He isn't tough, he is CGI. It doesn't matter how tough you are, when your muscles are cut, you can't use those muscles. The Nord would have been done fighting after he got impaled if this was real. But it is not, so anything is possible.

Ditto. If Bethesda can’t make functioning games, they could at least make badass movies or shows that look like this. I would support them for that at least.

That Nords a badass! Takes Several Arrows in him before this fight even starts, gets stabbed, slashed and eventually gets two blades impaled in him. Then just casually walks away with a sword and dagger still stuck in him! Orcs are famed for their strength but are often slow and bogged down. Redguards for their speed and skill but are often physically weaker. Nords seem to encompass all three perfectly.

Redguards are a physically strong race. They rank above average when compared to a normal human, but nords are physically the strongest race. Orcs are the most hardy race (basically strong-willed and most determined)

Predman1227 well in most peoples’ eyes, letting a man keep his life is one form of mercy. But to a few others, Death is relieving them of their suffering, so it makes me wonder which decision is more noble. On one hand, you’re potentially letting a future enemy live with hatred and anger consuming his heart and mind, that is if your battle with them hasn’t broken their spirit, in which case you’ve left them to suffer, but in the other, you’re taking the life of something that was once just as alive as you were.

@@JacOfAllTrades. I enjoy roleplaying characters that were evil in the past and are in the path of redemption. They always spare their enemies lives so they can do the same. Now I'm not a criminal myself, but I like to think that sometimes, when someone with a complicated personality is shown what it feels like not to be hated, they might change. I think giving someone the chance of keeping on living is best... what that person does with their second chance however, is up to them... Killing is only merciful when wounds are terminal and you know for a fact you're sparing them of a lot of suffering.

Magic was used to kill him, to unbind the curse that kept him alive and silent. I highly doubt he wanted to stand in his way but he didn't have a choice given that he was cursed. I'm also sure the the nord knew this, even gives him a knowing nod during the fight but he sadly couldn't kill him but he could render him emobile. Thankfully the elf was able to finish of the job and use her magic to free him.

Guys, people have forgotten this game existed! Okay, uhm, let's spend tons of money on a really expensive cinematic! But sir, how will we finish our dungeons and ra... DOESN'T MATTER IF THE CONTENT SUCKS, JUST CREATE A FUCKING TRAILER! But sir... this is the same trap every other MMO has gone into, they fail to deliver content and thus people just leave the game shortly after hitting max le... I WANT A VIKING DUDE FIGHTING AN ASSASSIN, MAKE IT FLASHY! *sigh*

@@aidenfurry471 Idk what lore you've been reading but that's not true. Technically, in "the lore", he's referred to as The Vestige, because he's the player character if you picked the Daggerfall Covenant faction at the very start of the game. However, his armor in-game is called "The Breton Hero Costume". So for that particular character, we just call him the Breton Hero. His class is obviously a Nightblade in these 2014 cinematics, but ever since 2019, he's a Necromancer. Not sure if he's switched or not with the High Isle cinematics because he hasn't used a single necromantic power against the Ascendant Lord. He probably could've wiped the floor with him if he had tbh. Other than that, sure, he's a ranger of sorts. He's got strong Aragorn vibes. He's obviously not a thief or an assassin though.

@@chimpthegreat that's not the Vestige it's a separate character, they portray the factions but not the player, especially since the trailers conflict with the in game story and your entrance into the areas in question, the events are referenced by some of the other characters in the trailers but not in a context you the player are in

How to fight like a Nord - Be a F*cking Tank and just keep going until your opponent is Down.

I love how when the Warrior/Barbarian is going to throw the Rogue/Assassin off the cliff he isn't throwing him. He simply turns away and drops his arm. It's a very unique way to show that. It's like the Barbarian doesn't want to waste more energy than is required and doesn't see his opponent as worthy of throwing. Although has he actually tossed him, the fight likely would have ended right then and there.

Actually if you paid more attention you'd know that the three warriors we've been following all this time have formed a bond. At first they fought because they were from different alliances but they respected each other and their skills, then a worse enemy came along and they fought against it together, since then they have worked together to keep Nirn safe The Nord turns away and drops him because he doesn't want to see someone who he once called friend as he is. It's the same reason why he turned away when he drove the axe into the Breton's torso

I think that Bethesda should start working on Elder Scrolls 6 and it could be through whole Tamriel as well, but with the story and single-players and co-op would be rather cool. And it could be in the second era. I'd love to see Molag Bal invading Tamriel.

This is standard pvp combat situation a rouge (the Breton in this case) truly shines when attacking from stealth typically having high stats that assist speed and precision with the ability to do major damage in short bursts, with moderate magic and physical defense but to level this out have very low levels of health.(Powerful but fragile with a wide attack range.) Warriors (The Nord) on the other hand are built to take considerable punishment while doing considerable damage having stats that increase strength, physical defense, and health, but typically having low speed, magic defense, and little to no ranged abilities. Warriors shine in close range face to face combat which shows here. (Powerful and tough but terrible range)

I hope this company and game will go on and on because I love these cinematics, they are the best ever. But I don't think I'll ever pay anything to play the game I'm just looking forward to more cinematics like these. If they make full movies like these and release them I will pay to watch them in cinemas.

Whenever i see trailers that are purely cinematic it makes you question the actual gameplay...........

