Rotation is measured with a few different tools. laser gyro, etc.. The orbit is measured with the position of the sun. The orbit around Sag A* is measured by parallax.

I beg your pardon, not sure why you are showing the stone hedge boulders refering to ancient times. Ancient Greeks navigated the galaxy and mapped the stars many thousands of years before that, get it right google.

@@tjay3482 Why shouldn't it a better representation when the opportunity allows for it? Wouldn't have that been a great time, if only subtly, to show relative orbital speeds? From the time Pluto was named a planet to when it's planet status was revoked, it didn't even have one of it's own years. Now that's a slow orbit!

@@tjay3482 It's a subtle difference, but since flat earthers don't understand the difference between a solar and sidereal day, they end up thinking that 6 months later midnight should be in the middle of the day.

problem is that Gravity is not a force , is just a happening , if the apple falls then is happening , as long as the Apple does not fall , is just there hanging on the tree, when it falls it is an event , the law of attraction . .the sun attracks the other planets because of his size ..if suddenly the Sun get the size of the Earth then Kaos would occur ,..there would be no attraction , so maybe Divinity is in charge of things we do not understand

@Annabella Stevens True, but someone did sit down and input the animations of all these things, and consciously decided to make things move or spin in one direction or the other without thinking if it was an accurate representation. Typically such media goes through an editorial process where someone checks the work for inaccuracies. It seems they did not go through that process here (which would seem especially important for a work intended to be used in an educational setting).
