For a collector, having every bit original is very desirable. Even the tiny little screws that hold down the tuning peg and its' cover ! Such thoroughness is inspiring.

Agreed. And this guitar may be the best sounding he's ever recorded. Outstanding work!!
Great restoration and some great playing as well! One option that could have been considered was leaving the original yellow finish on it (if it was original, and it appears that it might have been). That would have given it a "vintage" appeal, but then again, it is only another option. Kudos!
What I love about these restorations is that you make the guitars look as new as possible, but not necessarily brand new. Excellent work as always.
I have 2 Hallmark "Custom 60" Mosrite style guitars. Set necks on both. They sound and play amazing. Mosrite guitars have a unique sound all their own. Love them!
Another guitar restoration that turned out amazing! And this style of playing guitar with "Bossa Nova" enchanted me! Hugs from Brazil and congratulations on the fantastic work!
Johnny Ramone would be proud!
My buddy who has passed away now actually has one of the original prototypes of this guitar.
When you began to take off the original cream finish, I almost switched channels. But I know what you're capable of so I watched it all. I love Mosrite guitars. You have proven to me that you are a Master of Restoration!
Fantastic work! I'm from Brazil and I always follow your videos, I always wonder where you find these badly treated instruments?! I am truly impressed with its technical quality and the attention it pays to the smallest details! Congratulations on the videos and your way of working! Big hug from Brazil.

One of my all time favorite guitars. Loved the Ventures!👍👍🎸
The ventures would be proud.
I wonder how long it took that blue spray paint to cure before he “restored” it back off?
If your mind is as structured and ordinated as your work, it must be nice being in your head. Beautiful work!

Absolutely stunning.
I'm From Bakersfield and I'm sure Semie Moseley would be proud of you imo that color (I'm sure u know) was for black and white TV shows to show of guitar better than plain white
It’s so crazy how he finds all of these interesting guitars spray painted and defaced nearly the same way every time. It’s SUCH a weird coincidence!

I've wondered that myself several times as well. In my opinion these are genuine restorations. I've seen neglected instruments first hand several times, and the building of crud, dirt and fading of the metals is not easy to fake. You can fake rust pretty well, but not the general aging and fade of metal and plastics I've seen here. But, it is still surprising how all the instruments are spray painted and full of stickers... a couple of finds could be, but it begs the question on this amount.
I know the idea is to restore it to "as new" but the white with navy blue plastics would've actually been quite a unique look.
I actively cant believe that they just find guitars this damaged. But i cant imagine this person wrecking them that much just for a video lol. Especially with how expensive some of them are. Like mosrites currently sell in the 1200-2500 range depending on model and year. The restorations are great though and i love watching how every part is rehabbed. Very satisfying.
I think you could have perfectly salvaged the original paint.
Unbelievable the way you don't just save part of a guitar you save ot all thanks for making videos your work inspires me and others
I think the Ventures would be proud to play that!
The restoration work is gorgeous, but I wanted to compliment on the nice playing as well! 👍
Such a shame this wonderful guitar was treated that way. Thank you for saving that masterpiece of a guitar.🤘🤠🤘Even though its a copy.
Great restoration! A tip for removing frets if they are stuck is heat. Use a solder iron to heat, then pull. Perfect color choice for the repaint. ✌️

