I recently bought a 3G Eclipse. Same thing the rims were just shot. I don't understand how all four rims could be so horribly beat up. It's like the previous owner intentionally used the grinding up a curb as a parking guide.

I've been following your videos, great stuff bro. I just picked up a 03 Spyder GT, and just got the timing belt and water pump done, waiting for a new harmonic balancer as I chipped mine removing it. I've owned in the past a 2g, 3g, and 4g Eclipse but the 3g was always my favorite. I did the timing belt/water pump on my last 3g and swore I'd never do one again, then had to do a 4g GT timing belt for my cousin, and now having done it again on the 3g! lol. What a pain in the ass, if they gave us like half an inch more that motor mount bracket wouldn't even be an issue. Anyways just wanted to say I love seeing you work on the old girl, and look forward to new vids.

While problems create channel oportunity, this one has really had more than its share of interesting issues.

@@92kbuilds-mn2lk I think we all get 1. Mine was my 2nd car a 1972 Olds Cutlass Supreme. Fast, fun and always broke down. I used to joke I was the only kid on the block with a new '72

Almost there🙌keep it up I have a 3G 2003 GT thats getting a diagnosis tomorrow for a lean issue (I hope its ECU problem and i can just buy and plugin )

Last time mine said lean the timing belt had skipped teeth lol.

hey i have this car and the only thing that has keep it going is the fact that I work at a scrapyard and I can pull parts

I guess so lol. Before having to order the 4 new wheels for it, I only had $300-$400 of parts into it which included an entire tune-up. Just dropped $600 for the new wheels...

Yeah, those are just the parts. Labor is WAY more. Most shops charge over 100 bucks an hour now. Just to change the rear spark plugs on this thing is a few hours because the intake manifold has to come off and it's a real pain. Most timing belt jobs these days run around $1000... This is why I started fixing my own cars when I was 19, because I couldn't afford to pay the shops. I'm self taught and only know what I know from fixing stuff myself for the past 18 years. I learned a lot more fixing this car, but that's where the internet and videos like I make come in real handy.
