I liked the original color but going to the wood finish was a thousand times better! Brian sounds great. What a transformation. Love it.
Anyone who treat a bass with no love, should not ever play the bass again.... Good job, Sir👌👌👍👍🎸🎸

@@bara7331 you're dumb bro, it's clearly faked. If a bass gets to that level of deterioration it has to be left in the woods for like 2 months. edit: You can see moss and rust on the frets, aswell as grinding marks on the body. That is not natural, someone took an angle grinder to that shit

The best thing on this video: No music, just the video!! Just a relief.
At first, I couldn't believe that you were polishing the screws - then I saw the results, and recognized that was going to make the bass easier to use and repair, so it was worth the effort! It's a great-looking instrument, and I haven't even gotten to the repaint portion of the program.

Polished screws have absolutely no benefit as far as easier to use and repair. Wtf are you babbling about?

This is a quality Bacchus bass and deserves some love.
As a bass player, this feels like you repairing our weapon. Thank you for saving this lil guy 🙏
The life of Brian has been a hard one.
Nice color! Nice work!
Beautiful! The color you chose is perfect with that aged pick guard. Nicely done.
WOW! I wasn't going to watch all of this, but I couldn't help myself. Such a good job and great to see all the components of a bass guitar. Great video!!!!
Wow ,that bass was an absolute wreck, you can tell it had plenty of hours on it , excellent job .

No, it was just abused. Any Bass player worth his salt that would put that many "hours" on this bass wouldn't have let it go like this and destroy it.
Saludos cordiales 🎸
Gorgeous finish, the combination with the pick guard is amazing!
This is so satisfying to watch!!! The attention to detail in cleaning it is insane. Bravo!
Loved how you used every single parta again. Really nice job.
That bass has earned its freedom! Thank you for liberating it from the hands of chaos.
Looks like you saved that one from the graveyard. Beautiful work and a great result.Well done sir!
aw. it had so much character before, though. woulda been cool to just see it restored as-is.
Awesome fix! I didnt think the final product would be so good!
I'm impressed! That bass is gorgeous after the restoration! Love that dark brown stain with the pearl pick guard.
I don't regret watching this at all. Great job in giving that beat up bass a second life.
That came out looking amazing, be proud you saved that bass.
Al Thor you did a very good job restoring this instrument, I think it’s fake how it got in to that condition in the first place, that part I think was created by you for dramatic effect!
Excellent work on this bass! I was impressed by how much different and how much prettier it looked after you were done with it. It sounded pretty good, too.
Nice work! The before / after is pretty amazing on this one.
Poor old ‘Brian’, forgotten and at the end of life, suddenly revived great work! I personally like mine a loved looking
Beautiful work! I love the wood finish.❤
Beautiful restoration of the jazz bass!
Brian looks great. Nice restoration!
You gave it new life, thats a Re-birth. love the new Wood finish and the last rift you were playing, that one i am going to learn! 😁
Nice work,and even nicer playing👍🏻
Amazing as always !
Amazing job, the finished result is impressive. I wish I had the patience to do this but thanks, this has inspired me to use some of the techniques learned here, to do some jobs on an old Precision I have that's in need of some attention. Many thanks.
What a transformation!!! Loved the wood stain colour...it went beautifully with the cleanded up pick guard
And she is back to life! Sounds awesome too.
You started with a beat up scratched and just dirty bass that hasn’t see any love. But now my friend the bass is sporting a new paint job and deep cleaning new strings and it a beautiful guitar”bass” that anyone would be proud of playing! It sounds wonderful too. Thanks for sharing with us Peace Out 🤟🎸❤️ 36:50
Beautiful restoration
RAWK!!! Keep 'em coming! 🤘🏼
I was hoping to see the bass played at the end but I was not ready for you to absolutely shred so hard
Very understated and tasteful renovation!
When you walk past his bass, listen carefully! You will hear a little voice saying 'thank you' !
Nice work! another good Instrument saved.
Very relaxing and therapeutic to watch. Thanks for sharing! 🙂
Definitely my favorite so far. I love the bass. Great job!
I love the fact that you chose to let the wood on the body shine instead of painting it great job born again and ready to thump
Really good job I love how you restore all the bass components and only replace wiring and pots
Nobody can restore instruments to this level its incredible work.
Well done, beautiful restauration job! I like the natural wooden body with a dark satin varnish very much! Kudos!
Great piece of work you got there
Excellent work ! Good job.
The kettle was on overtime it looked freezing I do hope you get to your destination without anymore issues , another splendid video thank you for posting it
Aaaargh! I’m late to the party! Better late than never. Cool channel, loved the chatter. And of course I remember the Telecaster Bass / Microphone all too well. I remember fitting knobs on it from an old TV set 😂 Love it…
the band slimeball the sticker is from is a 2005 Japanese punk band that im happy to report was awesome.
Lovely finish
Thank You for saved this bass
Really nice work!
Like the body finish. Great!
Big respect for all the hours of work he spent restoring all of the hardware parts. To be honest, as lazy as i am, i would've bought new parts.
WONDERFUL PERFORMANCE....LOVED IT....
wow! that sound he made at the end of the video is perfect! just wonderful.
Great work!!
I like your changes to the original. Very Nice!!!👍
Really nice. Perfect color on the body
great resto, the only thing you forgot was to insulate the pickup cavities. (that black rubberized paint inside adjustment pot cavity)
Great job man 👌👌👍👏👏👏punchy jazz bass tone. It's alive,it's alive.
You did a miracle job on that guitar
that bocchi the rock reference is banger👏👏👏👏👏👏
really cool playing
Great job!!. It looks better on you than when it was new! 😎👍
Wow nice work😍🤩. Unbelievable 😮 I👍it and ❤️it.
the life of brian...great vid...
That was a lot of work. Paid off
Love it , fantastic work 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
a pleasure to play with such a thin neck. great job
Awesome what a difference , looks and sounds new!
Great Work!
Great Job!
Excelente trabajo quedo hermoso ese bajo felicitaciones
Nice! saving music, one bass at a time!
God Bless You For Doing This!!!!
Wow... that is a beauty of bass, incredible restoration and color ; )
Great restoration! I'd have put the ashtrays on but I love bling....
A round of genuinely wholesome applause to you for rejuvenating what looked like a totally lost cause!!🎸 The brown stain finish on the body looked like it might not work, but with the pearl scratch plate it looks great. The bit I REALLY like is the varnished finish on the headstock-I have a cream/olympic white Squier 60s vibe Jazz with tortoiseshell plate and the head is a gorgeous golden varnish and that's what sold the whole bass to me. I still have people tell me its the best looking effort in my collection of five which includes an Epiphone Thunderbird IV!! I would've only made one slightly different adjustment to your Brian here - as well as replacing the controls, I would've also swapped the tuning peg tops where they are blistered, as they are quite noticeable. But Im sure you had a reason to leave them as they are...
Amazing job 👏
Excelent job my brother fantastic 😍
thanks so much sir for caring her 🙏
