Bear this in mind, Aragorn is a ranger. They are used to foraging in the wild, surviving on the barest of essentials. These are people who have accustomed their palates to eat almost anything, and for whom having to survive on little more than beets and roots would be child's play. And even HIM, a ranger, found the stew to be utterly abhorrent. You have to imagine just how bad it must have been that even someone with survival training that can eat anything, still was reluctant to eat that.

“Please eat” /proceeds to stand and watch him eat. Aragorn: “fuck fuck fuck fu…”

All these years and I only recently realized Gimli mutters 'I really couldn't' as he walks off.

Eowyn: "I'm sorry. Please eat!" Aragorn: under his breath "Fuck..."

This might be the only mention of the Northern Kingdom, Arnor, in the films.

@@ArgieGrit It's actually a joke about Eowyn being a shieldmaiden. Given that she was raised and trained a shieldmaiden so she kind of neglected her lady-like duties. That's why she's a bad cook. At least that's what I got from it.

I knew this was left out of the movies. I hadn't read the books so when i was rewatching the trilogy the other day I was digging around and came across the fact Aragorn was 87(!!!)...that really changes his whole character knowing that.