@@S308. Sadly no. I've come back to rewatch this vid and read comments couple times over the years, to see if anyone said anything about it. But most people were just commenting on the trailer itself instead of the music.

You guys wanna know something really cool? The have contests where they show a screencap ingame, and they have users write a story based on the screencap. The winners story is then made into a quest and becomes part of the TES lore.

That fight was like looking at an Covenant Elite and a UNSC Marine fight.

Beautiful cinematics and absorbing story. The only problem I ever had with this game was that they really should have followed community advice and added multiplayer to their regular titles before trying to get their feet wet in the MMO market right before a WoW Expac release...

Such beautiful work. I don't care what anyone says, video games are works of art, or more so one giant beautiful collaborative work of art. Just look at how well done this is, easily one of the best cinematics I have seen, even better than Blizz and I will admit I am a blizz cinematic fanboy.

I fucking love this game!!! Im glad its going f2p so if i don't like tamriel unlimited then i can still play. Question to everyone who hates this game, did you fucks even get past level 15 before you made your opinion? Or even level 10 for that matter? It can be fun as hell if you can quit bemoaning the fact that its not the elder scrolls 6.

wow is some people really so naive to think this game is pay to win... here is what you get buy to play the game unlimited with no subscription required to your hearts content! if u want further dlcs you pay a around 15 dollars like every1 else and can play for 1 month with that content and all you get is yours forever but you cant enter new zones without paying again after the 30 days micro transaction is present here BUT... only for costumes, pets, and mounts just like wow! no pay to win premium edition for loyal players who wanna play get 10% xp and 10% gold. no pay to win here either. i would say this is a great deal for an mmo! u cant argue with the terms here. pay 60$ for games every month cuz you need a good game, or pay 15$ for 1 game and play it every month. stop complaining! the game is great. minimum bugs so far, fun combat. and a good sense of discovery IMO

Yeah, i think its a great deal. I heard the game was mediocore at launch, but that it improved overtime with patches, new content, etc. I am looking forward to console release to start my quest across tamriel (unlimited) :D

If they make a elder scrolls 6, it should be around Talos' time, so we could help out Talos in his conquest. Lets face it, he's awesome :). I'd love to see how awesome it is to speak with him. And unite the other races.

Awesome trailer, I'll come back to the game soon, can't wait to see what's in store for us and going Buy2Play (not free to play, you still need a copy of the game) will invite so many more people in/back.

Sad ending. The Breton sees his wife for the last time when the corruption is leaving him, and the Nord sees Sovngarde. I hope the Altmer Queen kicked their asses! Let's see one last part for the show down!

Just saw the end, this this awesome so getting this game!

i like how its got a release date for console over a year after its release.

So the Aldmeri Dominion wins in the cinematic and dominates pvp in game. I sense some kind of bias

Yea dunmer are the shit too. ik that nords are mostly hugs asshles to dark evles but I like the dark elves too. I just hate the high and wood elves. Kajiit too. Fuck those guys

probably not the illuminati a little racist their buddy? but nah I understand, the high elves of the aldmeri dominion divided the empire by outlawing the worship of talos, and that's why i'll always side with Ulfric even as a "gray" skin. All tho the voice of the empire is extremely useful especially since i'm a careless player, and attack no enemy npc i still prefer the dark elves to the Imperials. Khajiit's third person speech gets annoying to. Jzargo this, jzargo that.

Yeah. I agree with you on that. When the elves dominated the imperials and forced them to sign the white gold concordant they fucked tamriel all up. They divided it with its talos ban, alienating the nords especially and any other races that believe in talos. And then on top of that they impose all these taxes and martial law on everyone. The main reasons I hate the kajiit is their alignment with the high elves during the three banners war in ESO and then their reputation as thieves. Also the argonians close partnership with the dark brotherhood always makes me distrustful of them

I love ESO haters. They hate on something they know nothing about, and based their *Opinions* on the PC beta. Too bad in reality the game is doing VERY successful and has won best MMO and several other awards. But of course everyone knows "Haters are gonna hate" it's ok, you don't like it? Then stop watching the videos you hypocrites 😊.

Pure Symphony True. I don't understand why people are saying that "the trailer is so much better than the game"-- well, ummm... People were not forced to buy/play the game, everyone knows that ads are so much better. The trailer is suppose to hype people to play the game, that's the point of ads. Now upon purchase and you don't like the game, then ask for a refund, instead of bitching about it over the internet. Simple.

I play both WoW and eso and i appreciate the love zenimax puts into ESO

Nord to the other soldiers "Yeah I killed that Breton, he stabbed me in the stomach with his sword, I just repaid the favor."

so by these trailers it seems to me that the Breton is just a pour soul in need of release. the Nord is just an Honorless brute with no respect. it's the elf that has shown the most honor and respect to the other two.

This is so badass

This is a good example of skilled vs pay to win( Not saying they Nord isn't skilled). The Breton killed the Nord at least 8 times, but jesus christ he was tanking hard. Arrows and swords to the guts..... This was a good battle overall. I do feel that if the Breton had more control over himself, than he'd probably win, or just have a better chance maybe ;)

Cause internet is filled with Viking fanboys, "proud scandinavians" and puny nerds who loves big warriors because it is what they want to be (Although they would never be). Redguards are cool, but I rather the Bretons (Although I would be an Imperial for bloodline reasons)
