@@adamlemons7674 Had to look it up. Different traditions have some contradictions. Believing in all seems weird. The question might be: do we believe in a tradition or in what the traditions refer to? Possibly many refer to the same thing (such is my understanding) and understanding the message is what really matters. Each tradition will probably offer “more than nothing” helpful and it’s unlikely any will offer “100% of the answers” or “get 100% right”. I saw contradictions between definitions so I can’t tell which one you’re using. Hope this helps 👍🏼

From my experience - as above so below is how we rise to connect to the one universal mind (God) to access his divine gifts - this is the realm I would access to gain direct insight for somebody (yes that's right mediums speak to God, not dead people as most presume) as a last said in an earlier comment, this is the process of the trinity and for those who deny or do not accept the trinity and look at this concept with mere intellect, they will never uncover the spiritual meaning - alas the casting of pearls before swine - if you cannot understand the 7 hermetic principles - this indicates you have some work to do and are still caught unconscious within the Maya - we can also fall back into this state however, with personal revelation, you always have the wisdom to rise back up - it's the external influences and heavy properganda from EVERY level that betrayea the mind of man - once u tear down that veil - you can transmute ANY situation into whatever outcome you so desire....... mental into gold - the substance of natural resources is FAR more valuable than ANY gold and thus being the irony of what is learned along the journey As a man thinketh - thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven - modern updates 😘

My interpretation of, "as above, so below" is that a person can make their own heaven on earth. They don't have to wait until they die to be in heaven.

This is almost correct, but Hermeticism is a monist philosophy, there is no hard disconnection between what happens on earth and what happens in the "spiritual realm" because the latter informs the former. Physical manifestations are all infusions of both substance and essence, and essence is tantamount to a universal form a la Plato. Hermeticism is a middle-platonist philosophy, not suuuper ancient, it's a synthesis of Aristotelianism and Neo-Platonism, so you have to understand things in a similar light to Aristotle's hylomorphism and entelechy. "As above, so below" is called the principle of correspondence, it's simply a poetic way of explaining entelechy, or the procession of manifested things outward from a combination of undifferentiated substance and matter. This is the reason why things can be transmuted through alchemy. As Agrippa explains, astral forces act on a "world spirit" to differentiate the metals, and this differentiating essence can be manipulated in order to change the influences acting on the metals to transmute them. You could modify the spiritual influences over lead such that it could turn into gold, for example, because what happens to the spirit of a thing changes its physical form due to the principle of correspondence. So basically, one is able to attain a transcendent spiritual state through transmutation of the self, in a similar way one would transmute metals. Transmutation of metals itself is actually a path to this, because as the alchemist operates on metals, he also operates on himself. If he succeeds in creating gold, he gains an "immortal body" and can never truly die, even after he loses his physical body.

I think it's an early articulation of the idea that our universe has a "source code", and that we may be able to know and manipulate things according to a structure that is universally ultimate and not as drastically spontaneous as we once believed. This likely led to the idea of science.

Ego and Higher-Self as one but not with perfection seen as an absolute good but as a perfect balance working in tandem with one another. Realizing that all we hate about ourselves is just as important as all we consider good. Making peace with the good, the bad and the ugly that makes us whole and dropping the trappings of these human concepts and seeking to become whole through purpose. Matching that vibration and frequency which binds all things together yet in reality is what keeps them apart. Dropping the dualistic concepts in which we navigate this 3D reality and aligning more with the nature of purpose. There is an unspoken knowledge that comes in the form of a knowing that will open perpetual doors aligning with a given objective on the path. Once that is gained you won’t have to move mountains, the mountains already know to move! That Divine path we all walk in and out of as our vibrations seek to align is what’s the most difficult to grasp with a continuous hold while being on this physical plane of existence. The frequencies of the multitude of distractions that we endure day in and day out unknowingly keep us from our goal. Some distractions are by our own hand and we love and enjoy them but a distraction nevertheless. I look forward to the day when the process is complete because it already is so, so I’m enjoying living in it and not just through it for the goal has already been reached. How to get to this level?