Always great stuff, I think I prefer the silence, until the demo of course
Nice. A classic surf guitar.
I love the original paint scheme.
Excellent work. Perhaps the most enjoyable restoration I've ever watched. I was most impressed with how you restored all of the plastic parts. Amazing. If you had wanted to, could you have removed the spray paint and salvaged what was left of the original finish underneath? And, when you were cleaning the pots with a wire brush isn't all of that debris and dust going right inside the pot?
What an amazing transformation! Beautiful, love it! ❤❤❤❤
What a stunning transformation. I was never a Mosrite fan, but this one leaves me speechless.
I watched the latest video and thought "wow those are the most cooked frets I've ever seen" and then I saw this one 🙃
Great restoration work. As usual. You never disappoint lol. The only thing I'd like you to change is the demo at the end. Wouldn't it be possible to play the guitar alone in a small piece and then play on pieces of musical bases to hear the sound of the guitar in a musical context...? I think that would make your videos perfect. Well, it's just a suggestion. Best regards
Thank you for another amazing video. I really enjoy watching you perform magic on these guitars. Thank you.
What a amazing job! Those guitars are pretty pricey here in the states... I just don't understand why someone would bastardized this kind of guitar in the first place. Anyways, I'll say it again GREAT JOB!
@101Volts

It's not an American Original, it's some Japanese Copy. I couldn't tell you which one, maybe an "Avenger," but the carve looks too good to be a 1970s Avenger. The neck plate's rectangular, which you just don't see on 60s Mosrites.

That neck has defo been used, check the patina on the tuners and condition of frets+board, some might have been purposeful but it’s nowhere near as bad as some resto ytbers, is still a valid job imo
Am I just the weird one who would love to see one of the Electric Guitars keep the natural wood grain on the body rather than see it painted?
Congratulations, that is an ugly headstock in a gorgeous body shape, I could even imagine it with just one pickup, love the colour. and those pots and switch restoration, made my day.
Good job on stripping the awful paint and the new ivory finish looks very stylish! It's nice to watch you take care of every single part! I noticed a couple of points you might have overlooked. It seems like you skipped grounding the bridge and I can hear the static noise it causes while you're shredding.

@@SlayingMantis676Hahaaa!! I don't know... You think so?? If he's making them look like that just to clean them up again... I don't know. I suppose it's possible, but that doesn't sound right to me. The years of gunk and grime on many of these guitars would require lots of time. Unless he's got a backlog of instruments that he's "reliced" over the years, I'm pretty sure he's finding these in the condition they are in. I'm guessing there's a heavy punk/thrasher scene where these are acquired. But who knows. Either way, it's fun to watch! Yes?
Good colour choice and great work as always
Not a Japanese guitar. It is a Mosrite, made in the US by Semie Moseley.
Another AWESOME restoration job! 👍👍👍
Most excellent work my friend!👍👍
Have you ever thought about putting subtitles when you present products? Most are in Japanese. Is only a suggestion. Your channel is awesome.
Beautiful workmanship.
Yeah, you're right that it's Japanese. But that's a Japanese take on an American-Designed Mosrite Ventures model (the Ventures became highly popular in Japan.) It's easily seen as Japanese by the neck plate being mostly rectangular, instead of it being the asymmetrical "peanut" plate. I'm a huge Mosrite fan, and if you want to hear more of what's inaccurate with it, here are 7 more things I counted (though there may be more:) 2: They got the headstock logo mostly right... But there's no Ventures logo (although the late 60s ones didn't have Ventures association either, nor did the early 70s ones.). 3: The tuners are not Klusons as they ought to be (though they could have been replaced.) 4: The serial number in the fretboard isn't placed right (it's too close to the fret) and it's not the right type of stamping die. 5: The Mosrite logo on the Vibrato Tailpiece doesn't say "of California" on it (not that it should, being a Japanese built one.) 6: The metal just under the "Moseley" name on the tailpiece also looks too smooth, comparing to my 66 model. 7: The Toggle Switch isn't the same design. It might be a bit better, though - I've had the design on mine get jammed a few times so it won't go into the middle position. It's fixable, but it's a bit bothersome. 8: The bottoms of the pickups don't look the same as on a 1960s American Mosrite Ventures model. It looks like the inlays are the right size, though.

@@michaelr.4878 Either "Fillmore" or "Kurokumo" are contenders, but I wouldn't be surprised if there are more. All I know is that it's not a 1970s "Avenger" since the carve looks too good - the Avengers look just too sharp and rough by comparison, beside their headstock logos looking a bit different.
