On the subject of ‘Who or What Is God?’, when we compare the concept of ‘God’, as a separate entity that is forever watching down on us, to Nichiren’s teachings, the true omnipotence, omniscience and omnipresence of what most people call ‘God’ is our enlightenment, which exists nowhere else but within us. When the disciples asked Jesus where the Kingdom of God is, didn’t he tell them that it was within them? Some say that ‘God’ is an entity that can never be seen. I think that the vast amount of information that is constantly being conveyed via electromagnetic waves gives us proof of how an invisible state of ‘God’ could actually exist. It’s widely known that certain data being relayed by way of electromagnetic waves has the potential to help bring about extraordinary and powerful effects, including instant global awareness of something or mass emotional reaction. As well as many other things, it’s also common knowledge that these waves can easily be used to detonate a bomb or to even enable NASA to control the movements of a robot as far away as the Moon or Mars. However, none of this is possible without a receiver to decode the information that is being transmitted. Without the receiver, the information would remain impotent. In a very similar way, it’s important for us to have our ‘receiver’ switched on so that we can activate a clear and precise understanding of our life, all other life and what we and all else that exists truly is. Chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo helps us to achieve this because it allows us to reach into the core of our enlightenment and switch it on. That’s because the sound vibration of myoho-renge-kyo represents the combination of the three major laws that underlie all existence. Myoho represents the Law of latency and manifestation (Nature) and consists of two alternating states. One state of myo is where everything in life that’s not obvious to us exists. This includes our stored memories when we’re not thinking about them, our hidden potential and inner emotions whenever they’re not being expressed, our desires, our fears, our wisdom, happiness, karma, and more importantly, our enlightenment. The other state, ho, is where everything in Life exists whenever it becomes obvious to us, such as when a thought pops up from within our memory, whenever we experience or express our emotions, or whenever a good or bad effect manifests from our karma. When anything becomes apparent, it simply means that it has come out of the state of ‘myo’ (dormancy/latency) and into a state of ho (manifestation). It’s simply the difference between consciousness and unconsciousness, being awake or asleep, or knowing and not knowing something. The second law, renge, governs and controls the functions of myoho, ren meaning cause and ge meaning effect. The two laws of myoho and renge, both functions together simultaneously, as well as underlies all spiritual and physical existence. The final and third part of the tri-combination, kyo, is what allows the law myoho to be able to integrate with the law renge. It’s the great, invisible thread of energy that fuses and connects together all Life and matter, as well as the past, present and future. It is often termed the Universal Law of Communication. Perhaps it could even be compared to the string theory that some scientists now suspect exists. Just as our body cells, thoughts, feelings and all else are constantly fluctuating within us, everything in the world around us and beyond is also in a constant state of flux, in accordance with these three laws. In fact, more things are going back and forth between the two states of myo and ho in a single moment than it would ever be possible for us to calculate or describe. And it doesn't matter how big or small, important or trivial that anything may appear to be, everything that’s ever existed in the past exists now or will exist in the future, exists only because of the workings of myoho-renge-kyo. These three laws are also the basis of the four fundamental forces and if they didn't function, neither we nor anything else could go on existing. Simply put, all forms of existence, including the seasons, day and night, birth, death and so on, are all moving forward in an ongoing flow of continuation, rhythmically reverting back and forth between the two universal states of myo and ho in absolute accordance with renge and by way of kyo. Even stars are dying and being reborn in accordance with the workings of what the combination myoho-renge-kyo represents. Nam, or Namu, on the other hand, is a password or a key; it allows us to reach deep into our life and fuse with or become one with myoho-renge-kyo. On a more personal basis, nothing ever happens by chance or coincidence, it’s the causes that we’ve made in our past, or are presently making, that determine how these laws function uniquely in each of our lives from moment to moment, as well in our environment. By facing east, in harmony with the direction that the Earth is turning, and rhythmically chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo for a minimum of ten minutes daily, anyone can experience actual proof of its positive effects in their life. In so doing, we can pierce through even the thickest layers of our karma and activate our Buddha Nature (the enlightened state). We’re then able to summon forth the wisdom needed to challenge, overcome and change our negative circumstances into positive ones. It brings forth the wisdom that can free us from the ignorance and stupidity that is preventing us from accepting and being proud of the person that we truly are, regardless of our race, colour, gender or sexual preference. We are also able to see and understand our circumstances and an environment more clearly, as well as attract and connect with any needed external beneficial forces and situations. Actual proof soon becomes apparent to anyone who chants the words Nam-myoho-renge-kyo on a regular daily basis. Everything is subject to the law of Cause and Effect, so the strength of the result from chanting depends on dedication, sincerity and determination. To explain it more simply, the difference could be compared to making a sound on a piano, creating a melody, or producing a song and so on. NB: There are frightening, disturbing sounds and there are tranquil and relaxing sounds. It's the emotional result from any sound that can trigger off a mood or even instantly change one. When chanting Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo each day you are producing a sound vibration that is the password to your true inner-self - this soon becomes apparent when you start reassessing your views on various things, such as your fears and desires etc. The important way to get the best result when chanting is not to see things in a conventional way (difficult to achieve but can be done), rather than reaching out to an external source, you need to reach into your own life and bring your needs and desires to fruition from within, including any help that you may need. Think of it as a seed within you that you are bringing sunshine and water to in order for it to grow, blossom and bring forth fruit or flowers. It’s important to understand that everything that we need in life, all the answers and potential to achieve our dreams, already exist within us. kzread.info/dash/bejne/aHeOkrqDobq4opc.html OLIVIA NEWTON-JOHN sings about Nam-myoho-renge-kyo

