@bram471 you can have 2 levers but you’d have to put obsververs at the back of them and then connect them up as if they were buttons. But buttons are definitely easier

IMPORTANT: If a button isn’t working, it’s due to its pulse not being long enough. Make a pulse extender (using 2 comparators) close to your button in order to fix it

This happened to me and I think it happens when you don’t wait for all the repeaters to stop activating after the door opens. So just try waiting a couple seconds after the door opens

This works in my one but has a hole at the bottom middle. Still works. (exept the moving the lever some where else part. One of the pistons move another when i move the lever and do ur instructions when doing so.) Thanks mate! Also, this is one of the REAL builders for bedrock, not Java, so FINALLY. Update on this. I got the hole fixed. It was becsuse i left the blocks at the bottom (the black and yellow ones) and when i broke them, it was fixed. Update 2. It did the hole again.

For those who are having trouble retracting the block in the center and are confused, I can help you. YOU got to make sure you WATCH the WHOLE video or up until he says that he finished the piston door. You also have to copy the things he does throughout the video. Trust me, it will start to work once you’ve finished the set up. This kept happening to me and I was about to give up and break the thing until I just decided to finish the whole piston door. If you are having any trouble with the door or watched the video and block is still not retracting, just ask and I’ll help.

Did not work

This works about half the time with an off state or an on state for the entire machine on bedrock currently. I don’t have any clue why but it has everything to do with the bottom right piston pushing the block onto the middle block to lift it up. It will work and then it won’t and then it’ll break the Redstone. I’ve tried a few solutions to it but it literally just seems to be something related to lag. I’ve tried a variety of ticks and it still hasn’t fixed this design of the 3x3.

To add more details it is about the bottom right piston holding its block before it pushes it onto the closed door setting. Then once the door goes back to open it’ll push that block over to the left and break the two setting Redstone repeater.

Thank you so much this really helped you are the best I really recommend this to people with not much Redstone experience.

if your middle blocks don't fully retract sometimes you need to move the whole thing 1 block left or right. did some testing and when the first & second blocks from the left are in different chunks the timing becomes inconsistent. Easiest way to see your chunk borders is by using chunk base, put in your coordinates & it lists them at the bottom right. To get a rough idea you can check if your X or Z of those blocks are divisible by 16 but that's not always exact bc it depends on where you're facing i believe, just use chunkbase.

that last bit with how to change the input was probably the single best detail that could have been added.

@@TomcoTwo there was no mistake. I built this door and the spiral door and both have the same problem. The double piston extender doesn’t work. You will see what everyone in both comment sections is talking about if u try and make them on a survival realm

Can't wait to finally try out a REAL bedrock edition gate, Been waiting so long to make it with my friend. Comments that finished it seem overjoyed lol.

To fix the issue of the bottom middle block not being pulled fully down, replace the block at 4:25 with an observer, the same way you just placed the previous observer. Keep everything else the same as the video. shoutout @Zethrona's comment.

Built to your exact specifications but the middle piston either doesn’t grab the middle block at all or it gets left behind by the bottom piston when opening it. Closes just fine though.

My middle piston on the bottom sometimes wont grab the block above it and itll just be floating above where its supposed to be, is there a way to fix that? Like the pistons retract, the pistons themselves are doing what they should but sometimes it wont grab the block and actually bring it down, it will the first time like itll bring it down the first time but when the piston goes back up to bring it down again it won’t :(

If anyone is having issues with this door, it’s probably incorrect repeater settings or directions of observers … or you accidentally mixed up your non-sticky pistons vs sticky. 🙃 Also Like others have said on this, don’t spam your lever!! It will break.

I would check that the bottom observer is facing the right way and also that you’re repeaters are facing the right way and on the right ticks

When I try it, It closes perfectly, but when I try to open it, the middle block stays where it is, Ive tried everything and redone the machine so many times, I have no clue what to do

Awesome tutorial! I wanted a fancy door for the Redstone room in my storage area. Attached this to a T flip flop switch activated by a tripwire. Now the whole wall opens up when I approach and closes when I leave.

Can’t get the timing of the two pistons to grab the last block the top piston fires to grab it but the bottom one doesn’t fire to push up the top piston.. definitely matched the tics on the repeaters and then tried every possible combination of tics aswell nothing get the bottom one to fire. It’s probably obvious but I can’t figure it out

I noticed if you move the switch and set it to 3 ticks on both repeaters the build breaks. I just removed the 2nd repeater and left the original repeater at 4 ticks and it solved the problem. This is referring to the end of the video.

