Jerome, you're going to get analysis paralysis if you worry about micro movements that won't make a difference in the long run. Listen to what your coach is telling you to work on and put your commitment into it. There isn't a secret magic move or one tiny thing that will transform you overnight. All of it counts, all of it matters, and all of it works together in the swing. Don't get distracted by things you think might be an issue, because more often than not, you're wrong and you potentially get worse because of it.

I second this advice. It's important to listen to and replicate your coach's adjustments. After that, I personally focus on recognizing and remembering the feel to the good shots

Great advice but we all know its easier said than done lol. Its so easy to get into your own head especially after a few bad shots

Well said. I personally feel with average amateurs macro adjustments are better and as the player gets better move into micro adjustments.

Seconded. Coach is trying to get him to focus on keeping the head back and bumping the hips forward but Jerome's thinking about the takeaway. Focus on the task at hand!

So true. Golf is hard. The swing/feel changes each day and you just need to go through it. Forget how far it goes. Just get the reps in and let your coach adjust. Trying to expedite the process will only slow it down.

Once again, I’m struck by how similar our swing issues are. But you’re progressing way faster! Good job!

Have you considered getting a shot tracking system like Arccos or Shot Scope for the course? It can be a benefit to know what you do well and don't do well while playing compared to other scratch golfers.

Stay curious and stay confident! Since you are on a quest to become scratch, maybe you should consider some alternative forms of golf theories. It would be super fun if you tried a single plane swing coach for a week up in Fresno (Bryson Dechambeau's coach, Mike Schy) and get a set of single length wedges and irons. Also, there is nothing wrong with asking lots of questions from your coach, it means you care and are putting in the effort and trusting in the coach's knowledge and experience base that is worth your time, money, and effort. Keep up the awesome content and have fun!

Jerome i have a hack for you . Here it goes. When you tray not move your head. Focus on the spot you want to hit. Keep your eyes on it. This way your head will stay in the same spot. Now remeber you have to finish swing, so let your body make full turn when you hear the impact. Don't tray to see the moment of impact, becouse you wont. When you hear it , let the body turn . good luck.

What is the advice in this video? Is it to keep the head still, the bump to the left or to hit up on the ball? 🤷

This is all about proper setup, sequencing, and contact. Getting to the left side (bump and turn). Head doesn't move so contact point and face squareness become more predictable vs all over the place. Hitting up on the ball reduces spin and promotes optimal launch angle so the ball goes way further. Solid fundamentals here.

I think Dr Kwon would not have you so focused on such things. You should go see him and let your most athletic motion rule the swing.

I Jerome, time go so fast... looks like you have already hundreds of golf lessons and you are roughly a 20 hdcp player. Something is wrong with so many lessons, for u s it's good because we can learn of it. But for you, how can you put every thing together in a game. You are at a point that you have to think by your own, put every thing together. You have to analyse yourself not to be analyse by a coach. I think taking a break of coaching will help your mental, refocus ! Honestly a score of 90 is not bad but it's not so good. Imagine, a"normal" (a bit athlete) player, after a years or two and without coaching can play 100 or 110. To say the truth, you are way futher to 72 that when you start 6 mounth ago. Golf is hard Jerome. Stop listening to every one when you play against them. Play your shot, play your game and remember you play against the course, you whant to beat that course ! So if you beat that course you are gonna beat every player you play against.Be more focus when you play... on every fckn shot !!! You got to have to analyse rapidly, the wind, the elevation, the level of the ball, choose the right club for each shoot... Thats how you bild your trust in you ! There is no secret Jerome, do you really want to be a scratch play or you wanna do youtube video ?
