Flapjackpants 23 I think it would be better to set a height limit for the water turn into ice then, instead of making it not turn into ice because there's no sunlight. It needs to hit a certain height to be inherently hot, some caves are really cold, like the Skaftafell Ice Cave in Iceland for example (I think an ice cave would be something interesting to see in minecraft).

The first attempt would probably work if you control the tnt falling. It falling to the side or backwards is probably the reason it stopped being reliable.

Since a fence gate is a little bit higher than a regular block, if you put a block above it that is 2 blocks high you cannot go through it without opening the gate or crouching through it. You can connect a lever to the fence gates and open and close the door. It also works as a invisible door.

I routinely use iron doors with buttons on my houses. Currently planning a flying machine door, gonna use 2 steps to it with 3 machines / sets of machines so I can have the doorway become solid without visible parts after it's all done. Gonna be thicc af and this'll be my first time working in a time delay on a redstone mechanism (which I've barely done jack with anyways) but still that's the plan...

That moment after you spend hours working on a redstone project and realize there's a much easier solution.

I don't think you can swap boots on an armor stand (but you can push it with water current). You can swap boots on a mob though.

Not sure, but frost walker doesn't affect flowing water and water that is not on the level under it, so it should be fine. Don't think FW works in a minecart though.

You could always use dispensers with any thing in a bucket like water, lava snow because it’ll pick it up also but of course it wouldn’t keep anything out, but your goal was to make a piston less door so it would work