That's basically my thought on it and why it seems there has been a leap of faith to reach the required conclusion. If you explain my mind and the rest of the universe by claiming a cosmic intelligence, then what explains that cosmic intelligence ? It's a fundamental $1M question that religion has no real explanation for, so neither will this. Similarity doesn't mean same. It'd be interesting to watch a debate between knowledgeable believers and skeptics of this rather than hear one side alone.

@@nickolasgaspar9660 Lol, you start poisoning the well when you name this as a crackpot idea. Regarding what you said: *we are people with existential anxieties and we need those comforting ideas.* You are trying to dismiss a belief appealing to the genetic fallacy. The origing of the belief even if it is that, don´t make that belief false. *We know that our biology comes with an expiration date and that is a really huge "pill" to swallow!.cheers.* Nice wisdom, I am 100% sure you have read Shermer, Dawkins, Sean Carroll, Jerry Coyne and so on. I can summarize atheism in three simple quotes: The Astonishing Hypothesis is that “You,” your joys and your sorrows, your memories and your ambitions, your sense of personal identity and free will, are in fact no more than the behavior of a vast assembly of nerve cells and their associated molecules. Francis Crick Here is mine: The Astonishing Hypothesis is that your atheism is in fact no more than the behavior of a vast assembly of nerve cells and their associated molecules. Atheism is based upon a materialist philosophy, which holds that nothing exists but natural phenomena. There are no supernatural forces or entities, nor can there be any. Nature simply exists. Madalyn Murray O'Hair I challenge you to justify moral responsability, decissions and even your choice of being an atheist from a materialistic, reductionistic, deterministic point of view without playing the mental mansturbation of Dennett´s or Dillanhunty´s compatibilism. But wait! Just remember this: We may regard the present state of the universe as the effect of its past and the cause of its future. An intellect which at a certain moment would know all forces that set nature in motion, and all positions of all items of which nature is composed, if this intellect were also vast enough to submit these data to analysis, it would embrace in a single formula the movements of the greatest bodies of the universe and those of the tiniest atom; for such an intellect nothing would be uncertain and the future just like the past would be present before its eyes. - Pierre Simon Laplace, A Philosophical Essay on Probabilities and this: Physics is based on the idea that nature is mechanistic, which means that it works like a machine. A machine is just a system, and therefore, by definition, it is a collection of elements, each of them with a specific, possibly different function, all working together to achieve a specific purpose, general to the whole machine. If we believe in the Big Bang Theory - and the universe’s continuous expansion is a strong indication that such theory must be correct - the initial state of the universe was a single point (known as a singularity) that then expanded to the cosmos we know and perceive today, which, of course, includes us… If so, there is a causal relationship between the Big Bang and us. In other words, free will is not allowed, and all of our actions (as a way of example: killing you) are just a mere consequence of that first event. Such a view is known as “determinism”, or “super-determinism” (if one finds it productive to reinvent the wheel). Free will is an inevitable illusion for us humans, due to