This door doesn't work on my bedrock realm for some reason. Any tips? Missing out center block. The stick pistons at the bottom malfunction for some reason. Rebuild it Al 5x. Bottom one simply won't do it's job right

i’m dealt by with some ping issues on my bedrock realm, i believe one of the repeater timings is off and is causing the double piston extender to not pull the middle of the door down, leaving it in the bottom middle of door. Maybe there’s a way sacrifice some speed for a fix? help appreciated

I FOUND THE PROBLEM!!! I think in the tut u forgot to the repeater on the left bottom. Like the repeater at the left and the second from the bottom(the one that faces in the iron block). The one with 3 ticks. I added it just like shown in the final door and it works now

@@theblade367 i tried on Java and it worked

11 slime balls is very basic, very cheap

Im pretty sure it has sum to do with chucks so if yours isnt working try moving it around bc i made 2 identical ones and only one worked

Im trying to have it closed then when you step on a pressure plate it opens but I can’t seem to figure it out

Get it working with buttons first, then where you would connect the buttons, swap them out with pressure plates

Anyone know how to fix the middle block getting stuck in the corner of the door?

No change both repeaters on right side to three tick havent had it break since👍

Change one of the repeaters

It does work, as long as it’s built correct. If you have discord or twitter I’m happy to look at the redstone to see if I can see what’s built wrong

HOW TO FIX IT, if you break it by clicking the levers to fast it breaks the redstone torch at the top and the repeater facing the double pistons, mine the door blocks away replace the redstone torch and repeater (its 2 ticks) then turn it on and then place the blocks back and itl be fixed

Pls tell me why my double piston extender doesn’t work

Thanks so much I've been trying to make a 3x3 piston door for ages and all of the other tutorials were either to hard to follow or just didn't work so I'm so thankful that yours was easy to follow and work perfectly

tip : if something that has to do with redstone doesnt work but you did it perfectly it is most likely cause you are on the wrong version of minecraft

UPDATE: This still works in the latest versions of bedrock, I've had a few comments saying it doesnt which scared me a little but ive just checked it now and its working fine 👍

Hey so whenever I use a level as an input it works, but when I changed the input to a torch key (so I could hide it) along with a t flip-flop (to hold it open), double extension doesn’t work. The left piston triggers either early or late, inconsistently, and it makes the door close in an o-shape, not fully sealing. When you try to open it, the left piston on the bottom triggers and breaks a repeater. Any idea how to fix it? To me it seems like Minecraft bedrock redstone being inconsistent , but if there’s a solution that’d be amazing Edit: I realized that I was using a slightly different design, I thought this was the video where I had found it but turns out it was a different one sorry

Is there a way I can split the lever circuit to have 2 seperate activation points? One for outside the gate and one inside

There is a problem, the piston that grabs the middle block of the door tries to grab it too early and it doesn't work. I tried to fix it, but I can't. I don't think it works, but do you know why it's happening?

If you open or close in the span of four s3conds it won't work right so I wait five seconds before opening or closing

The end change is called the "player input bug", where a direct world change causing a repeater to activate makes it lose a tick of delay. Since a lever changes the world when flicked (or a block moving, for example), those repeaters change their delays

I hate observers so much! 2:27 How do you get it to face like that? I can’t get it like at all

Graet vids but the middle is stuck and the repeter on the bottom left in not bieng activated any ideas

Sometimes the repeater that get the middle block break the circuit sometimes

its been an hour and i still havent finished this thing. i did it, then broke it somehow by messing with the repeaters, and i have to start all over again... am i the only one

Amazing quick tutorial, messed up the first time but then got it on the second try.

So you only showed us one side of the door that you can open but what about from the inside? Are you just locked in or? And also the lever it’s mandatory anything else it breaks the machine

So, not sure if you'll see this, but havin' trouble with the double piston extender. I have it all set the same, but it isn't firing the second time most attempts. And even if it does it's ends up being too late to grab the block as the bottom piston pulls it back. Tried changing tick speed on the repeater it just makes things worse. Any ideas?

Idk off the top of my head but I wouldn’t change the repeater ticks, if you have discord or Twitter I’m happy to look at the redstone to see if I can spot what’s up tho

Hi, the door mainly works but the middle block isn’t pulled down all the way, the piston hasn’t been pulled by the one beneath and I’ve checked all the redstone multiple times, is there a way to fix this?