I had a legitimate spiritual experience watching this. This was a catalyst for it. The next step along the journey. It was part of the process that continues to unfold in life. It took me almost an hour to get through this video. I had to pause and go back many times to look within for things to become more clear. The words of the tablet are like this video, and this comment. Merely a catalyst for people to look within and ask themselves "why?" then "how?". I had a "conversation" with "myself". However, it felt more like a dialogue. The answers weren't always in words, but they could be transcribed into words with some effort and creativity. Still, it was all too much to truly convey here so that someone who hadn't experienced it could understand firsthand just from reading this. The words themselves hold no power or meaning without the context of the experience. They were like placeholders or reminders for the true depth and scope of the concepts they tried to convey. Words are not those things themselves. One would need more than a dictionary to apprehend their true power, as they themselves have no inherent power without the conscious awareness of being. The words are like the actions and creations they're intended to inspire. They hold the awareness and expression of "being" together. This is an ongoing process that didn't stop with any of these great philosophers and magicians. It doesn't stop with any of us. The whole point of a life is to continue the process of being through conscious awareness and expression. To bring the concepts, ideas, awareness, power, and process of "above", "below". To change these higher truths into "earth", in which their power may become "perfect". To continue in the merging of "above" and "below" into "the one" from which they both came in an infinite process of creation. This is an ongoing process that must continue in order for "being" to continue and evolve in it's emergence. The process IS "being". The human mind and body is the alchemical vessel. I'm well aware of how nonsensical these words may sound to those who don't look within to truly contemplate their meaning. Much like that of the tablet, these words require the conscious awareness and contemplation of "being" to take on meaning and power. I, myself, might read them back later and find that the profundity and power that previously embodied them has left. They were merely partners with the experience of the concepts they were meant to record and convey. The power is in yourself. Your mind, body, and spirit. All wise words will tell you to look within to see beyond yourself. They are anchors, like the creation we take part in with our being, for what is above. What is above cannot continue without roots in that which is below. Nor can what is below manifest without that which is above. They are connected by the source of all creation. The one. Together, we take part in the great divine "see-saw" of "being". The greatest obstacle to living your life with this purpose is fear. If you can live consciously and find a way to overcome your fear while maintaining the highest possible level of discernment and purpose, you will achieve in life the goal of "being", so that it may continue, above and below. Update: This was a pretty "raw" comment I made right after the experience I attempted to describe. It's the next day and I'm "back to normal". To anyone concerned I've lost it, I'm happy to report that's not the case as I sit here sipping my coffee and reading this back in a less "altered" state. It's really hard to write stuff like this in a way that doesn't sound potentially "concerning" to most people. I got a good chuckle out of it myself but stand by the legitimacy of the experience I had. I blame the inefficiency and ambiguity of words (as well as my lack of prowess in using them) for this more than any kind of latent mental illness. For what it's worth, I still understand this stuff no better than anyone else interested in this kind of subject matter or spiritual endeavors. Having experiences related to this gives nobody any authority to be prescriptive or feel superior to anyone else. It's always prudent to keep your own discernment at the forefront when reading stuff like this. Either way, I still think it's good to contemplate this stuff and continue to look within to see what YOU can experience and come up with. Nobody else's experience or description of these matters is more important to you than your own.

I follow this channel for the same reason I enjoy talking to people because sometimes I can find a great idea that helps me understand the world just a little bit better. I bring that up because I had a conversation a few years back about what the Emerald Tablet could be thanks to our love for Full Metal Alchemist and Alchemy in general and I had the epiphany that the idea of changing lead into gold wasnt a literal thing but a spiritual one and I think its the same lesson that Ed learned when he gave up his own alchemy for his brother.

you should look up spiritual alchemy if you hadn't, it's basically translating the lead turning to gold metaphor into a spiritual concept, each alchemy step as it was perceived traditionally actually means so much more

To get to the point you could use it, you have to let go of any want to use it. All gold is, is a shinny rock we are told is valuable.

Interesting to note that the interpretation of it being an allegory alluding to the soul is the approach C.G. Jung had to alchemy at one time, and had it apparently partly influenced his development of his process of individuation, as described in his red book