our subjective perception of the universe, rather than its innermost nature. Source: cosmosmagazine.com/physics/does-free-will-exist-in-the-universe-that-would-be-a-no Remember also this: Determinism: The world is governed by (or is under the sway of) determinism if and only if, given a specified way things are at a time t, the way things go thereafter is fixed as a matter of natural law. Source: plato.stanford.edu/entries/determinism-causal/#EpiDet and even Sam Harris accepts that althought he doesn´t accept that is irrational to talk on morality from an atheistic perspective: Compatibilism amounts to nothing more than an assertion of the following creed: A puppet is free as long as he loves his strings.” - Sam Harris Enjoy the wisdom of Dawkins: We are machines built by DNA whose purpose is to make more copies of the same DNA. ... This is exactly what we are for. We are machines for propagating DNA, and the propagation of DNA is a self-sustaining process. It is every living object's sole reason for living. The total amount of suffering per year in the natural world is beyond all decent contemplation. During the minute that it takes me to compose this sentence, thousands of animals are being eaten alive, many others are running for their lives, whimpering with fear, others are slowly being devoured from within by rasping parasites, thousands of all kinds are dying of starvation, thirst, and disease. It must be so. If there ever is a time of plenty, this very fact will automatically lead to an increase in the population until the natural state of starvation and misery is restored. In a universe of electrons and selfish genes, blind physical forces and genetic replication, some people are going to get hurt, other people are going to get lucky, and you won't find any rhyme or reason in it, nor any justice. The universe that we observe has precisely the properties we should expect if there is, at bottom, no design, no purpose, no evil, no good, nothing but pitiless indifference.” And don´t delude yourself on thinking your life is purposeful and has any meaning. Cheers!

It's in all the spiritual texts in some form or another. But this is still very exciting because for the first time in known history we have tools like science and technology that can study it in detail and what could come from that could be beyond our wildest imagination. If we get a handle on this it could usher in a new era in human history that goes beyond our most fanciful science fiction. Maybe the future is not robots and neon lights at all, maybe it's something completely new, a new way of experiencing existence for all of us. Maybe for the first time will we stop trying to go back to the mysterious source from which we came and instead embrace life in certain knowledge that the future is bright. Imagine if you never had to study those spiritual texts or spend countless hours in meditation or learn quantum physics to understand the nature of reality, what if instead it was something that was obvious to every first grader? The possibilities would be limitless, it could make our current era look like the dark ages. And I for one find that very exciting.

After 250 years, Immanuel Kant's Transcendental Idealism turns out to be the only viable explanation. What a shattering revelation that determinists and reductionists desperately try to subvert. In the process, they made physics and cosmology laughable venues where ridiculous notions and fantasies run amok under the pretense of explaining reality. The only remaining option is that the underlying substrate of reality is a metaphysics that is inaccessible to anything else but the correctly reasoning mind.

