The Egg Sucking Flask

Ғылым және технология

Only try this at home if you have rooster-certified Science Eggs!
The egg-sucking flask demonstrates the connection between the temperature of a gas and the pressure it exerts on an object.
Watch the demonstration, be astounded and see if you can explain the wonder, mystery, and science of the egg-sucking flask!

    Charles law: Volume = (Const.) × Temperature ★ Gas has no fixed Volume or fixed shape & it always fills the container! ★ Decreasing/Increasing the Temperature inside means Decreasing/Increasing gas Volume. ★ The weakest point of container is its Nozzle's cover = {🥚} (1) In the 1st half of demonstration: You raised up the Temperature inside and covered the Nozzle with the {🥚} So, when the Temperature goes down, Volume decreased by sucking the {🥚} "the weakest point of container" (2) In the 2nd half of demonstration: Your covered the Nozzle from inside With the {🥚} , and increased the Temperature, so Volume increased by spilling out the {🥚}

    Because the pressure inside the bottle is higher than it is within, the force the outside pressure exerts on our egg is strong enough to gently push the egg into the bottle. Sir here physics applied more than chemistry !!!😅😅😅

    Ah, but if the pressure inside was higher, wouldn't that push the egg out? Physics and chemistry work as a team for this one, I'll admit.

    @@rmahaffy ya sir when we cool down it under the cold water tap the pressure inside rises as the gas expands on cooling down, thus pushing the egg 🥚 out too!

    The tap water was hot, but you're right that it makes the pressure rise!

    It sucks the air inside when u put the alcohol inside it I think it's right 🤔 But i like the video

    There is sucking of air, but not while the alcohol is lit - at that point hot air is leaving the flask and that would push out the egg. Notice how the flame goes out before the egg is sucked in.