Ah, it was such a fun weekend putting that together 😊

"As above, so below" brings atoms to my mind. When tablet was written, most people, even great minds, probably thought that things in the sky, in heaven, work differently from those on earth, that the Sun, the Moon, and the Stars needed some sort of otherworldy, magical substances/ways to exist, and to move. They also probably thought that those who are "above" (gods) are different than them, better, greater, unlike any other on earth. Trismegistus probably came into the conclusion that in fact everything is tied toghether by the same thing, that everything that is above, is the same as those things that are below, and that what is below, works in the same way that things above work. Atoms, strings, whatever the smallest thing that builds our world is, it exist in everything, and works in the same way. Understanding of alchemy, ethics, religion, and other things comes down to understanding their basics, basics that stay the same when we talk about gold or lead, good and evil, gods and devils, understanding of those basics, those that are "as above, as below" "to accomplish the wonders of one being" "it is the cause of all perfection on earth" The "one" thing is probably the universe in itself, the perfect union of the extremes, hot and cold, dark and light, silence and noise, good and evil, everything wonderfully exists, adapts, changes, it is perfect, the hottest and darkest things exist in the universe, the lightest and hottest thing exist in the universe. The world is something, the union that exist to be perfect mix of well, everythings that is. "Separate earth from fire, the subtle from the gross" The whole thing about "ascending" in my opinion is about understaning the opposite, yet not contradictory nature of the universe, to separte it, and in this way, understand the truest, most extreme possibilities of everything, and in this way, undestand it in whole. To explain it simply, imagine that you see a... glass of water. Little children will probably tip their fingers in water, they will touch the glass, drink the water, spill it, and many more. By examining it, and understanding every possibility, every effect that a simple glass of water can have, we understand it's place in the world, it's no longer a blurry object that is a unknown to a child, it is something that has a meaning, truth in it's existance. By separating it's aspects, like wetness and it's effect, the texture of the glass, the way the glass breakes, we "ascend", and understand the whole object. "Ascend... from earth to heaven" Becouse we are also a part of the universe, the "below" of it, to become whole, to understand it's meaning from every angle, we need to go "above", it could mean looking at everything from the perspective without any attachments (in the buddist way), or it could mean becoming greater in some other way, completly unlike your earlier "earthly" way of looking at things. "To unite the infirior, and superior" "this thing has more fortitude than fortitude itself" If you are able to understand and be both the inferior and superior, nothing can move you, becouse there is nothing else that can move you, you understand every possible extreme, there is nothing else that can be, knowing the extremes, you know everything in between that could happen. "By it, the world was formed" The world was form by those extremes, hot and cold, darkness and light. No matter what religion, or culture, we all understand that there are extremes to evertyhing, those things are the most basic ideas that created, and are, the universe. It is by those things that the universe is the universe, and it is thanks to understanding them, that we can understand it.

In the line about separating, Earth, in a planetary sense, can't exist as we know it without fire. Also, I think "gross" is referring to a bulk amount, to contrast the use of 'subtle.' To me, it comes across as an ancient version of find-the-needle-in-the-haystack or some other similarly impossible task. This emerald tablet thing is new to me. Thanks for the in-depth analysis.

If I remember correctly the atomic theory dates to the ancient Greeks so whoever Hermes Trismegitus was they were probably familiar with the Ancient Greek writings on the theory of atoms. (I say they because it is known that there were female alchemists who were around in the Hellenistic and Roman periods so Hermes Trismegitus could have been a pen name for a female alchemist).

Another great video!! Could the Emerald Tablet be in Hall of Records underneath the Sphinx???

My interpretation of the emerald tablet is that it describes the base nature of the universe which is a waveform, moving up and down. The other thing it describes is the main thought behind all religions that there´s an force (a god some might say) behind all things and everything comes from it. Tablet also describes how this force can be used in real life by creating device (like a pyramid) which moves energy from earth to heaven and back in wave motion up and down, like AC current does. This creates a "creation field" which resonates with user(s) and performs "miracles" by controlling the matter itself. I think the "great work" of which alchemist sought was the creation of consciousness or intelligence to inanimate objects, thus creating a living thinking being like human is (a biological computer one might say). This required certain liquids and processes (fire, earth, air and water were the most important) in order to produce consciousness. This brings the pyramids into the game, which were first alchemists (Hermes Trismegistus) "great work" -a devices which controlled earths "brain (in the words of Tesla) and consciousness" for the benefit of people. In order of any of this to make sense it requires that we must (and have to) change our base thought of how reality and matter is formed. In the very deepest end, if all of the reality is just a computer simulation then the pyramids and alchemy´s "great work" were just means to hack this simulation in order to control it. This is how I see these things... and now you can start calling me a lunatic! :D

Where did the word Lunatic come from ? it is alchemy. Luna is the moon and they believed it is Mercury. It is known that mercury is poisonous to the brain and cause mental issues.

Fantastic job! A great analysis of the place of alchemy in the world's history.

Picture this. The adept scholar and the simple farmer walk the same path, their begining and end both the same, one with scrolls of knowledge and the other with cart of crops. The two speak of the sun and moon, the earth too. And then as only humans do, they speak of gold. So claims the scholar- "With this scroll I have knowledge that would turn lead to gold! I would have great wealth and understanding." And the farmer returns- "This I know. As the sun rises so too do my crops, and as I come to market I will make them to gold. If there is no change at least I will still eat. I ask you now, what would you have left if you fail?"

The Emerald Tablet was a replication of one stolen holographic disc of creation. When Thoth betrayed the Guardians and made the choice to follow the service-to-self path, he stole one of the discs of creation (there are 12 master discs). It is thought that he could only steal one of the tablets before he would be apprehended and stopped. He then recreated the disc for his own purposes and distortions of the truth. This is not to say the entire disc is false, it's just the current oldest known form of disinformation (Thothian propaganda if you will). Throughout the ages, Thoth has reincarnated countless times to protect his tablet and his narrative. Hermes Trismegistus is ONE of those reincarnations. All of the holographic discs of creation are indeed about the inner work, not about transmuting base metals into gold. They are the blueprint and guides for the original 12-grid Universal Tree of Life. The 10-grid tree in Kabballah is a distortion created from the tablet of Thoth in order to prevent humans from realizing their full potential as God-Sovereign-Free beings.