Thank you Jan-Peter. Apparently it takes as unbiased, lucid and clear-reasoning a mind as Kant's to logically arrive at noumena as the underlying transcendental substrate of all "material things", especially given that we only have access to the appearances of "things-as-they-are-in-themselves" for simply being trapped in our individual minds wherefrom we can only thence assess the whole of reality. The coincidence with 20th Century Quantum Mechanics only further demonstrates the success of Kant's far-reaching introspection. The staunch refusal by monists, materialists, and determinist reductionists in rejecting outright these QM and Kantian conclusions - aside from the inescapability of discovering "an Ultimate Creator" as envisioned especially by the "Abrahamic religions" - merits a seperate psychological study. It's most likely just a new fad and a trendy topic to be a deist or an atheist since the past few decades. On the other hand, I imagine some deep-seated psychosis dominates the needy to clutch to a "super-determinist monist cosmos" for such a mind's utter failure to reconcile "clock-work perfection" in a universe with "human free-will and culpability". Probably this has something to do with the faulty mind's inability to grasp "meaning, purpose, and accountability" in what that mind inclines to believe to be "senselessness and meaninglessness". Dysfunctional minds opting for determinism or super-determinism to feel better about themselves co-existing side by side with minds that are sure of the facts of choice, meaning, purpose, and accountability is even more proof for a transcendentally metaphysical truth than the other way around.

Everything that “just happened” is all the information contained within light. Light is a sort of book or accountant of everything. This is why we can’t see into the quantum field. It is the potential only. But once it happened… It is now recorded into the light of the universe.

Exactly. I-Am/Consciousness is literally what virtual physicality is made of. Infinite consciousness becomes experiences in accordance with information encoded by the brain, and together they form the illusion of a physical world, in the same way the pure white light in a cinema can become any movie in accordance with information encoded by the film reel. Religious Christianity got it totally wrong. They think God is an old, bearded avatar sitting on a throne somewhere far away, when He's actually Being/Existence itself. And there's only one Being ultimately, who is reality. All other beings are merely extensions of the universal great I-Am (Source).

  • @jonyxy777

    @jonyxy777

    4 жыл бұрын

@Groaty McOats Christianity is not necessarily the same as the Bible. I didn't say the Bible got it wrong, I said religious Christianity got it wrong. They tend to think that there's God over on one side, and he's typically a male avatar, and there's a real physical world over on the other side. In other words, they are dualistic in their thinking - there's mind/spirit and matter - there are two separate substances. And God created it in a way similar to, say, the way a human creates a house, by using a separate substance, say, wood, failing to realize God can't possibly do that because there's nothing other than God, so any creation it creates can only be made out of itself - spirit. On a side note, technically, God should be referred to using the pronoun 'it', because God has no gender, since it's not a creature and has no avatar/body; it's pure being/spirit. I guess the Bible uses the masculine pronoun to refer to God because it's the source of spirits, and in creation it's the father that's the real source of a child because he provides the seed.

I believe that everyone from David Bohm to Helena Blavatsky to Plotinus to the Hermeticists to the earliest Vedic Hindus who recognized Advaita Vedanta- the “coincidencia oppositorum,” the unity of opposites or the principle of polarity- have been on the right track for millennia, originally probably based on little more than their own personal mystical experiences, & that now science is validating the mystical worldview... Its just astounding to me. I’ve suspected it in some form or another since I was maybe 15 years old, but it has taken me a decade to develop the frame of reference to sensibly model & begin to truly understand the utterly unbelievable nature of reality. So many threads are converging right now. It’s synchronous that I found this video tonight at all. What a moment to be alive. I hope anyone who reads this will recognize that we are different manifestations of one & the same being, & that’s all there is. 😉

I haven’t read all the comments, but has anyone pointed out the fact that the universe is based on conscience is the main point of the oldest religion of all times? Hinduism in essence says that (in metaphorical sense) the universe is the “dream” of Brahma, the ultimate conscious entity that’s basically from where all the universes emerge and collapse. So, long story short, physicists are discovering now what has already known to humanity around 10000 years ago by meditation and instrospection. Wow.

Daniel Nank no you really can't. If by some miracle the conclusion were true, its still derived from false premesises. Like when church's began spreading hygiene advice after noticing their plague patients and war injured soldiers had higher survival rates, when they decided to use local spring water, and changed their bedding. They had no idea about infections, but their practices still produced positive results.

I'd say yes, and that emergent space time would suggest a higher consciousness that operates similarly to the perception of a mind. Which would hit an omnipresent God nail on the head and maybe explain why so many people have life reviews from their own/others perception during NDE's. Bc we are connected through the emergent consciousness. Imo. Just an idea.

The basic premise of religion is that there is more to reality than what meets the eye. This point was proven a 100 years back. All praise belongs to the One who created this beautiful reality!

Materialism and Idealism are unfalsifiable philosophical views. this means that they can not be falsified. I suggest to choose a more credible source for your education on what we know through science about the world. I don't say that you should quit your Worldview. I only point out that you are receiving zero scientific information and tones of pseudo philosophical conclusions.

The emerging evidence that our exterior reality more and more reflects the interior structure of our minds is hardly surprising. We are bound to view the universe as one giant mirror reflecting back at us our own image. However to extrapolate from that ideas such as that nothing happens unless it is observed by someone is silly. I suggest that a more useful conclusion would be that the emerging view of the universe should be viewed as representative of what is the ultimate common ground between us which is just about everything, thereby escaping from the selfish subjectivity towards a cohesive and shared view of our world where we are all dependent on (entangled with) one another.

I would drink deeper; fish in the sky, whose bottom is pebbly with stars. I cannot count one. I know not the first letter of the alphabet. I like this video as it gives rise to a lot of interesting thoughts. However, I do feel like you are mixing a lot of theories to end up concluding that we and all around us are the product of a higher mind. I strongly believe that spacetime is an emergent phenomena of quantum entangled networks of elementary particles. But this does not necessarily mean that the true underlying nature of our existance is 2D or stated in the holographic principle theory. The holographic principle was originated from the information paradox theoretical physicists were struggling with understanding what happens with matter falling beneath the event horizon of a black hole. You connect quantum entanglement with this 2D universe. Why couldn’t be a 5D world in which space and time as we feel, observe and know it are obsolete? Just like the holographic universe? One thing is for sure and that is ‘spooky action at a distance’ is real, but we can not even comprehend what a world without our definitions of space and time would look like. Furthermore, you refer to microtubuli in neurons and quickly dive into the phenomenon of quantum tunneling. You are correct that more evidence is piling up that these structures in neurons play an important role when it comes in our understanding what memory or consciousness really is. Tubulines play indeed an important role building neural dendrites in- or decreasing the neural membrane potential. On top of this the tubulines network has some remembrance as it is defined by the nature of the binding strength of these small proteins making up the total of microtubuli structure of a neuron. You may compare this with a memristor. This process is at the base of synaptogenesis and neuroplasticity. From this micro and molecular point of view, consciousness is just an emergent effect from the nature how our individual neurons are constantly changing its dendritic network to be more or less sensitive for electrical current. What some physicists simply state as “just some firing of neurons”. All these individual neurons can form circuits with neurons from other parts of the brain to form memories, rewarding behavior and even a conscience. I like your comparison of galaxies and the neural networks (circuits) in a human brain. The thing is that humans and all matter in the universe all obey the same set of ‘rules’. Even like structures could be seen everywhere. Golden ratio and fractals are on the same page. For me comparing neural networks and galaxies as if it is the evidence of a master mind is the same as saying darwin,’s evolution is the language how God made life and us, human beings.

    a) So modern neuroscience and physics have become open-minded enough to discover 'the perennial philosophy', first started by original Hinduism (c. 2000 BC, as far as I'm aware). 'It is not WHAT the eye can see, but THAT WHEREBY the eye CAN see; know this to be Brahma the Spirit, and not what men here on Earth adore. 'It is not WHAT the hand can touch, but THAT WHEREBY the hand CAN touch; know this to be Brahma the Spirit, and not what men here on Earth adore. 'It is not WHAT the mind can think, but THAT WHEREBY the mind CAN think; know this to be Brahma the Spirit, and not what men here on Earth adore.'

Do I understand correctly then that some of these details may not have physically existed before these pictures could be taken? Were they waveform before because they were unobservable? Or did I get this wrong? If so, please help me to understand what I don't understand properly.