In order to protect the information from those who would destroy it again (Library of Alexandria, etc.), the glossary must be found for yourself.

I’m pretty sure anyone that had/has properly looked into alchemy would say that all of alchemy was never about changing base metals to gold, and that was only a fools tale to lead people that weren’t enlightened enough to understand the true value of alchemy’s teachings away from them. to keep alchemy obscure to the public and mainstream.

I always took "as above so below" to mean that the higher dimensional beings have personalities like us. They love, hate, fear, are jealous, vengeful and at times stupid like us.

In my meditation, my soul travels, i saw a very beautiful four sided emerald pillar finely carved in sumerian glyphs, and i asked the Angel Librarian, why is this being kept from the world? Then he replied, it was never being kept from anyone, it will just become useless if anyone cannot properly read it.

@@evilovesperry Fractals. Everything follows the same logic and pattern. It’s a way to confirm and/or rule out concepts. So it stands to reason that we would be able to confirm the validity of what happened in scripture if we compare it to the laws of math and physics. If they match up, then we can trust the personified version of events in scripture.

There is a book called "Ash Mesareph" (can also be written:"Aesch Mezareph"). It describes "The Magistery" ("Magisteriet") in a very easy way to understand. --- "The First Stof" (or "The First Substance") was the unknown part. It was written like a riddle. This substance should be boiled for three years, for then - ending up - as "The philosopher's stone", the stone that could convert every metal to gold. --- A part of the water, that this stone was boiled in, became "the life's elixir" (You may read: "The water of Life" - if you wish). Three drops of this elixir, were deadly. Two drops, could extend life with (at least) a thousand years (maybe more). Your body became young again. This is ONE of the stories - in a nutshell.

@@HououMinamino : I am talking about "The Secrets of Alchemy" - and the only book (according to what I have read about it) that describes the way to succeed. There is only one copy of this book - and noone knows where it is (of course - exept the one who has it).

I was always taught the emerald tablet could only be read in the astral realm.

@@evilovesperry I didn’t and I didn’t know anything about astral projection or what it was until I woke up and looked it up. I put a comment in the comment section of the experience but I can sum it up here. For me I woke up in another body, but I had complete consciousness as if I was awake and decision making. I looked at my hands and the first thing I said was “wow I’m astral projecting, and when I wake up I need to go on Facebook and tell everyone how to do this”. I was absolutely awake in the dream. I went up to someone in a store or building and said hello and they asked where I was from and I told them I’m actually asleep right now in Maine. They didn’t say anything back. Pretty much the whole dream was like that with me completely aware of everything and conscious. I read you can do this by laying on the bed with your eyes close and not moving at all while saying in your head “I’m awake”. After a period of time your body goes into sleep paralysis but your mind is still awake. Then you start to form the dream in the darkness behind your eyes and once it’s formed you just start going into the dream. Mine wasn’t voluntary like that but I heard it is possible to do that.

You left out Doreal. Also it is believed that Thoth would go away for 100 years then return in a new body, hence the origin of the Tris = 3 or three lives, one also being Nishida.

This was fantastic, thank you. I have become well acquainted with the Hermetic writings over the years, and various dynamic esoteric models such as the Enneagram, The Kabbalah and the Tetractys etc. The Emerald Tablet seems to be instructional wisdom, originally meant only for the highest initiates of an inner priesthood, or a Pharoah from the Osirian Dynasties. It is possible that the tablet of Apollonia was not the original and not so singular, because It's contents point to the austere Egyptian rites of soul transmutation guided by Tehuti for a pharaonic initiate. It seems to outline the final stages of soul perfection before the afterlife. The so-called hidden true identity of it's author is moot in this context, as it would have been attributed to Tehuti/Thoth, whether inspired through an anonymous scribe or written by the teacher himself. As the very master of word and thought, all such instruction would have been acredited to him.

Would like to see Mr Mythos do video on the squatter man theory, I think it’s where it all started.

I think it's certainly allegorical and lays out a philosophy that allows you to attain enlightenment despite being in the material world, e.g. turning lead to gold. I also think Hermes Trismegistus was a real person and was posthumously deified. Common people exposed to his works were amazed at his insight and intelligence and assumed he must have divine knowledge to come to such conclusions.

You are the lead be>ng turned to gold. Its saying to become one in body and mind. Once youve done that youve reached perfection. Thats why they keep saying "this one thing"
